  1. There are quite a lot of Guest Houses on Soi Lankee, between 3rd Road and Soi Bukhaow. Many offer breakfast as inclusive. TV and DVD Player, Air Con, Hot Water etc. Anything from 400 Baht a night to long term/monthly rate.

  2. Pattaya is not a place to go for some decent Indian nosh. It ranges from barely edible to worse than Calcutta prison food, except...

Thank heavens there is The Orangery on the second and third floor of The Avenue.

Every other Indian meal I have had in Pattaya has been a disgrace.

Try 'The Tikka Kitchen' on Soi Bukhaow, opposite Soi Honey Inn and almost opposite the entrance to the Siam Sawasdee Hotel. It is very good and very reasonably priced. It was mentioned on this board, earlier.

Just had lunch from the Tikka Kitchen.

Everything was freshly prepared and portions were good and prices reasonable.

As noted their Nan breads were excellent also.

Looks like hel_l from the outside but the food is quite good.

A good recommendation then? I have never failed to have a nice, well prepared meal in The Tikka Kitchen.

  4. What about us 50 plus year olds? I do OK, with the ladies and I have no need to dress down my age to make me look 35 plus. Many ladies really believe I am in my early to mid 40's. I dress to suit myself. And yes, ladies who try to talk themselves into being older than they actually are. I am happy attracting the mid 30's upwards ladies. :o

  5. I saw this guy once order a burger - the burger came, he put Tomato Ketchup on it and then licked all around the top of the bottle and then screwed the top back on - thats what i call extremely bad manners !!!! disgusting.

This leaves any probable germs on his tongue or in his mouth around the bottle/dispenser. Yuk :o

  6. :o

Here's a thought for the OP. Why not tell her to read a newspaper or watch the news?

Sorry to hear about the OP's health, wish you well.

If she don't listen to the news and get knowledge that way, I guess that living up there in Isaan she knows a little bit about farming, send her a picture of a winter tree with no leaves on, and tell her that the money have stopped groving.

Sitting on the floor laughing........good one......hahahahahahahhahahaha........still laughing

I use the TREE as an example everytime :D No more money. It does not grow on trees you know! :D

  7. It joined the flying pigsszzzz :o

This reminds me of the TELETUBBIES, kids programme on UK TV years ago, when my son was growing up. The Teletubbies experienced 'Flying Sphagetti on Toast', in one of their daily programmes. There was spaghetti and toast flying everywhere. :D

  8. A great indian restaurant on Soi Bua Khao across the road from Soi Honey Inn? They do delivery. Why pay for door2door services when the actual restaurant will do delivery themselves. I do not have the phone number of the indian restaurant on Soi Bua Khao but I have eaten there many many times and always really enjoyed my meal. You can stop by and get a menu to take home with their phone number and call for delivery. Owner is very friendly also and delivers the food himself... Prices are also low. Give it a try!

i think this is the same one i ate from before.......i say think because he moved from outside viewtalay1 condo to soi beukow a yr ago or maybe more. he(the owner) delivers himself and price good and food good(not the best ever but for the price good),its a small place and not too posh if its the same one.

a terrible indian place has opened on soi khao talo about half way up on the right......not cheap, slow to cook, keeniow with the meat, bland and was still hungry after my tiddly meal finally arived. no wonder its empty everytime i drive by.

always had a good meal at ali babas on central/klang road nrly opposite tops.

Yes, Sounds like the same place as we heard he has moved there from Jomtien not long ago. Its not posh, just a shop with a few tables and chairs, no air con. However, I think their food is delicious (espcecially Chicken Tikka Masala) and Ive never had it anywhere else as good as them in Thailand.

Making my mouth water now.... :o

P.s They also do great popadoms with very tasty sauces, and Nan bread is to die for, dipped in the curry. Yummy.

I agree, this little Indian Restaurant is brilliant. I mentioned this place in another post last week.

  9. It could be an after effect of the Hadron Collider causing the toast to vanish into a black hole. ...Whatever.

Toast-related aside: Laying your toaster on its side to make cheese toasties is yet another utility of this marvellous and versatile kitchen appliance. :D Just remember to point the slots at a wall beforehand, or your delicious cheesy snack will be ejected onto the floor! :o

Bloody hel_l, I never thought of that, thanks so much, right up there with only taking a couple of slices of bread from the freezer and buying velcro shoes.

But doesn't the cheese drip onto the elements and burn?

make sure you have a half inch margin between cheese and the edge of the bread. No probs.

Anyway <deleted> happened to the toast.

Does not leave much room for the cheese. Re: 1/2 inch margin. Hardly worth bothering with the cheese?
