Deputy PM warns of sabotage
In a televised programme, Suthep, who is in charge of national security, said that people should take cautiousness when travelling in Bangkok and nearby provinces due to red-shirted protesters.
"I would like to warn the public to be more careful on their travelling during this period of time. There could be sabotage or attack during the night. Leaders of the protesters reportedly plan to stage unrest to damage the country," Suthep said.
Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban on Monday warned people of possible sabotage during Monday night, saying red shirted leaders would do anything to destroy the country's image

No problems, apart from the ordinary, around Nana and Chidlom....
Skytrain and MRT have been running, though the Victory Monument area has had its problems today.
Siam Paragon and various Central Department stores, including Chidlom, closed thru Wednesday.
Taxis and buses are running, but in some areas, they are being used to block streets by protestors.
Thanks for that

Thick smoke seen at Victory Monument
.
Red-shirted protesters reportedly set tire
rubbers on fire just opposite the Rajvithi Hospital and some protesters also drove a car over a fiberglass police statue near the monument. Police also asked people to get out of the pedestrian bridges around the monument but the skytrain station was not closed yet.

Britons warned off Bangkok travel
Britons travelling to Bangkok should "urgently review their plans" after the Thai government declared a state of emergency, the Foreign Office has said
"British residents in, and visitors to, Bangkok are advised to avoid any areas where demonstrations are taking place and to stay indoors as far as possible."
The FCO told Britons abroad in Thailand to avoid demonstrations and gatherings, including near Government House in central Bangkok, where anti-government protesters have been holding an on-going rally since 26 March.
And so it starts

I think it's done me a favour anyway. I'm struggling on 20,000 baht a month and I have been offered 40,000 in BKK. Struggling on low wages in Thailand is no joke. I have friends in Bkk and my weakness for transsexuals is less likely to be public property in a metropolis. I think moving to Bkk would be a good move.
Your Teaching and only getting 20,000 ?
Maybe you would be better off moving to BBK . I work in a small town and understand your problem
Ps my problem is women
So many windows and so little time (casanova)
I'm teaching part time in a farcical government school. My job is more riot control than teaching plus I'm "Kikiat mak maak"
40,000 baht sounds like hard work but I spose it's time to pull my finger out.
"Fix Up, Look Sharp"
PPS: If only my weakness was only women, I have the double whammy of fancying all the women I see and secretly fancying ladyboys. Sometimes I think life would be soo much easier if I had no libido.
Well the upside is that your guaranteed your going to pull on your nights out 100%

Can anyone confirm this? Thaksin in Thailand? Recent rumors that he was in Cambodia and he's publicly announced the start of his "peoples revolution" and his return to Thailand. Nobody can say he hasn't got balls!
Thaksin has balls??? He's spent the past few years running, hiding, and attacking people from video links and phone-ins. Must be some tiny balls.
My friend(Thai) on Kho Chang just laughed
and said hope he has a water pistol and powder
The Kho Chang is too small to hid on , unless he is in a boat of the coast fishing with Elvis

The Lao/Thai border crossing in Nong Chai is closed and there are reports of road blocks in Chiang Mai and Lampang in northern Thailand. Red-shirt leaders have threatened major protests in 50 cities throughout Thailand in the next few days.
