  1. Nice 'tash Bro. Not quite Burt Reynolds, but it's the thought that counts. ????
  2. I've driven stoned many times (on private land) as my friend's family owned a huge farm and a few of us would drive out through the fields to the elevated areas with the best views in a Land Rover and smoke copious amounts of weed, watch the sunset and generally talk nonsense. I always drove very carefully when stoned, very cautious and focused, kind of "in the zone". I'd go as far as to say I was safer on the way back to the farmhouse (absolutely caned on weed) than I was on the way out (straight). I also did the same journey drunk (and once on Acid but that's a different story altogether) and drove like a complete lunatic. The two are very different drugs. Disclaimer ; No animals were harmed during these journeys.
  3. Not for me. I've had 2 AZ and 1 Pfizer. That's it, I'm done. Screw this new normal barlucks. It's old normal for me.
  4. "Miss Thailand" always seems to be models that look European, either because they actually are half Causcasian or because they have plastic surgery to give them a more European nose, eyelids etc. It's weird. You think they'd be a bit more secure in the way they look especially as many of the more natural looking Thai women are very beautiful. I guess they consider that natural look to be too plain...
  5. I'll avoid THAI wherever possible. Too many stories of them not refunding cancelled flights from last year. Difficult to trust them after that. I find EVA much better.
  6. StickBoy is currently begging on Twitter for donations to make him a millionaire within 7 days. Sad stuff...
  7. I think Thailand will be one of the last countries in the world to stop having mandatory masks. A lot of Thais like it as it shows how virtuous/greng jai they are. Police love it as they can make money fining people. The Junta love it as it demonstrates the control they have to force people to put cloth over their face. I don't see it ending any time soon.
  8. That's right. My understanding was that Stickboy was involved in the company that a) purchased the site and b) kept Stickman on as an employee to write the column. Then Stickboy disappears from Bangkok in a puff of smoke and the Stickman column makes a comeback.
  9. I used to enjoy his weekly column. It was generally well written and often interesting. I think he'll find it tough to come up with content seeing as not much is happening here and he's living overseas but I'll probably read it anyway. I assume this is related to StickBoy's hasty exit stage left. Maybe someone else has stepped in to fund Stickman writing the column again?
  10. I wonder if they will sell ATK's at the park's entrance? Could be a good money spinner. 70 Baht for Thai's (or Asian foreigners that look a bit Thai), 700 Baht for white foreigners. If anyone complains, just tell them they aren't overcharging white foreigners. Thai's (or Thai looking Asians) are simply getting a 90% discount ????.
  11. Thailand put too many eggs in the Chinese tourist basket, and now it's been dropped. No sympathy from me. As for the Chinese, they've done enough damage. Let them stay in China.
  12. I doubt the ripoff ATK tests are helping either. "Come to Rayong and pay to have a stick shoved up your nose and a wade in crude oil". Now I'm no marketing guru but I reckon I've seen better campaigns.
  13. Very sad. But nothing to do with the size of the bike. They only go as fast as you twist the throttle. They're not wild horses with a mind of their own. Looks like the Vios was doing the old "Pull onto the highway and get straight into the outside lane while still doing 10kph to make a U turn" trick. Probably while simultaneously perfecting the "No need to look if I do it slow" routine.
  14. Not the word beginning with C that I would have chosen to describe him.
  15. I also dislike both sides and have no political affiliation to either. They key difference is that one was voted for by the Thai people and the other stole power through the barrel of a gun. One could be removed by the electorate if they were unpopular, one cannot. Thaksin brought huge investment into Thailand, creating jobs etc. Remember back when Thailand was an Asian Tiger and a fun, vibrant place to be? Seems an age away doesn't it... Also, despite Thaksin's undoubted corruption he did do some positive things, he did throw the poor a few crumbs. The Junta has done nothing for the poor, absolutely nothing and has taken Thailand back decades. The gap between rich and poor has grown massively since he stole power. His vision is to return to the days of the serfs graaping at the feet of the lords. All the while spouting his fake puritanism and donning his pious demeanour. Thaksin was much better for Thailand than Prayut has been or could ever be, the fact that your house got flooded during his premiership should not cloud your ability to see that.
  16. Exactly. If the Junta are ever voted out of power (unlikely given how they've rigged the election system and eliminated the competition) they will simply wait a year or two until some minor event happens (flooding, drought etc.) and then steal power illegally again, proudly proclaiming it's for the good of Thailand and all Thai people. The ignorant will cheer. Those who object will risk physical violence and/or jail. And so the cycle will continue.
  17. Doesn't sound much of a businessman. Seems to get ripped off on every deal he does and rides around on an MSX. Either way, this was obviously a massive over-reaction by a very unstable individual, especially killing the daughter who had nothing to do with it as far as I can tell. As for the other victims, not paying back debts is the equivalent of stealing (a very cowardly way of stealing but stealing nonetheless) and I live by the rule "If it ain't yours, don't take it". If you steal from people you might get away with it. You might get a good kicking or in extreme cases you might get shot (especially in Thailand). Any Thai knows the risks of ripping people off here and it seems three of the four victims in this case decided to take that risk. Hopefully the perpertrator goes away for life and some other people think twice before ripping off others and their parents.
  18. This is what happens when Thais leave the country and are subject to rigorous testing procedures upon landing in a foreign country. Turns out, it's rife here. https://wbcboxing.com/en/new-opponent-for-cuadras-after-sor-rungvisai-tests-positive-for-covid-19/ Who knew? ???? Seems his Thai manager is already pretending it's non Covid related though, despite a positive test. Save face chaps, pretend he simply boarded the flight with another illness that would stop him fighting. Yeah.. right. What a shame though. Would have been a good fight.
  19. Actually he pulled troops out of Iraq as well as Afghanistan. But my point on the topic of THIS thread topic remains, China has much more in common with Thailand than the US does. China will continue it's takeover of SE Asia via economic force and incentives. There will only be one winner, and that is China. Thailand will sell out at the expense of it's people for the economic benefit of a very few Elite families, many of whom have Chinese heritage.
  20. Yeah Tigers are great. Lions too. You should come and meet mine. Sounds like you'd love him ????.
