  1. Just had my blood test carried out Creatine level down from 1.24 to 1.11 and the BUN down from 15 to 14

I am surprised that the Creatine level came down by so much of a short time although i have been careful what I am eating and i have lost 11kg in weight in that time

Yup, other than the interior it doesn’t resemble a Jazz at all , hence this thread and the above photos which refer to “ The New Jazz City Hatchback “.

Caught the back end of a tv advertisement last night and it appeared to be called the City Hatchback.

The showroom was calling it the City Hatchback but did not have one to show me

I've been having an issue  viewing my K Cyber page with Kasikorn Bank the past 3 days.

I called the bank to seek help and was told they're  aware of an issue with Firefox.

Anyone else so impacted?     The more that call the bank, hopefully the faster the matter will be resolved.

The page appears like this..       Code or language?

Non whatsoever, just bear in mind that you need a Thai added to the Blue book first as Housemaster...I had to do the same, get some random Thai that was willing to help me...I also required documents showing where they were resident befor. They won't get in a government school if they ain't registered locally.

    Just seen OP has PR...

My son was in a housebook in Prachinburi but went to school in Bangkok he now goes to school in Hua Hin

Not sure where you go but many times all these little things are added to the bill, I refused one time (I have white coat bp issues so no point in checking at a clinic) and the staff were shocked and didn´t know what to do, whispering amongst each other and looking at me like I was crazy. In the end it was on the bill anyway.

I have white coat as well I not let them take my blood pressure either but take myself at home in the morning and take a picture and show them they normally accept this reading

Can't be, creatnine is usually 1. something - might you mean 1.24? In which case within normal range for a man. (though nearing the upper limit of normal)

If your creatnine and BUN were normal no need to worry about the GFR. In people over 70, GFR below 60 can be normal. GFR is just a calculated number, not a separate test, and often the Thai labs don't adjust for age when they run it.

    https://academic.oup.com/ndt/article/27/7/2664/1850733

Assuming your creatnine was 1.24, and all other tests normal, the only thing I would advise is rechecking creatnine in a year's time. And maybe avoid or minimize use of paracetemol and NSAIDs. (Doesn't mean you can never take para, but keep use infrequent and doses low)

In terms of protecting one's kidneys the basics are:

    keeping BP well controlled

avoiding diabetes or, if diabetic, keeping blood sugar well controlled

minimizing use of nephrotoxic drugs like paracetemol, NSAIDs

Thank you for your advice it stopped me worrying, yes Creatine was 1.24. I think I will just cut out the salt and check again in 3 months time

Not correct, for either PC or any other insurer. They will cover only up to the maximum stated in your policy. Anything over that, is yours to pay.

Which is why it is important to be sure to have an adequate level of cover.

Your friend may be describing instead how a policy with a deductible (excess) and copay operates. I don;t think PC domestic policies have any copay options but possible some of their internationally issued  plans do. Their domestic plans do have deductible options. With a deductible you pay up to that amount and then they pay anything in excess of it.

I have PC and have co pay on 1 segment of my cover ( my cloistral was high) but not on the total cover

Forget all the negative comments, your desire to help and support your daughter is very admirable.

Yes land can be recorded in the name of an 8 yr old.

Yes you can record a lease on the property to ensure you have a roof over your head until you pass on, if you wish to go this route.

At 20 your daughter can make her own decisions but any lease (above) might make that complex but at this time you could remove the lease if you wish to.

As shown the Thai law on this subject strongly protects the interests of the child, there has to be a very unusual critical proven need for funds to get a court order to sell the land/property, close to impossible.  I recall before someone asked a lawyer if courts, in this circumstance, generally make an order allowing an older relative to sell the property. The lawyer supposedly answered that he had never heard of such an order being granted.

Yes when she's of legal age other relatives might put pressure on her, let her take care of this.

    Good luck.

But you must have the lease in your name before you put it in your daughters name that is the big problem

    1. yes you can, no there isn't.

    2. It can't be sold without a court order, which the courts never give.

    3. yes she can

    4. Get yourself named as property manager on the chanote (by agreement of both parents, and can't be changed except by death)

But as you appear short of money, better to rent.

Court does give the ok to sell the land as long as it is for the child's benefit

You should be able to apply for the extension with 2 or 3 months of transfers equal to or greater than 65k baht into a Thai bank.

But it depends upon the office where you apply. Some may want 12 months of transfers due you having a one year entry from a OA visa. They may consider it equal to having an extension and the 2 or 3 months is for the first extension application only.

Is the combination method available for getting an extension on an OA visa law, or is it down to the office you apply to, if law it would only need 150000 Baht plus the 10x 65000 baht monthly transfers to make the 800000 baht requirement

You can apply for a one year extension of stay based upon retirement to extend your entry from a OA visa.

As you said you will need insurance from one of the companies shown here. https://longstay.tgia.org/home/companiesoa

You need to have 800k baht in a Thai bank in your name only for 2 months on the day you apply or proof of 65k baht income or a combination of the 2 totaling 800k baht,

What if you not have 800000 in the bank but can show foreign income for 10 months of over 76000 baht
