  1. I'm going to have to let your "paranoia" as you call it be your own. Really - I thought you had been around a while?

For myself, I have my Charles Schwab acct - no fees anywhere - and I sleep like a baby.

This info, and any of the others that are similar, has been posted on this forum for years. Why do people make this so hard?

    Good luck.

Making it hard is what being an expat is all about....no pain, no gain....lol ?

I use ING 360 for the most part, but if I'm feeling stupid, I'll take a punt with Bank of America...the worst bank in the world......IMHO....??

  2. I met what I thought was a decent Thai girl. Her family were presses us to marry. She had a kid with her ex Thai bf. They had only lived together ..... I just kept saying no. The girl was very pretty. Turns ouf it was all about money. She told me one day she would leave unless I would marry her. I drove her to the van twenty min later.

I can still see the look on her face. I bought a new sim on. the way home.

That should clear up the situation as wel know it in LOS?..?

  3. I have it figured out....I just tell someone on the baht bus where I don't want to go and BINGO...the bus takes me right to the spot I want.....it's a mind game all the time....sometimes they will do a U turn for no reason....part of the overall Pattaya mind <deleted>....??

  4. Could it be that Chinese tourist groups have seen very little else?

Wrong, they see plenty of attractions in Pattaya and surroundings.

7/11, Tesco. FlyNow outlet mall, Latex factory just to name the majority of them.

Holy shot, don't forget the Hilton mid buffet....they swarm the place and make it a job just to get some grub....??

  5. Yes, its been very hot here in Pattaya and no rain for weeks. So didnt expect that .

Anyway it's time for me to leave soon for my Scandinavian vacation and the summer just starting up there, looking for ward to experience a fresh breeze and 22 degrees celsius. And no pollution compared with Thailand, no littering in the streets .

But it comes with a price, and I'm on a budget so only 3 weeks and I'll be back thumbsup.gif

Got a little rain this morning in Pattaya....lovely....?

  6. The last time the property prices collapsed all Thai's did was sit on the property until the price they wanted was achieved.

This time many have bank loan's for property and truck/car. Also many new house and condo projects to compete against in obtained a price

    Thailand is in new territory.

Land prices in some areas seem to have topped out.

So maybe Thailand is going to have a large correction.

Land prices never go down, because the people who own the land have no need to sell, since it is free of loans and doesn't make any difference to them if it's sold or not.

The only thing which may see a correction are the condos that are under construction, as their loan payments continue, and there are less buyers.

I posted in another thread recently also, that I was informed last week by someone in a position to know, that currently several well know condo developers in Pattaya are in deer problems.

He named a few of them, but I will not post them here.

Believe it when I see it.....load of rubbish...IMHO.....?

Name and shame and we will go from there...?

  7. I've spent a far amount of time in the Da Nang Hoi An and Ha Noi areas the last few years,,,,the VN people are so much friendler than the folks in LOS....I did not think it was any cheaper to live in VN vs LOS...about the same, same for food, living, travel expenses, etc. I like the feel of Ha Noi, even with the 10 million motor bikes whizzing by at all hours. Hoi An was a bit too quiet for me, but great for my early morning walks....no need to worry about getting run over by mad and crazy drunk folks....IMHO.

  8. Yup, driving the wrong way on the one way is the norm for the motor bike mafia....they could care less about humans.....IMHO.

I've been hit three times in my ten plus years here in Pattaya and count myself lucky to still be alive....it's only a matter of time before I get hit for six....?. Just hope I'm not too badly hurt so I can whip the shit out of whomever does the deed on me....revenge is best served cold in most cases....time will tell.....rock on!! ??

  9. northridge earth quake 6.7 was enough for me to leave Ca.

    4:30 A.M. what a wake up call.

i see the "local drunk" was there also.

safest place to go is a door way if the building does not fall down. stay away from windows.

it is sad for Nepal, there will not be much left at this rate.

I think I might be sleeping in the doorway of a tent...lol..?
