Their brochure says they offer flights FROM Europe, with accommodation at the Camelot Hotel, Mr Macs Hotel, Caesars Palace Hotel and various serviced apartments around Pattaya.
They also say if we cannot get you a flight within 7 days of your preferred date they will refund your deposit.
Also - You must purchase a minimum of 7 consecutive nights' accommodation in a Pattaya from our online selection. (I guess this is where they make what they loose on the airfare)
Check their T&C's

I am looking at bring a yacht into Thailand and would like to know what locations it is possible to clear customs and also the procedure.

The Red Mango decor is a nice relaxing lounge style, it looks really good, they have setup 6 rooms for accom, which are pretty much full all the time already, the new owners seem to be doing quite well and their plans for the place sound good, I would say it is well worth the visit. Beer Leo at 45 baht for a small and other drinks priced in a similar bracket make it good value too.

Saw the band last time, really good and well worth seeing again.
Look forward to the food too.

Buy a web hosting and ftp them up to a password protected directory, you can get a good amount of storage that way cheaply.
There is also software available to make a ftp connection a mapped drive or use filezilla.

The banks seem very strange here about loans, you may want to try the Government Savings bank or Kasikorn Bank as you may get different answers, each bank has different rules and they seem to be applied at each branch differently as well.
I inquired about borrowing money to purchase land, but the banks will only loan money for a house, HSBC will only loan money for a house if its in Bangkok

Does anyone know where in Chiang Mai can you get Ctek chargers and Boliden Batteries.

I am finding it hard to get staff, am I able to employ staff from Burma, if so how many can I employ and what are the rules.

So the tally is at one A380 and two 747's in 3 months for Qantas.
The previous 747 was forced to land at San Francisco Sept 2, 2010 after an uncontained engine failure.

I noticed that LARA on their website have an overnight bike trip for $99USD, has anyone done this trip, if so what were your thoughts on it. It seems good value as their 10 day tour is like 2,299USD.
Here is what they included.
Motorcycle rental (Honda Baja 250cc) and Petrol
- Take away homemade baguette sandwiches for temple picnic lunch
- Visit 3 hidden temples
- 1 night Bungalow Nam Lik Eco Lodge
- Dinner at Nam Lik Lodge
- Breakfast at lodge
- Boat transfer upriver and Kayak
- Lunch at Nam Lik Lodge before heading back VTE
-
Imagine being onboard when this happens to an engine.
So lucky no one was hurt, its still well known a single engine failure can bring down a 747, luckily this didnt happen with the A380

Turn the clock back two months, http://aircrewbuzz.c...ned-engine.html
Qantas Boeing with a RR suffered an uncontained engine failure, RR have some explaining to do, especially after I saw they had a uncontained engine failure during testing of the RR powerplants on the new 787.
A couple of pics from the A380 incident.

I wouldn't worry about tourism, its well made up for by the offset in the price off all the goodies in the ground, uranium etc, how many reactors are there in the US now?
-
Such a new aircraft to have a uncontained failure, not so good, especially after RR had an uncontained failure with testing their 787 powerplant.
Seems Qantas are becoming regulars with this type of failure http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2010/08/31/BA021F67JO.DTL&tsp=1

Just got an interesting sms from AIS
Thank you for using 3G (900MHz) at Chiang Mai Full-speed performance for 14-21Mpbs. Application packs 3G (900MHz) at AISShop in the area.
I wonder what a Mpbs is

Does anyone have a number for a bulk water delivery out the San Sai area? There has been some construction that has broken the mains and now the tank is empty.
-
Tot has been very good customer service for me, its just the line is too long and having it set at any decent speed the SNR margin sux.
Their tech comes within a few hours of being called when there are problems and is very knowledgeable compared to 3BB's

I haven't had any, I usually get emails from the M (Montri hotel) but even those have stopped now.

The car manufacturers would like everyone to think their smoke screen that front wheel drives were more efficient was their reason for the change, but that is not the real reason, they used it to cover the real reasons such as decreased production costs and decreased assembly costs, but these result in decreases in drivetrain lifetime with the introduction of CV joints.
I would never own a front wheel drive, lets see them try to introduce front wheel drive motorcycles and how that goes down.

After visiting my local branch today to get a new ATM card, I was informed I would have to travel to Bangkok (from Chiang Mai) where I opened the account, this answer displeased me very much, thinking of the banks back home where a new ATM card could be couriered to any branch I choose I thought what a Dinosaur this bank is, how can they not even have a interbank satchel to accommodate such things.
With her negative answer I said well just close the account and I will change to another bank, when she started filling out the form to close the account I questioned why can you close an account that is not under the control of your branch but you can't issue a new ATM card? Of course she just smiled, I just shook my head. TIT
I am happy with the service I get at K Bank and how they are so willing to assist, I can't say that much for Thailand's biggest Dinosaur Bangkok Bank.
