In reality, Thailand is not the LGBTQ+ paradise like it pretends to be
JonnyF replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
And quite another labeling something as homophobic and then being unable to define one single thing that was homophobic. -

Almost all. Yet you can't name one. Interesting. It's almost as if you've got nothing. -

When they've got nothing they just throw out insults that they cannot back up when challenged. -

I see. You cannot pinpoint a single homophobic statement in there. You've got nothing. -

What is LGBT "paradise" anyway? Somewhere where children under 16 can have body parts removed because they think they might like to be the opposite gender? Somewhere where people are arrested/pilloried for using the pronoun for someone's biological sex because the individual they are referring to wishes to be another gender? Somewhere where men can wear a dress and then use the women's toilets/changing rooms? Or go to women's prisons? Somewhere where we have pride days every week/month so the LBGT community can flaunt their sexuality by dancing erotically while half naked in the streets? Because if that's "paradise", maybe Thailand is better off as it is? -

The whole post was spot on. The fact it highlights some issues you would rather not accept doesn't make it a rant.- 253 replies

Exactly. I am a fairly liberal person (in the classic sense of the word, not the politcially hijacked sense) but I feel no need to celebrate it. I have no issue with LBGT or whatever. Each to their own. But I have no desire to celebrate people being gay any more than celebrating they are straight, Catholic, short, thin, black, blonde, freckled or whatever. Perhaps if they stopped drawing attention to their differences they would just fit in more easily and be more readily accepted. Of course, it appears that being treated as normal is the last thing many of these people want. They want to be the centre of attention, special, to be celebrated, admired. Hence the parades where they dance around half naked flaunting their sexuality, often in front of children.- 253 replies

Oh look, another defender of Sturgeon's hate speech. Nice deflection BTW, but may I remind you that this thread is about Sturgeon's arrest for stealing SNP funds for personal gain. I don't recall Truss being arrested for such a crime, nor is she the subject of the thread. Back on topic please. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/06/11/europe/nicola-sturgeon-snp-arrested-gbr-intl/index.html

She hasn't been charged "yet". However, police are generally reluctant to arrest such public figures unless they have very strong grounds to believe that there is a case to be answered. I would expect charges in the next few weeks no matter how many times she pretends to have lost her memory. Yes, Scottish "Independence" (if you can call leaving the UK to join the EU as seeking Independence) has never looked such a distant dream. I'm surprised Humza Yousaf even supports it given the number of white politicians in the EU (which he clearly has issues with).

Whilst I dislike her policies and her lies and cover-ups, my main focus on her (and the topic of this thread BTW) is due to the recent arrest for misappropriating funds which were donated to her political cause. I find such behaviour immoral in the extreme, especially from one who loves to appear so virtuous. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/jun/11/nicola-sturgeon-arrestedquestioned-in-snp-finances-inquiry As someone who supports that cause (however misguided), I find your continued support of her somewhat irrational. It's like supporting the thief in court who picked your pockets.

Three Pit Bulls abandoned, starved, and turned cannibal in Thailand

Disgraceful cruelty. Some people shouldn't be allowed to own these magnificent dogs. All mine has to worry about is getting his favourite spot on the couch for his afternoon snooze. ???? -
Not unlike the mocking way Brexiteers are categorized. I guess you don't like it when the shoe is on the other foot. Typical left wing hypocrisy. Not unlike the way you think nationalism is fine when it is Scottish nationalism, but unacceptable from other nationalities. Plenty of examples of Sturgeon's hateful rhetoric. She just uses the word "detest" instead of "hate". https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/nicola-sturgeon-and-the-politics-of-hatred/

Yes it makes her odious. You can deflect as much as you like but the way she has tried to manipulate the Scottish people in order to fulfill her own personal ambitions for power is revolting. IMO it reflects poorly on the Scottish electorate that so many people were foolish enough to fall for her hate speech and general divisiveness. The news of her arrest was great news for many and completely humiliating for her. Her political career is in tatters. Hopefully she is charged and goes to jail. The fact that her replacement is Hamza Yousaf is more great news for the future of the Union.

Thanks for everything Boris. You stood up when the nation needed you and got Brexit done. The man for the moment. That is what you will be remembered for. Unlike Theresa the traitor. Pizza? Cake? Pathetic distractions from the spiteful left because they couldn’t defeat your political ideology. A knighthood surely awaits. Top man.

Those controlling the RFU are about as woke as it comes. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/rfu-israel-folau-pride-flag-30069044 The Premier league suspending their rules about non political statements for left wing causes like BLM also makes your doubts seem pretty blinkered to say the least. Of course once the dollar signs are flashing with Saudi owners injecting money into premier league clubs and Qatar hosting world cups they drop the morals sharpish but that type of hypocrisy is endemic in the left. At this point, the hypocrisy defines them.
