  1. By what I've been reading, common sense has returned to replace corruption, well done, reviewing irrigation/water drainage projects, forget high speed railway & fix, update existing patronised service, illegal immigrants fleeing like lemmings, now If we can work on them indian tailors, I have booked next trip to LOS, & many friends are booking return trips.

    well done general.wai2.gif

  2. MY house outside of sankhaemphang is brick/ cement render/ tiles, steel roof frame, I got 2 industrial size whirlybirds on the roof, my idea is to install ceiling vents in living /kitchen room ceiling, thus sucking hot air from living areas, as my house in australia is set up, vents are available @ home-pro.

  3. I would have challenged the bloke, told to switch off as per crew instructions as he could possibly be endangering the aircraft & passengers.I flew A.Asia hanoi- bangkok earlier this year, there was a young bloke untidily dressed (fellow passenger) who was bare footed, I give him an amazed look, & pointed to his feet, and said where's you shoes mate, so as the A.A. staff overheard, but they allowed him to board,I would have told him to walk, am I a cranky old bastard, I don't think so , just brought up with more respectfull manors to fellow man.

  7. Just returned from vietnam (6 weeks) In Hanoi I always stay @ tirant hotel in old quarter,$60 a nite ,but good rooms, good breakfast, wi-fi free, can leave luggage if you want to go 2-3 day trip, close to hoan kiem (not sure spelling) lake, 30 minute daily walk around lake, to meet the locals, friendly, helpfull staff, & you can safely book tours anywhere from travel desk, this joint has it covered when considering language barriers, shonky operaters, plus it's walking distance to BIA-HOI-HANOI beer bars.

As for hoi-an, this year I stayed @ pho-hoi resort, just over the bridge, $40 AUS per nite, good breakfast, pool, Wi-Fi, short walk to centre/ market area, good motorbike hire directly across the road. Also most rooms have riverviews, good location.

    Hope info was helpfull, cheers.songhklasid.thumbsup.gif

  9. I've had the same AIS (1-2 call) phone # for 10 years or more, I return to thailand every 6 months or so, just put credit on your phone, preferably @ a online store in 200-500 baht amounts before you depart thailand, ( my seperate thai phone with simcard remains off whilst in AUS ) I hope this answers your question.
