UK Gibraltar Deal Triggers Backlash: UK ‘surrendering Gibraltar’
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I judge people not by what they say, but by what they do. Nothing Labour has done since coming to power suggests anything other than a deliberate attempt to weaken the country. Based on their actions, I believe my conclusion is perfectly rational. -
UK Gibraltar Deal Triggers Backlash: UK ‘surrendering Gibraltar’
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Labour will do anything they can to weaken Britain. Chagos. Gibralta. Probably Falklands next. They hate Britain with a passion. Classic self loathing leftists.- 63 replies

Sharper than who predicted? The BBC? Owen Jones? Emily Maitlis? James O'Brien? Certainly not me. I predicted exactly this. Rachel from accounts with her fake CV and her budget for recession made it inevitable. They are completely inept. Unfit for purpose. Couldn't run a bath. Labour are destroying the economy just as they always do.

USA Trump’s Hush Money Case Heads to Federal Court as Appeal Battle Begins
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Good Luck Donald. This disgusting lawfare needs to be shown for exactly what it was. The election is over. The use of "convicted felon" in every sentence involving Trump failed spectacularly, as I predicted it would. No need to keep up the charade any longer.- 15 replies

Calling people a racist is SO 2024. It's extreme right wing terrorist now. 😆 Just FYI...

There's a lovely spot outside Westminster that could fit a makeshift camp for thousands of immigrants. I wonder why that hasn't happened. Oh what's that? You don't want it on YOUR front doorstep?
-
They are not helping them. They are making it legal so they don't have to spend money policing/fixing the issue. Easier to simply pass a law and then pretend the problem is solved. And the sycophants are claiming it's a compassionate move because the homeless simply want to live on the streets in peace. 😆 Meanwhile we spend millions every day ensuring immigrants do not suffer the same fate. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/05/07/true-cost-of-asylum-hotels-migration-channel-labour/

USA Gavin Newsom’s Stand Against Trump Revives His Presidential Hopes
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Newsom is the biggest slimeball I've seen in US politics for quite a while. As slippery as they come. Quite prepared to damage America to further his own career. I'm not surprised he's popular amongst Liberals.- 151 replies

Oh yeah, Labour are doing a great job on the immigration problem. 😃 A few token arrests doesn't fool me and it isn't fooling the electorate. 95% up on the Tories final full year in power. Which was only a couple of years ago. Great job Keir, great job. You're certainly smashing the gangs. Labour aren't fooling anyone, as the local elections showed. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/clyqze17q9do

Accident London-Bound Air India Flight Crashes Near Ahmedabad
JonnyF replied to webfact's topic in World News
Very sad. Looking at the wreckage I doubt anyone survived. Also plenty of deaths of people where it crashed as well I'd imagine. -
Yes, that's exactly why we need to spend British taxes supporting these vulnerable British people, instead of paying for hotels for illegal immigrants who threw their passport in the channel as they crossed on a dinghy.
-
Exactly. And as Chomps said, they want to live rough anyway so Rayner is actually doing them a favour. Heart of gold that woman, salt of the earth. Finally Labour have found something for which they can support freedom of choice. The freedom to be poor. The freedom to have nothing. The freedom to live rough on the streets. Delivering real solutions for the homeless. Bravo Angela, Bravo. Time for a holiday to celebrate your brilliance.

Failing to stop the arrival of hundreds of thousands of immigrants to a country with a chronic housing, healthcare and education problem. Spending millions on hotels for said immigrants while watching (and now being declared a hero for legalizing) ex-servicemen and indiginous Brits often with drug or mental health issues rot and frequently die on the streets.
-
Britain slips further towards third world status under Labour. Rayner is well aware of the chronic housing shortage in Britain which will only get worse with Labour's misguided policies. So far easier to simply legalize homelessness rather than ensure there are enough homes for people. I'm sure she'll make sure there are enough homes for all the immigrants though.

It's interesting that once again, the focus seems to be entirely on the "mostly peaceful" protests by those troublesome locals, as opposed to the crime that led to the protest. Just one paragraph on that incident. Although it is rather telling.

Takes a big man to admit you made a mistake. Well done Elon. I'm sure you and Donald will be laughing about this over a beer soon.

BBC Looks to Regain Trust of Reform Voters Amid Growing Political Divide
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
They ignored Lineker's left wing extremism for years. Made excuses for him. Tacitly supported him. When he started posting comments about Jews titled "Zionism explained in 2 minutes" with associated rat emojis they realized not even they could publicly defend him any more. But they still didn't sack him. He resigned. 😆 He'll probably have a statue at BBC HQ in a few years when all the furore has died down. -
UN Urges UK to Scrap Chagos Deal and Protect Chagossian Rights
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
It's mind blowing to think that the UK would be so stupid as to give away territory, then lease it back at huge expense causing huge diplomatic issues with disparate groups for various different reasons. Until you realize who is behind it, that is. David "Mastermind" Lammy.
