    It is always the foreigner's fault even when he's stationary! Two Thai tearaways smashed into me at 90kph whilst I was waiting to U-turn. The scruffy Sattahip cop, arriving 15 minutes later, decided it was my fault as I had crossed a major road from a minor one!

    UK Visitor visa. It's unbelievable the amount of papers/translations required by UK Gov simply because I want to take my TGF with me when I attend my daughter's wedding in May!

    I've lived in Pattaya nearly 20 years. Living on the Darkside, I have to cross Railway road 3 or 4 times a week when I am forced to drive into town. I observe regular log-jams as brainless, selfish Thais jam up the works by blocking lanes in all directions. I am not surprised at the number of 'weird angry foreigners'.

    I think you've got your brain cells in reverse. 92% of Thai drivers have the intelligence of a geriatric chicken who believe in Thailand's National Motto - 'Me First' to the point of log-jamming EVERY intersection so no one can move. The only time a driver gives way politely is if he is a farang.

    How many injuries can a left ear sustain? Did the car survive intact? Mine got a nail driven through a piece of wood & placed under my nearside rear tire.

    If the British police were left puzzled, imagine the effect he will have on Thai police. Given the market for fake licences in Thailand, this looks a good career move for him so long as he doesn't do any 90 day reporting!

    Apologies if it has been mentioned earlier; I found an 'old' series (couple of months) called 'The Woman in the Wall' about the treatment of Irish girls who got pregnant & had their babies taken by the church. Some great characters & realistic dialogue. I'm 2 episodes in of 6.

    Another triumph for Pattaya Plod's disinterest in road safety. With the plethora of CCTV cameras, red light running and speeding could be swiftly eliminated IF RTP did any work!

    Doing his bit for air quality. I am puzzled by the number of Thais who park up & leave their car engines running whilst they go & get their hourly noodle intake. Is the car able to be locked with the motor running or is this a job opportunity for car thieves?

    I live next door to Swedish owners who spend their offshore money on all-night parties several MONTHS of the year and to hell with other workers who unfortunately live near them.
