  1. Good morning,

today I show the smaller Quick Mill espresso coffee machine.

The 0810 it's suitable only for coffee pods use, by the way the sister 0820 it's made to use coffee ground.

Both models has a steam wand to froth milk or brew hot water.

Sorry for the video quality, I hope the result in cup will catch your attention as well.

This looks like just what I am looking for

  2. Get to another hospital for a 2nd opinion ASAP. Sripat at CMU would be an excellent choice. Not as fancy as RAM but there are many good docs there. Ask/demand to see a senior Professor of Neurology for a 2nd opinion.

    Best of luck.

I went to Sripat to see a hand specialist, he treated my like what are you doing here? you can afford to use the private hospitals (also had to wait sooo long), went to RAM the hand surgeon there was excellent and sorted everything and the price was very good, previous hospital in Bangkok made a mess of it and charged so much more, re break, microsurgery on ligaments and tendons, 4 days on stacks of morphine was only 65,000 baht.

  3. I complained to AIS i could not get 3G service where i needed it, where i could get DSL, 3G worked of course, but in Ekamai near Klong San Saeb nothing and Edge was lousy for data too, so emailed them and got this reply and was very surprised they are going to fix it.

    Sawasdee,

AIS would inform you the result of the 3G signal investigation, our team found that 3G Signal in the area is weak. Therefore we have the plan to set up more 3G amplifier signal station which will be took place completely around next 3 months.

Finally, we are sorry for any inconvenience that has caused you.

Any further information is welcome; please feel free to contact AIS Call Centre 1175 or 022719000 24 hours a day.

    With our Best Regards,

    AIS

  4. That was my point in my 1st reply, should have been more speciefic... I thought and still think he's a rec diver (and perhaps a newb if he's asking this) and unless here in Thailand are cave systems similar to those in Mexico there is no need for dual tanks for any other rec diving activity.

I wanted to get use to them here as I am planning a Holiday to Truk Lagoon to do some diving there on the wrecks and want to do some dives that will be past rec bottom times so will need to get into deco certifications as well, preferably TDI stream, I will check out Adventure divers and let you know how i go.

  5. About 100,000 bht cheaper apparently

I don't think that is the on the road price. You would still have to pay for emission testing, green book, and plate.

Then comes the issue of parts as well, maybe for this model they are importing it might be ok, but I was looking at a Honda that was Very cheap and the only thing against it was not dealer parts supply in Thailand, everything had to come from OS.

In Australia the govt legislated that any model vehicle that is imported/manufactured by the maker a grey import would not be allowed in the country, to protect the makers investment, dealers/makers here may simply refuse to supply parts for grey imports where they can.

  6. I dry cure bacon from my own pigs (Durocs) using no chemicals to effect the texture or colour. The dry cure process involves coating the meat and storing in the refrigerator at 4C in a plastic bag for the curing period. The bags and turned each day. My cure uses molasses, fresh ground black pepper, brown sugar and sea salt. No nitrates or nitrates.

The salt and sugar are all that is needed for curing, saltpetre is added to stabilise the colour while cooking.

I thought saltpetre is Potassium nitrate?

  7. Are you holding the club on the 24th of Jan, still same times if so?

I would like to find a copy of Scarecrow and the Army of Thieves by Matthew Reilly

  8. 1. Why? I've seen the system in use, it is very easy to set up.

    2. As I understand it the idea is something to do with the pressure falling when the compressor goes off, then when it starts again it has to start building up the pressure first before the cooling process can start. The valves somehow keeps that pressure high so reduce the loss by the lost pressure. But I could be wrong on that.

It changes the whole gas flow principle of the system, mainly in the off cycle, the main points are:

    • In the off cycle it balances compressor output pressure to around 60psi to provide a real soft start.
    • It prevents the gas from turning to liquid before the compressor in off cycle, in a normal unit the liquid build up takes 45 seconds to convert back to gas before cooling occurs when the compressor comes back on.
    • It stops the hot gas from the compressor from entering the indoor unit in the off cycle providing a smaller variance in humidity and keeps the indoor unit cool longer.

  9. And I hope they have absolutely no desire to get on TV at any opportunity, and will concentrate on the job at hand :-)

People in Honorary positions still need to work to afford to be able to assist in this voluntary manner and provide a service which some seem to take for granted.

As I understand it this new set-up is on the basis of a paid position not a volunteer position.

The post I responded to was about the dig taken at the previous Consul which was a voluntary position.

  11. The aluminium extrusion that is needed to support the weight of double glazing is expensive, Sun Paradise Windows are usually 25-30% more than most uPVC, aluminium is also a great conductor of heat and the frames do pass the heat through. A lot of the uPVC has single point locking systems similar to the cheap Aluminium windows, their hardware is also low quality and things like rollers on sliding units break down very quickly.

  12. A friend who has an iphone on AIS told me the WIFI access point facility has now been locked down and no longer free to use without paying a special monthly fee to AIS, there was also talk of Apple clamping down on grey imports by locking them out of the networks they shouldn't be on, that would mean a lot of unusable phones tho.

  13. A word of warning on the HTC's longer term, I have a HTC and its battery died, my wifes friend has a shop at tuk com and replaced it, the normal price is 1200 baht for the battery, they said HTC are one of the most expensive for parts and batteries, the usb socket also needs replacing and only HTC can do it, none of the repair places have the part, HTC want 2000 baht plus for the socket which other phones is a 100 baht replacement part.
