Use a board, drywall or cement board 6” or 8” wide with the edge attached to the ceiling a bit in front of the blind. So the board hangs down covering the blind. You could run it all the way along the wall or just over the blinds with caps closing the ends. Simple brackets would attach it to the ceiling.

That’s the problem. Tying one two or three times is not enough. I tried it for several years with no luck. It is absolutely imperative that you tie four or five times to achieve success.

So being with your daughter is found by others to be weird? That is their problem and yes it’s a problem.
