  1. Landlord said no.
  2. Yeah that's a good idea, I will see what I can find plastic wise. Thanks.
  3. Moving is not an option.
  4. There is definitely ground noise going on as well. Can't believe nobody here sells self install secondary double glazing, there must be a market for it for windows at least.
  5. Traffic noise, sorry I should have put that in my original post.
  6. Yeah, tried that before, did nothing.
  7. I need to sound proof a couple of sliding doors in a shop house: There are two of these measuring 180cm wide and 210cm high, plus a window of the same design that measures 150cm wide by 110cm high. I am not allowed by the landlord to change them, I need to find a solution that does not alter their appearance from the outside. There is a balcony outside that I can grow some big plants on which will probably help a bit, but really is very noisy so looking to do as much as possible. Anybody had any joy with doing something like this before? Many thanks in advance.
  8. I got caught out earlier in the year and purchased a mint condition 2003 Honda Accord V6 3.0l with just 89,000k on the clock. Little did I know that the transmissions on these cars had a problem and most need replacing at some point - mine has just failed on me. As the car is in otherwise great condition and low mileage, I will fix try to fix it rather than scrap it. So, I need to find either a 2006 replacement transmission or a transmission specialist somewhere in Thailand that has a good rep and will give me a reasonable length warranty on their work. Any and all suggestions for where to find either the replacement engine or the suitable mechanic would be very welcome. I am in Pattaya and know a guy that can do the swap out, but no way would I trust him to do the rebuild. I can send the car on truck anywhere else in Thailand, for the right person to fix it. Many thanks in advance.
  9. This worked for me: https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i3438459204-s12718268694.html I used it on a Honda Accord 2003 with leaking power steering. I bought a 100ml syringe off Lazada and it came with a catheter attachment, sucked out 355ml of the existing power steering fluid and put this stop leak in. Took the car to a cleaning place with an inspection pit and got them them to clean the underside of the engine. Since then no leaks.
  10. I can't speak for the person you are trying to insult but I think it would be fair to say that if you call somebody a pot head in 2023 a fair response would be that you are a retard. ????
  11. This "Clown" is one of the smartest people in Thai politics. He has numerous business interests that are covered briefly here: https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/politics/451056 He managed to legalise weed in a country that used to lock people up for smoking joint, which hurt nobody. He bought a classic car off an English friend of mine here in Thailand and was polite, friendly and engaging at all times (when in reality he could have just taken through other means it if he wanted). He is now the Interior minister of Thailand, the second most powerful in the government. What exactly have you achieved recently, that makes you so tired of seeing Anutin's face?
  12. I have a company that is only there for a domain name registration, it's not active in any way. I completely forgot to do the end of year balance sheet for 2022 and when I asked my bookkeeper to go ahead and submit it, she has said there is a 16k fine for late submission, which sounded a bit steep... After Googling it, it looks like i need a letter from the police and the 16k is the max fine that can be issued: https://www.companythailand.net/penalty-rate-for-delayed-submission-of-financial-statement/ Has anybody done this with a dormant company - did you have to pay the full 16k? Many thanks in advance.
  13. OK, so this is not for me but for my girlfriends sister. She has a 1 year kid with a guy from Australia and has fallen out with him. They are not married, he is on the birth certificate as the father (I have been through court myself to get registered as the father of my son and have a good knowledge of the requirements etc, but I have not come across the Por Kor 14 before). He is not sending money to her to help pay for the kids expenses, he is saying that he will only do so when she helps him get registered as the father. Technically she could make that happen but standard procedure would be for him to instigate the process through a lawyer, and they would want to see at least 6 months payments into her account to show he is doing his bit financially. She is understandably getting a bit annoyed and is talking about trying to get the Por Kor 14 so she can kinda block him and move on, but I'm not sure it would be that simple. So the question is can the Por Kor 14 be used like this? As he is on the birth certificate and has a paid a few small payments already although none for 6 months now, would the local Amphur issue a Por Kor 14? If they did, would it stop him from being able to apply to the court in the future (after having made some regular payments etc) to be registered as the father? Thanks in advance.
  14. It's a very small job so def do not want it done on insurance. And I need it done quickly.
  15. Cash is King, it's to tidy it up a bit before I sell it.
  16. Any recommendations for a car body that can do quick repairs on small areas of paintwork, like stone chips, scratches etc? No time to do it myself and resent leaving my car in a garage for days for a couple of hours work...! Thanks in advance.
  17. Hi, I need some roller shutters servicing - are there any good companies for this in Pattaya? Thanks in advance.
  18. No scalpel method is the recognised term.
  19. Thanks for this. I have emailed them twice already but they don't reply, I will go there and ask. Was it no scalpel method or did they slice you open?
  20. They are 25k but not sure they can offer no scalpel or not, trying to find out before making an appointment as don't want to waste my time if they don't. There appears to be quite a bit of profit in doing vasectomies for hospitals!
  21. Email bounced.
  22. When was that - they just quoted me 15k plus doctors fees and hospital service charges?
  23. That was really helpful, thanks.
  24. Yes, I have. Did you or somebody you know have a vasectomy there? If so how did it go and what was the price?
