  1. Das boot is on the other foot as we used to say on the U boats always fin da torpedo , but without an engine oarsmen from skull and bones? I am a little out of date as I realize Thailand may jump straight ftom klonghopping and oiling Fangs to solar subs? Wheel know the deal is done when the price is right. Oi Nop we're goin' need a bigger envelope?
  2. What are the current rules and guidance please. I have looked at Airline and Airport sites but first hand advice from recent voyagers would be most helpful 1 Are Masks required in Airports? C Mai, Swampy, Heathrow 2 Are Masks required on domestic flights within Thailand, I am not concerned in present USA debate. 3 Ae masks required/recommended on direct long haul to only UK, The only airport I transit is Bangkok.? 4 Are there any recommendations for type of masks I see terms n94 n85 ffp etc and that cloth type and those with ventilation valves are not acceptable. I have been isolating in a remote area where my supply of masks is post or sent by friends. I have vax certs on my phone, do I need print outs at C Mai, Bangkok and London? 5 If any tips on what is comfortable for a spectacles wearer, in the heat my spectacles steam up within minutes , perhaps easier in aircon cabin? Finally in addition conforming to any rules and protecting others how many masks for long haul I have read 3 hours should change so 4 masks for long haul and should I dispose of on board our carry used masks to my destination, or are there dedicated bins onboard or at airports? Thanks in advance for any recent experience or tips.

  7. The knee reaction to other countries will seek a new kick-back eventually. Selling over priced insurance only sold by local "connected" operators that almost impossible to claim on is such a pre paid winner, I cannot imagine they will ever wish to ease off. Is there any other tropical paradise with such back hoes?
  8. I cannot recall any regime ever saying. Panic now, we have lost control, our gold, cash is en route to Bavaria , from where a short stash away to a Swiss bunker.Yours will evaporate by stealth , inflation, or theft. You seldom hear economic Ministers advise, Empty your bank accounts. Of course by then it's too late You will know the SHTF when the queues at the ATMs longer than lottery tickets and bar fine is buy one get one free... 13. Surely there is no absolute shortage just unwillingness to pay the market rate. Perhaps they want in reality for a subsidy or a price cap, security of income who can blame them? The stark truth worldwide is while mom and pop small holdings could sustain a family a century ago , if you your kids want a new car, laptop, phone, huge TVs a few pigs and chickens isn't enough to compete with horrid factory food mass production in CPland. In some rich countries famers have gone up market to higher price organic foods or niche expensive fruits and flowers, vegetables, tubers , fungi for export. While this may be the way forward the skills , training and investment isn't here yet, and small local market. Western nations voters in real democracies, US excepted, are mainly content to tax the middle class to pay the under employed, unemployed or the unemployable due age, handicap or low skillset. The seriously rich always avoid tax everywhere. The Thai middle class are following the US model, no free medicine, meagre security benefits and weakest to the wall versus the success of Scandinavia and Germany where social cohesion has been achieved by income distribution and free health care paid or by all. An ageing population in the villages will become an increasing problem, as the young migrate everywhere to the cities for work, excitement and "mingling". The fact the poor have a vote is a real issue in real democracies.
  14. Very good, obvious and simple solution to help tourism , but of course reduce profits . We hardly need to ask which comes first , equity, jobs for the poor or profits for the rich and their sponsors links into almost any pie with cash in, or opportunities for sharp practice, scam, exploitation of sick, vulnerable and of course all foreigners are fair game.
