I agree with some of what you said but disagree about the cost as most posts were focused about only the price. The best burger in CM is the one I grill at home using imported Aus or NZ beef.

I am sure you know what opinions are like, so stop being one.

I'm relatively new to the Nan city area and was wondering where are the best places to get a good beef burger and Mexican food (tacos - fajitas)?

Appears to be a lot of 'Cheap Charlies' living on measly savings if you can't afford a quality burger once in a while. To add, I had 169 THB dessert at Swensen's yesterday but I bet most of you prefer that 12 THB cone from DQ or KFC.

Nasty storm came through Nan late yesterday afternoon. Had some hail with it.

I used NorthWheels back in Dec and no credit card was needed. They did require 5k THB deposit which was returned when I turned the car in undamaged. Hopefully rentals are more abundant now because getting one in Dec was difficult.

I guess that leaves me to believe: - That those who viewed this post cannot read and don't reside in or around the Nan area. - Those that have been to a dentist in Nan are unsatisfied enough not to recommend the one they visit. - There are no dentists in Nan. - Folks that live in or around the Nan area never go to the dentist. I guess when I do move to Nan in the near future I won't be surprised if all have teeth similar to this:

If I recall I read years ago where a guy in BKK (I think a veterinarian) went around using a blow-dart gun and was administrating rabies vaccines to the stray dogs.

True..... Over the past 10 years I resided in CM and I always went to the facility in Lamphun to do my DL. I did this 4 times and the most recent just months ago.... No issues/questions whatsoever as I had all the required documents. NOTE: I chose to use the Lamphun location because there was hardly ever a queue. In/out in 30 minutes typically except for my very first issued license as I was required to take both the written and driving tests.

But what happens if someone from Burma or Laos happens to come by...... or say a French or German expat? And you're assuming all Thais have an education or a 7 year old has good reading comprehension.

Cool story... cool but stupid. My brother had a Chow for 7 years. No problems whatsoever until one day he reached down to get the dog's food dish to refill like he had done all those years and the Chow, for no reason, bit him on the face. He had to have 16 stitches and still wears the scar 23 years later. He loved that dog but without hesitation he had her put down.
