  1. @MJCM bluejets is giving you a summary of the way that will virtually guarantee no interference and is in all the guides to cabling. He is missing the point that very many people ignore the guides have both data and mains cables running side by side and see no significant, or any, signal degradation. Now if you are not using twisted pair (you aren’t) this makes interference much more likely though still not certain. My inclination would be to run the cables together (assuming the HDPE is above ground) and see if there is a problem. You can always run another length of HDPE and VCT 2x1.5mm² (neither of these are very expensive ) to cure the problem.
  2. I agree however much of the flooding, not only or even principally in Thailand, is self inflicted. The sad truth is that people often choose to live in flood planes or areas liable to natural disasters. Florida is an example of an area that inflicted the recent tornado damage on itself. The cure would be to move people out of the high risk areas. That would actually solve the problem.
  3. That depends of @MJCM is going to bury the HDPE or not. If not in ground the THW is ok
  4. True, but only if you don’t have substantial assets in the U.K. If you have funds in the U.K. that pay any significant amounts of interest and have the ability to move them an off shore investment will avoid U.K. tax liabilities and also Thai tax. If the U.K. income is solely from business profits then moving money off shore many not be so useful
  5. Both of those statements are what buyers of windows an android computers/devices like to try to convince others (and themselves) of. The only users that this could be true for are those who only use web browsers and email.
  6. My SIL has an iPad 3 that has a legacy program that she uses regularly, when I visited she complained that it had got unusably slow over time. It had less than 5% free space, after I deleted programs that were now available on later devices I got it to 50% free, it is now faster than it ever was. So I agree that the take home is keep an eye on free space and delete untill there is at least 20% free specially on SSD based machines. Though for spinning mass storage a much smaller percentage works well
  7. @Kan Win In general, and I don’t know the exact process, if you can login to your account you can see the wallet balance under the account tab, as you can see we have a zero balance. failing that you should try the chat line or the Lazada phone number In Bangkok for help, though it isn’t so easily found.
  8. You have to find the paint you want to use and that it is suitable for spraying as well as the specifications for the spray gun requirements before you can buy the spray gun needed. You will also need to know the amount of paint that will be required (you should plan on a 50% wastage if using air). Once you have that you can shop around for a system that will work.
  9. Why use a VNP for Lazada? Though I use a VPN occasionally I usually disable it for Lazada.
  10. I have several times seen people who are well trained in their respective fields in one country be blindsided by the facts that what they have always used is not available in Thailand or it is available in a few places using different terms that they don’t know of. The item you characterised as silicone is now obliviously not the silicone that is widely available and used here and is the wrong product. So unless you actually say exactly what is meant rather than a using a term that will be widely misinterpreted is it surprising that people, including myself, will assume that the user is as ignorant as is common with tradesmen (loose term) here.
  11. I have been met many times by a taxi, who’s driver is a family friend, at the airport. All the suggestions of meeting at Gates pose serious risks for the driver, he may get lucky or have an expensive problem. Our driver always parks in the car park and we meet in the airport then go to his taxi. The driver usually gets there early, as much as an hour or two, we never have to wait.
  12. Pay the fee to have the licenses changed or just ignore it and wait for 5 years both are probably equally OK
  13. Are you sure it’s not your wallet telling you to stop spending? 55555 ????
  14. you have linked to a non authoritative sources and the data are incorrect Your links do not link to the actual FAA RTCA rules that are discussed In FO 13010 DATE: 10/28/13 these state that cellular transmitters must be off that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not limited unless the airline has restrictions window says The actual regulations are in FCC regulations 47 CFR 22.925 and only limit Nothing about Wi-Fi or Bluetooth so you really should understand what good research actually is rather than going by faulty information.
  15. And the standard you speak of is where? While you may not have information about apple devices, I can assure you that none of the recent devices I have switch off Bluetooth when put into airplane mode. I haven’t checked my legacy devices I will add information as and when I get it. As I only have a single Android device and I’m not sure where it is, I can only speculate in the same way as you are speculating about apple products. Your speculation is however demonstrably incorrect as my pictures prove.
  16. That is exactly as I thought. Though I can’t see a reason for a fuse there. Did you find anything saying why it has a fuse or how many of the sockets are protected?
  17. Isn’t that guaranteed to be a hardening and setting material?
  18. The pipe joint compound is an alternative, though I also usually use the PTFE tape. The joint compound is better for bigger threads
  19. @YorkshireTyke Are you sure that it is the same product? All the SGC, and most other brands, use the green top for the solvent welding glue. The pipe joint compound (that is the search term) is a non hardening one and is specifically designed (according to the label) for easy disassembly. The tops are all silver. So it looks as if you’ve got the wrong product, as far as I can see all versions are imported, a can’t locate an SGC version.
  20. The picture you show has a fuse position beside the left most socket immediately under the left most switch. There is no reason for that removable cover unless it is to allow for a fuse to be installed or replaced. That is why I question if it is compliant as I know of no U.K. products that have such a cover where it is not for a fuse, and no U.K. socket would need one given that all U.K. plugs have fuses anyway. Of course the picture is such low quality that there could be a different explanation, if so what is it?
  21. Silicone is not the thing to use, just buy the plumbers putty/semi liquid pipe joint compound. It is easy to find once you know the magic words (probably American) and look in the correct places or use Lazada. FWIW I virtually never use it and I don’t know if the can I bought from one if the big suppliers a few years ago is still liquid. NB I just checked and though it has volatile solvents, it is still useable. Your plumber is as good as most Thai sparkies ????
  22. You have incomplete and wrong information you are correct that airplane mode does stop cellular data connections. You are correct that airplane mode does stop Wi-Fi. Airplane mode does not stop Bluetooth so you are wrong (at least for the largest single maker of devices) How do you think that users can connect to the planes data services. As an experiment I enabled airplane mode. As you correctly state data and Wi-Fi are disabled Bluetooth is not disabled I then connected to my hotspot, this connected via Bluetooth and enabled a hitherto unsurfaced wireless Ethernet via Bluetooth interface So why you think that Bluetooth is automatically disabled I don’t know, it’s certainly possible that Android devices may do that, but the largest single supplier of devices (Apple) does not. It is extremely likely that other Android devices do not disable BT or lie to you, as the need to connect to airplane data services easily will mandate that BT is switched on in AIRPLANE mode.
  23. All Skype to non Skype calls cost, absolutely correct that they are inexpensive, calling a U.K. landline or USA one is less than $2 per hour. If you regularly call specific countries there are subscriptions for a few dollars that mean there are no extra costs.
  24. Not if you want to use data, Yes Confirm with DTAC phone help
