That's a pretty good price given the price of other 400cc bikes on the market. I actually like the look of it even though retros aren't my thing. I do believe it is a branding exercise though. This is basically a Bajaj bike with Triumph styling and logos on it. It does seem to be an excellent fit and finish though... It would make a good city bike/commuter.

I would rent there for a few months to see if you like the area. I have been going to Rayong for 15 years (and actually considered buying a condo there as well) but my visits are only for 2-3 days at a time. Any longer than that is a bit boring, there really isn't that much to do there except go to the beach which soon gets old after a few days. As for the investment side, unless you plan to live in it then I would say it is a poor investment. You won't get much in rent and by the time you've paid the juristic fees, someone to manage/clean it then you won't be getting much every month and it will be a load of hassle. It's unlikely to increase much in value as Thais prefer to buy new and many of the buildings are not well managed/maintained. I decided not to buy and now just stay in hotels when I visit and have the money invested elsewhere instead. I'm not part of the "don't buy in Thailand" brigade as I own a condo in Bangkok it's just I think you need to live in it for it to be a worthwhile investment (I've recouped about 60% of the purchase price in saved rent so far but the unit hasn't increased in value).

Forced to wait by the judge, Trump is out of his comfort zone
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
As soon as I saw this opening line (and where the article came from, the leftist BBC) it was obvious that this was going to be a biased anti Trump opinion piece. They really should do better . -
Donald Trump says he will ask the Judge to step aside
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Ridiculous. Why not just go the whole hog and let Biden appoint the judge? Or better yet, appoint Biden AS the judge. I mean, they really couldn't get any more obvious at this point. What an embarrassment for the US. They really have lost all moral authority, the fact they still feel they have the right to comment on other nations legal systems is comical at this point. https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/us-concerned-about-developments-legal-system-after-thailand-election-2023-07-17/ -
Brussels tells EU states: Ignore UK on post-Brexit trade
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
They just can't help themselves, acting like a woman scorned even when it is at the expense of it's own member states. They don't really care about the states themselves, only in maintaining power with an ever tightening grip over them in the quest for a fedarlized Europe. Thank God we left. -
Couldn't have said it better myself. It's good to see the American people finally waking up to the charade that is the Biden clan. His term has been incredibly damaging to the reputation of the United States overseas.

Members Choice UK to retain EU safety mark in latest Brexit climbdown
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
You're quite the conspiracy theorist aren't you ????. I'm not sure how you think Farage convinced the bank to write the scathing dossier on him and then not only breach his client confidentiality but also close his account, but don't let something like logic stand in your way... Nope, rest assured, Coutts/NatWest brought this all on themselves with their political posturing and pathetic virtue signaling. Go Woke. Go Broke. -

He is only just starting. He already brought the UK out of the corrupt EU. He is going after the politically biased lefty virtue signalling banks now. With success again. Store up that hate. Hold onto that anger. You're going to need it. -

I wasn't aware Farage was a British MP. I wasn't aware Farage represents all Brexiteers. He is entitled to his opinion as any private citizen is. On this issue I disagree with him. Fortunately the British people made it a moot point. It was a huge victory which was implemented. A victory for Democracy against left wing big state, big government, federalist authoritarianism. Nice one Nige... -

Great news for responsible savers. Interest rates have been way too low for far too long. Good to see some fiscal responsibility. -

Taking rules? ???? We are voluntarily using their certification until we don't want to any more. Plain and simple. Must really burn to see the UK economy growing while Germany's stagnates. -

JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
They postponed it - whoopydoo. A sensible move IMO, it's not a priority. We'll do it when we want. Why? Because we can. The British do what we want, when we want. No more being told what to do by the failing corrupt federalist EU #thankgodweleft -

I thought the EU said we couldn't just pick the parts we wanted. Seems like we can after all. More Remainer lies being exposed. #therewasnocliffedge
