Those 3 pictures with the reds in action really are scary.

    Thanks first I have sen

Hard to tell what is going on though.

    Retaliation...attack....defense??

They come from a Michigan blog site??

Get real, they are trying to kick the shit out of the police/army, and one guy, probably a civil servant at the ministery. What do you mean, hard to tell?

    BREAKING NEWS !!!...

TANKS have now been deployed to strategic round abouts...... not looking good for Thailand !!

  2. TOT is the slowest on Phuket. I pay 1000b for Cyber GOLD and I get TIN delivered. Unfortunately I got a telephone line fromTOT. My complaint to

    Khun Phonlasate Krichtiyawuth

    Telelcommunications Consumer

    Protection Institute

    87 Pahonyothin Soi 8

    Kweng Samsennai

    Khet Phyathai

    Bangkok 10400

    was not a resounding success.

TOT came back, having checked my line, again. Domestic ok, 1700kbs. I knew that.

International is the bottle neck, worst for TOT. Legally they promise a certain kbs but say nothing about domestic or international.

    See Phuket Gazette reporting

    http://www.live-access.com/PhuketInternet.aspx

Tried to get TT&T which is much better , was told no lines available

Question= how to change a phone line or is it property of TOT?.

    Any other solutions?

    I agree with H2oDunc ....

You get what you pay for ... and there all similar .. It's thailand... :o

  3. I believe that two reasons exist way a Thai may not be able to leave the country. 1) Called for, or currently serving in the military. 2) Having served a sentence in prison.

Aside from that, Brits can indeed "marry" their partners at the British Embassy in Hanoi (as I did last year), or at the British Consulate in Ho Chi Minh. Quite a few couples based in Thailand have made the trip. As correctly mentioned, it can't be done at the Bangkok embassy.

Hi pauln , your two reasons are speculation only.

My thai BF cannot travel mainly because of his work situation, he cannot get a week or two off as would be needed. He may be able to get 3-4 days maximum. Also, I am Australian & not British ... as I understand it...Brits can go to Vietnam & marry. correct ??

  4. Hi all,

I am perplexed as to the easiest & most convenient way to marry a thai BF.

I realise it is not possible in Thailand , and another problem is the thai BF cannot travel to another country.

Is there any other way to marry other than travel outside thailand ??

Can you submit doc's by mail or email to another country ??

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Cheers. :o

  5. Hi all ,

I want to visit thailand again next week for 4 days then go to Australia for ten days and back to thailand for another 5 days.

Is there any restrictions on the number of 3O day stamp ( Visa Waived ) received at the airport you can get in one year . ?

Will any of the dates mentioned below have any affect ???

6 nov - border run expiry date.

5 nov - received TR visa

    8 dec - exit thailand

    Thanks for any help.

    cheers. :o

  6. Hi all ,

Just a quick one. My 90 day border run stamp expired 06 Nov. Then I obtained a TR in KL .

I left thailand on 08 Dec to go to work.

    ________________________________________________________________________________

    _____________________

Can I return to thailand next week and receive a 30 day stamp ( Visa Waiver ) at the airport to enter , stay 4 days then go to Australia for a week and come back to thailand and receive another 30 day stamp to stay.

Are you allowed any number of 30 day stamps ( Visa Waiver ) throughout the year. .... this is not affected by the 90day rule ???

    Thanks for any help.

    Cheers.

  7. Hi all ,

I will apply for a 2 entry TV while in Brisbane in January.

    I have air-ticket BKK-BNE-BKK.

    Even though I will have a 2X TV .....

Will I need to buy another ticket BKK-BNE to show at the airport in Brisbane, or can I buy a cheap train ticket to Malaysia just to show a leaving date ? ( or do i not need to show one ? )

also, is 5 pages enough for my visa .. ?

    thanks for any help.

    cheers. :o

  8. Hi all, just need a little advice here on my visa question.

This week ( Nov 5th ) I will go to KL and apply for a Thai Tourist Visa 2 months. Border runs finished last month for me.

Then December 23rd, I will go to Australia for 2 weeks before coming back to Thailand - (arrive bangkok 8th January.)

My question is , will I need to apply for another Tourist Visa when in Australia as the previous 2 month one from KL will expire approximately January 5th ( 2 months from Nov 5 )

or can I get the one months extension added to the 2 months while in Aussie somehow ? and do I need to make sure the Tourist Visa issued in KL is a double entry or this doesn't matter as a single will only be issued ??

    What's my best option ?

    Thank's for anyone's help.

    cheers. :o

I agree with Lite Beer you may not get a 2 entry tourist visa in KL. If you end up with a single you can get a 2 entry or even a 3 entry in Australia.

If you get a 2 entry in KL here is another option.

Before leaving in December go to immigration and get a 30 day etension of your 60 day entry (1900 baht). Then get a re-entry permit while at immigration (1000 baht). That would allow you to make your trip without loosing your first entry.

    Thank's ubonjoe & litebeer.

So supposing I only get a single entry from KL , then I need to get another Tourist Visa in Aussie to come back.

The 30 day extenstion is not really any help unless I received a double entry in KL ?? correct ??

    thanks.

  10. Hi all ,

Can someone please clarify something for me. ( i may not be correct on my assumption here )

I will be leaving Thailand this week for three months. After 3 months I will return for a two week holiday.

I have received two ( 30 day visa exempt border stamps ) so I pressume I have one border run left available based on the 90 days allowed in 6 months rule.

When I return in three months, will I be able to enter Thailand at the airport with an airport 30 day visa exempt stamp or will I have to apply for another TV from abroad before coming ?

    dates approx only :

    Dec 7 , ( 30 day visa exempt border stamp )

    Jan 5 , ( 30 day visa exempt border stamp )

    Feb 4 , ( TV 60 day )

    Mar --- ( incl TV )

    Apr 5 , ( 30 day extension )

    RETURN - August 1st .

Thank's for any feedback on this one.

    Cheers!

  13. What is going on here...all i see is whining poms...well i guess the restaurant owners are sorry you cannot have roast beaf & yorkshire pudding for Baht99 . It just cannot happen. As far as the pizza slices... come on .. where did you all grow up..uyou wanta good slice of pizza then buy it from a restaurant that specialises in pizzas. You cheap charlies make me laugh !! :o

  14. Completely wrong.

Visas are usually issued to everybody as long as

you have the basic requirements. No onwards ticket

or anything like that is needed.

It take TWO working days to complete.

Application hours is 8.30-11.00 and you pick it up two days

    after at 15.00-16.30.

I don't understand the meaning of this forum as long as people

who don't really know what the are talking about are answering

    questions here!!!!!

Misterfact , are you saying it takes Two Days or Three Days to process ??

Do you drop the application off in the morning and collect your passport the next day in the afternoon ????

    thanks.

  15. You can most likely obtain in Penang OK. They had a week or so of being really uptight but believe that has ended and the worst now would be a "do not come again" type stamp.

Have not seen recent reports on Rangoon but from earlier accounts they did not want to issue any visa if you were not a resident.

Thanks Lopburi3, your help is always appreciated. Think i'll do the train to Penang then.

    rgs.

  16. hi all ,

I have two 60 day tourist visas from KL in my passport already & next week I would like to go and get one more at either Penang (by train) or bus to Yangoon.

Is there any concern or problem to get another TV at in Penang ? or would I be best to go to Yangoon ?(never been there)

I do have one more 30day stamp up my sleeve but i just want the TV in case 30days is not enough. I am leaving for a job soon back home.

    Thanks for any advise .

    cheers
