Controversy Erupts Over Release of Terrorist Linked to Manchester Bomber
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Calm down calm down. 😆 It is about a guy with links to the Manchester bomber. He is mentioned in the thread title and also in the subsequent story. I did not say it was "solely and exclusively" about the Manchester bomber. -
Controversy Erupts Over Release of Terrorist Linked to Manchester Bomber

No. If I was still radicalized like he is I'm sure I'd be delighted to be let free to continue plotting to kill innocent people. As I'm sure he is delighted. -

It's about someone with links to the Manchester bomber. Are you really here just to pedantically start arguments? 😃 -

Sickening isn't it. Some even gloating on this thread that he has served his sentence and is free to go. -

Yes, and now he is out, primed to re-offend. Like I said, let's hope the police can divert resources to monitoring him, instead of scrolling through X looking for hurty words. -

Trump Lashes Out at New York Times, Demands Apology for “Phony” Coverage

Trump is absolutely right. But in fairness, when your candidate is Harris you can't really tell the truth. -
Elon Musk Sparks Controversy, Calling the UK a ‘Tyrannical Police State’
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
No he didn't. You seem to be confusing Lee Dunn with Billy Thompson. We are discussing Lee Dunn, who questioned what happens when they come to "your turf" as Angela Rayner stated they would. Your opposition to freedom of speech is noted though. -

In which tweet? Please provide a link/quote to where he referenced gangs. -

You're being sillly now Ray. I posted links to backup each of my claims. You are clearly very upset that I have called out your gaslighting and so now you are accusing me of the same thing. That's a tactic 7 year olds employ. 😆 "You smell". "No YOU smell". Not a level I wish to steep to. Have a great day. -
Elon Musk Sparks Controversy, Calling the UK a ‘Tyrannical Police State’

It's the author of the article that called them gangs, not the guy who was sent to jail. If you wish to repeat/re-enforce such stereotypes, that's up to you. -
The Decline of Free Speech: How the UK Became a Third-Class Nation
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Yes, I let 3 others slide. This thread is about free speech Ray, not people getting arrested after fleeing the police down busy London streets. But I guess if that's all you've got, you have to roll with it. 😆 -

I think you are on the wrong thread Chomps. This is about the Manchester bomber. -
Controversy Erupts Over Release of Terrorist Linked to Manchester Bomber
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Indeed. Let's hope the police are watching him like a hawk so that as soon as he resumes his terror campaign they can get him back in. Maybe they could take a few officers away from the "non crime hate incident" intimidation visits? I posted several links for you yesterday Ray. Are you pretending to have forgotten them? 😃 -

I have provided multiple examples for my claims including links. Your response is "you're imagining it" with no counter examples (except the black couple arrested for failing to stop and then fleeing the police at speed down busy streets 😃). If that's the best you've got, I'm not surprised you resort to gaslighting. -
It's not really a tough choice. The country is crumbling and needs to be fixed ASAP. People are dieing from cold, or because they cannot get NHS treatment. They can't afford the rent (assuming they are lucky enough to find an available house), or to put food on the table. Trying to force people into electric cars is hardly a top priority.

If he's is deemed a continued danger to the public as the article states, he should not be released. But they probably need the cells for those dastardly social media posters.- 60 replies

Labour MPs Call for Greater Diversity in Parliamentary Art

Just set up some TV screens and run the adverts from mainstream British TV. There's hardly any white people on those. -

Gangs? I think you are showing your bias there Steven. A "group" might be more appropriate language. And yes they are coming to a town near everyone, according to Labour's very own Angela Rayner. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2024/06/26/labour-every-uk-borough-must-take-fair-share-migrants/ And yes, many are indeed from Asia. So why was he jailed for repeating already stated government policy? Seems a tad authoritarian, no?
