Why are westerners so offended over the word farang? Get over it.
rott replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Hmm, well then and you don't believe that a plural does not need an apostrophe or a second s. But you are a Thai who supports Rangers and wants a Scottish Republic, so naturally unpredictable. You could possibly be being a bit cute and not mentioning that you are of Scottish birth and have acquired Thai citizenship. Possibly. -

Likely to be a silly question, but was the final total ever stated. -

Not quite, those with black skins are known as chocolate people. I doubt that citizens of Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia etc are called farang. Generally it has referred to white people. -
And what a bloody awful place to move to, don't see any Patpong drinkers going down there. How did you find out about it and is Jenny still there.? Any other bars, restos there.?

Thanks for that Lou, I contacted someone on their fb page late last year who said they would shortly reopen on Surawong opp the Marriott. I never found it and got no further response.

Thailand (Still) Plans to Declare Covid-19 as Endemic by July
rott replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Long time ago in Swaziland I read that HIV there was endemic, meaning it was pretty much out of control and people were as likely to have it as not. -

The one I tried was 11.5%. Drinkable to me but I don't have a discerning palate and I never made a habit of it. -

There is already Thai wine made from pineapples so beer must be possible. -
Bar owners are finding it hard to recruit Thai girls

They don't seem to be finding it too difficult in Pattaya. Whether that will be the case when the go-go's are operating, we will find out then. -
Thank you Lacessit, you have reassured me. Unfortunately as I have little to no knowledge of the situation tbl also makes sense to me. But for the moment I am happy.
-
Not a troll post Lacessit, but your reading of events in your OP on 26th March - is there much of a change.? Is Russia faring better or worse now than then.? LOL I should have started at the end before posting. Your recent post above largely answers my question. I am essentially a glass half-full type, and I worry that he will come out of it smelling of roses.

Well, sideways anyway. Funny old world.

Was briefly in Myawaddy once and don't expect it would be any better than that.

I don't think there is easier and better value than Pattaya. But I am interested in the brief view I had of Sadao/Dannok and what I have seen online about Betong. I am thinking of a mooch round Thailand soon and wondering if there were many places similar to the two I mentioned. Thank you for the responsible and courteous post, not always a feature here. Not totally unusual either of course.
-
But did you like it.?
-
I never brought the place up, never been there or wanted to go.

Now you're getting it.
