  1. maybe I was a bit quick to blame true

    412444351.png

300 millisecond ping is atrocious though and I am supposed to be on 1024/512

there is some discussion online elsewhere about a misconfigured router in CZ causing routing problems with cisco IOS machines that have not been updated - but that issue is only talking about the last 12-24 hours.

  2. True seems to be playing with their packet shaping/Qos ( I am using the term loosely :o )

I have noticed the last 2-3 days that if I run a torrent client I get choked down to nearly nothing even if the client is throttled for minimal down/up.

when I stop the client all together my speed comes back

    - though the speed itself has not been very good for the last 2-3 days anyway.

  3. all this "made money , lost money" is absolute cr4p

bankers and governments encouraged a housing and land price bubble which allowed them to lend more and more created money to greed driven speculators who completed the circle and spent their alleged gains on ipods from china.

nobody created anything except for poor workers in sweatshops in china.

when commodity prices rose to a level the sh1t hit the fan.

many of the people now complaining about their "losses" were all complicit in the scheme.

  4. Thai Banks don't have - not our problem - etc etc

The central bank's Financial Institutions Development Fund incurred liabilities of 1.4 trillion baht during the crisis for its bailout of creditors and depositors of ailing banks and finance companies.
Carrying costs for the liabilities are as high as 60 to 70 billion baht per year for the government, an expense item that Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij has stated he wants to bring down to help free up funds for other programmes.

This is not the first time that policymakers have tried to address the FIDF burden. M.R. Pridiyathorn Devakula, a former central bank governor and finance minister, in 2007 proposed amending the Currency Act to allow the central bank to shift funds more readily across its various accounts to help pay down the FIDF liabilities.

The liabilities have been split into three lots, with 500 billion baht in the first lot to be paid down from annual profits generated by the central bank. Two other lots, of 112 billion and 776 billion, would be paid through returns from the central bank's general accounts.

From 1997 to 2007, however, the central bank has paid down just 31.6 billion baht for the first lot of 500 billion baht in debt.

Thai Soldiers Raid Human Rights Group Office In Pattani

    By D. Arul Rajoo

BANGKOK, Feb 8 (Bernama) -- Thai security forces raided the office of the Working Group on Justice for Peace (WGJP) in Pattani early morning on Sunday amid warnings from the powerful Internal Security Operations Command (Isoc) that southern Thai separatists may disguise themselves as human rights defenders.

WGJP chairman Angkhana Neelaphaijit said soldiers stormed the office at about 5am but did not arrest any of the volunteers who were asleep.

"When I asked the officer in charge of the raid (over the phone) if he had a search warrant, he said there was no need for one as it was conducted under the martial law.

"I contacted the Fourth Army Chief to show our displeasure and concern over the raid," she said when contacted.

Angkhana, wife of missing lawyer and human right defender Somchai Neelaphaijit, said the soldiers left three hours later after searching the premises, which serves as the base for WGJP to carry out fact-finding missions on the situation in the restive south.

  7. Thus, the Puea Thai Party Spokesman suggested the police not to become a political tool while warning them that the case would bring much controversy to the nation.

why has this boy not been slapped down convincingly by the justice department ? his statement is attempting to pervert the course of justice.
