A "cop" fines a *group* of tourists for dropping *a* receipt? You are telling us that a group of people are fined for the action of one person? Seems a bit unbelievable to me.

Sorry he fined two people out of six in the group .

On a number times I've had my cards "locked" in Thailand.

A call to the card centre and 10 minutes later they were fine.

On the other hand I forgot to tell the Halifax about a last-minute trip to BKK and it took 2 days to authorize the card fro use here YMMV.

The halifax did this to me as well but when i phoned them they told me its just ATMs that i could not use, And iit was still ok in shops.

Not to make excuses for Fergie because I believe his record speaks for itself, but when you are juggling 3 competitions at a time, you go with what you feel will give you the best chance at all 3.

transaction , moved 2 feet to the right and used KASIKORNBANK atm with no fee,

With the baht down against the pound , uk Banks charging 1.50 gbp and now mostThai Banks charging 150.baht ,

the baht today trades stonger (higher) against USD/EUR/AUD but weaker against GBP and JPY. Thai banks open or not, has nothing to do with what the baht does.

no but if your in thailand at the moment with £, then you are getting the ex rate at money changes at the rate before the holiday started. when the banks open in nthe morning i think we will see a rather better ex rate than prior to the hols ?

Don't struggle with hopeless uncomfortable bus services. Just go to a travel agent in central Pattaya and join a joint minibus going to Trat (including boat fare) you can get a seat for around 500 baht if you shop around. They will pick you up where you are staying and stop for urination breaks on the way. (Approx 4 hours)

Have to agree, theres a few like Joy Travel soi 8 they'll sort you out and cheap enough. have you heard the myth if you go to Koh Chang you'll finnish with your partner. had a cool trip and im still married - the drie down was cool but coming back i had Satan as my driver it was a real white knuckle ride.
