Unwanted Member? That is a new one on me .
I had better keep quiet, I may get one of those .

Brake or cut it in 2 pieces so nobody could harm the real owner.
When he finds out, he will phone the bank to block his account.
Everybody happy.
LaoPo
Agree with LaoPo....chances are once the owner realised he or she has lost her card, they would have cancelled it anyway, so no damage done if you cut it up...
Or hand it in to the nearest named bank on the card , that is, if the card was allocated by a Thai Bank

Maybe it's alcolhol fumes Mr 12 beers!
No, seriously get a couple of large plastic sealable boxes, and put anything liable to mould in there. before I did this I had a problem with video VHS tape - all ruined, low quality CDs and anything leather. Put some chemical to absorb any moisure in the box too (forget the chemical name)
You probably mean those silicon packets to absorb moisture.
I had two little packs of those silicon packets in my laptop bag and within 4 months they had broken up. Was it the heat do you think? I am unsure

The same apples to Books. I find that all my book covers get sticky and sweaty with the humidity.
I tend to wrap my best books in a dry towel or paper towel, like kitchen roll paper

Celebrity Chefs on TV in the UK is BIG Business. Maybe the BBC, or ITV will take him on as a Celebrity Chef and offer him his own TV Programme? Question - Non-Litigational

Since the end of last week I've been having problems with BBC Radio 4 news. For a couple of days it would only play old bulletins and since Monday I've been getting a message in the player saying "Midnight News: 03/09/2008 is unavailable at this time."
Some other news broadcasts can be got but not the major ones. Anyone shed light on this - there doesn't seem to be any reports about general faults with the service so I'm wondering if somehow it's just here in Thailand.
It is happening in the UK as well, not just Thailand. It is also happening on BBC Radio 2 . Not all prgrammes, just some. Mainly 'recordings.

Sup guys, I'm gonna leave for Thai and will have tons of free time. Thought I pick up playing the piano. How long and what needed to be able to start playing Chopin's Nocturnes. I really don't care about reading notes and certification. I just wanna be able to play Chopin's stuff. I'm in love with him.
I can see some really good answers coming up on this topic.
There are a few Piano Bars scattered around Pattaya. I know of at least one. They may let you have a 'go'

I read this post and changes with interest.
I am currently having a mess of a time attempting to put this information, not only to schools, but also to language centres. It will just not be accepted that we were correct in our assumptions. I am referring to the article a team wrote recently in the Bangkok Post. The article was correct and absolutely perfect, in every way.
I have to get back to Thailand, as I love teaching, and no, it is not easy.
Mike
Hello, TEFLMike, What did the article pertain to? and what assumptions are you refering to?
I know that this topic of non-degree teachers always ends in a heated debate. I feel almost indifferent about the whole issue. I have a BA in counseling which has nothing to do with teaching English at all especially L2, but here I am! I really enjoy teaching and have a very good relationship with both Ss and faculty.
So what makes a good teacher? Do you really need "a degree" in the LOS to teach English? Hmm.....................
The article was in the Horizons Supplement of the Bangkok Post a few weeks ago. Namely 'A Polite Manifesto' Written by a team of teachers. It was very well written and explained quite a few things relating to teaching in Thailand and the new rules. The method 3 was also mentioned in the same article. Has somone at the Ministry of Educaton actuallr read it and made note? It may appear has though someone has.

Anyone managed to find out the latest information regarding the postings situation please?
