  1. Like most things here, it's better to take care of it yourself. Our lake is almost full already, this was taken on Tuesday. The government water is often of such poor quality that using it to water our trees/plants often causes them to wilt. It also gets switched off at random times meaning you can't set up any type of watering routine that depends on it.
  2. Exactly. It's no coincidence that all the air hostesses on Thai Airways are attractive, slim and have a certain 'look'. People need to accept that not everything in life is equal. Some are stronger, some are more attractive, some are more intelligent. Equality of outcome is a childish fantasy. All the crybabies "Oh it's not fair" ????. Who told them life was fair? I had a very pretty but very chubby female friend who went to work in S.Korea as a teacher and was constantly offended when Koreans openly said things like "You've got such a pretty face but you're too fat, why don't you lose some weight then you'd be beautiful". I told her they were just being honest and instead of getting upset why not use it as motivation to lose some weight, get healthy and look and feel better. She didn't speak to me for 2 months but did eventually lose the weight (I'm not claiming it was due to what I said) and she looked 10 times better and was no doubt much healthier. All this "Oh it's OK to be obese" is detrimental to people's health. It's not OK. It's dangerous.
  3. Get a grip ????. I have nothing against fat people. If they wish to lead an unhealthy lifestyle and put themselves at risk of multiple health disorders such as diabetes that is their choice. They can balloon to 200 kgs for all I care, knock themselves out. However, when their poor decisions starts to impact me then I become irritated. One of the ways it affects me is when I am sat next to someone on a plane whose body mass is so huge that it takes my personal space (that I have paid for), and makes my journey very uncomfortable. If they buy 2 seats, no problem. I'll happily buy them a beer and thank them for being a considerate human being.
  4. It was an example of how small amounts add up. In reality, those 50 kgs would probably be used for carrying commercial freight which earns the airline extra revenue. That's amazing, well done. So can I. Sitting next to an opinionated, sanctimonious, argumentative individual might be worse. Likewise, someone who had terrible BO might be worse. Screaming children with travel sickness might be worse. None of which has any relevance to my point about fat people spilling out of their seats into mine being incredibly irritating and uncomfortable. Like i said, if they can't fit into their own seat they should be forced to pay for the seat next to them instead of allowing their body to pour into it free of charge and crushing the poor individual unlucky enough to be sat next to them.
  5. Sounds practical to me. Weight is of critical importance to an aircraft, 5 fat attendants could equal an additional passenger. Plus they need to fit between the aisles and food carts easily without pressing up against passengers sat in the aisle seats. They should also be fit in the case of an emergency. I'd like them to do the same with passengers. Nothing worse than having an obese person sat next to you, their body spilling over the arm rest into your seat for 12 hours. If they can't fit into the seat they should be forced to purchase two.
  6. Yep, maybe she was expecting a bit of bean flicking but didn't want to play hide the digit? It would be unusual for the masseur to go straight from a perfectly normal massage to insertion in one second. But who knows? Her word against his at the end of the day.
  7. Not really that smart and savvy. The condos are still being sold, they are just being sold to wealthier people who then rent them out, using the rent they receive from the "smart and savvy" renters to pay off the mortgage and ending up with an asset. The "smart and savvy" renters on the other hand, still have nothing after 20 years. The reason they aren't buying is that they can't afford it. Nothing to do with being smart and savvy.
  8. Exactly. The West has largely accepted LGBT and looks what's happening. Now they don't want mere acceptance, they want to use whatever toilets and changing rooms they want, they want to choose which prison they go to, they want to dance erotically down the street half naked to celebrate their pride, they want to force people to refer to them by whatever pronouns they deem appropriate, often under the threat of violence. https://nypost.com/2023/05/09/starbucks-fires-trans-worker-who-accused-customer-of-being-transphobic/ The likes of Rusiia, China etc. are probably looking at what's happening in the West and thinking "Nah, not worth the bother. It will never be enough for them anyway". Massive over-reach by the LGBT "community" which will end up backfiring.
  9. Thanks for the sensible response. It's a welcome change from the lazy insults from other less thoughtful posters. So it would appear that LGBT paradise is difficult to define. Which was clearly the point I was making. Others would disagree with you and want more or less rights on each point. An interesting debate on what the end goal of the LGBT "community" actually wants (if such a community really exists, but that's another debate). Douglas Murray for example is a gay man who would probably not want the rights I suggested others might and certainly wouldn't call it paradise. Now, there's one gay man I could really get behind (if you'll excuse the pun).
  10. The safest pronoun to use when unsure. Just trying to be polite.
  11. And quite another labeling something as homophobic and then being unable to define one single thing that was homophobic.
  12. Almost all. Yet you can't name one. Interesting. It's almost as if you've got nothing.
  13. When they've got nothing they just throw out insults that they cannot back up when challenged.
  14. I see. You cannot pinpoint a single homophobic statement in there. You've got nothing.
  15. What is LGBT "paradise" anyway? Somewhere where children under 16 can have body parts removed because they think they might like to be the opposite gender? Somewhere where people are arrested/pilloried for using the pronoun for someone's biological sex because the individual they are referring to wishes to be another gender? Somewhere where men can wear a dress and then use the women's toilets/changing rooms? Or go to women's prisons? Somewhere where we have pride days every week/month so the LBGT community can flaunt their sexuality by dancing erotically while half naked in the streets? Because if that's "paradise", maybe Thailand is better off as it is?
  16. Sometimes we don't see things are they are, but as we are.
  17. The whole post was spot on. The fact it highlights some issues you would rather not accept doesn't make it a rant.
  18. Exactly. I am a fairly liberal person (in the classic sense of the word, not the politcially hijacked sense) but I feel no need to celebrate it. I have no issue with LBGT or whatever. Each to their own. But I have no desire to celebrate people being gay any more than celebrating they are straight, Catholic, short, thin, black, blonde, freckled or whatever. Perhaps if they stopped drawing attention to their differences they would just fit in more easily and be more readily accepted. Of course, it appears that being treated as normal is the last thing many of these people want. They want to be the centre of attention, special, to be celebrated, admired. Hence the parades where they dance around half naked flaunting their sexuality, often in front of children.
  19. Oh look, another defender of Sturgeon's hate speech. Nice deflection BTW, but may I remind you that this thread is about Sturgeon's arrest for stealing SNP funds for personal gain. I don't recall Truss being arrested for such a crime, nor is she the subject of the thread. Back on topic please. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/06/11/europe/nicola-sturgeon-snp-arrested-gbr-intl/index.html
  20. She hasn't been charged "yet". However, police are generally reluctant to arrest such public figures unless they have very strong grounds to believe that there is a case to be answered. I would expect charges in the next few weeks no matter how many times she pretends to have lost her memory. Yes, Scottish "Independence" (if you can call leaving the UK to join the EU as seeking Independence) has never looked such a distant dream. I'm surprised Humza Yousaf even supports it given the number of white politicians in the EU (which he clearly has issues with).
  21. Whilst I dislike her policies and her lies and cover-ups, my main focus on her (and the topic of this thread BTW) is due to the recent arrest for misappropriating funds which were donated to her political cause. I find such behaviour immoral in the extreme, especially from one who loves to appear so virtuous. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/jun/11/nicola-sturgeon-arrestedquestioned-in-snp-finances-inquiry As someone who supports that cause (however misguided), I find your continued support of her somewhat irrational. It's like supporting the thief in court who picked your pockets.
  22. Do you have anything to add other than "what about the English and the Tories"? The attempts at deflection really are hilarious.
