    rough yes .... but you have to understand Thai's and how they think, and to be honest ... this could have ended much worse if in the west.

    unfortunately, in this day and age you cannot just buddy up with an 11yr old and buy a guitar and whatever, it doesn't work the way you insinuate that it's a gift to help a poorer kid, and your naive to think otherwise, there are other more transparent ways to help which don't bring any suspicion. There are too many conspicuous farang out there.

    bob, I couldn't last another minute without a cold bottle ... I went and got 3 and i'm just about to get another ... I couldn't wait ... I need it to get through the Thai factor every day ... they just do my head in !

    I haven't had a beer for 2 days now which is rare for me. I hit it pretty hard over the last couple of weeks so I am on the go slow train now .... my body will give up if I don't slow down. I do feel like one now .. but i'm not gunna ... haha

    oh dear ' the timber must have been rotten and therefore brittle from the rain and exposure. leaning on the railing with elbows out and maybe having a smoke, it may be possible the nails and wood gives way and collapses at the joins. I hope they repair the balcony properly next time. The poor guy is Finnish

    Doesn't really matter how or why it was smashed. As others have mentioned, it may be a loss of face thing from guys in the family. The point is, never get too buddy with Thai's and certainly never buy them a gift. TIT ... your story speaks volumes about how they act ....

    why ? there are thousands of soi dogs roaming, they do have diseases, they do lay in 7-11 doorways, they do bite kids and old folk. now go away.
