  1. On a similar note and not worth starting a new thread.

BBC News channel on cable in Kamala for the last few weeks has had the volume so low that I have to turn the TV volume to full and the sound quality is terrible.  Also, I keep forgetting to turn the volume down before changing the channel.  That'll wake you up.

That just leaves Al Jezera unless the Saudis and their GCC allies get their way.

If you are talking about retirement extension then I have only ever required 1 copy of everything

including forms but be prepared to visit the copy room because you will, like me, probably have

forgotten something.   Or you might get the IO who's wife/daughter runs the copy shop,

    wink, wink.

I think I got that guy when I did my extension a few months ago.  Even though I was standing there with copies of every page in my passport he proceeded to fold down about six pages of my passport and insisted I go make copies of those pages.

  3. I drove on Patong beach road yesterday and I was thinking traffic was moving good.  Then I realized that there was nobody parking on the right hand side of the road.  Soon after I noticed some tuk-tuks , maybe about 20 parked on the right but it was a marked, painted and signed rank.

Is it too much to hope for?

Most places taxis drive around looking for fares.  The buggers are lazy thieves here with the prices they charge.

All your information is in their computer. They just scan the bar code from your last 90 day report and their computer print's out a new TM 47, all filled out. You just need to sign it like any TM 47.

Thanks Jimi.  My comment was a reply to Merjin's statement that nothing needed to be signed (if I understood him correctly).

There is no need for any other questions or signing etc.

I did my 90 Day report in Phuket Town today. I was asked to sign the paper that was printed for my next report.  The bottom was detached and put in my passport.  The officer kept the top portion that had my signature.

It was my first time reporting at the main office.  I use the Patong office if I can.  I don't remember having to sign anything when I have done the report in Patong.  But, in Patong they want passport copies of the main page, current extension, TM 7 and recent entry stamp and those have to be signed.  The main office does not seem to require those passport copies.

  6. Patong is still closed.  I was there at 10 AM today.  The office was partially or possibly fully gutted and there was construction.  I went to Phuket Town to do my 90 day.  I asked about Patong but I did not learn anything.  I'm guessing they won't be open tomorrow or Friday this week though.

  7. I went to Patong today to do the 90 day.  I got there at 11 AM and immigration was closed.  No one was there and the doors were locked.  There were some signs saying something like 'the system not working go to Phuket', which I didn't have time to do.  I don't know if they were open yesterday or if they will be open tomorrow.  My report date is 08 Aug.  I'm going to wait and see if they open next week before I go to the main office.

If anybody has info or sees they are open again...let us know please.

  8. Maybe The U.S. got smart...?

They can't really have wanted to pay for this guy's extradition, trial and then possibly have to take care of him (food, housing, guards, healthcare etc.) for who knows how long.

Although, they might still want their justice.

Thailand can be obliging in many circumstances.

NAH!!!  Never-mind.  The USA can't have gotten that smart, even with The Don at the helm.

    Good luck.

Non functional again at least since Sunday ridiculing the headline (just checked again).

    "No backend server available"

    Don't rely on it.

"Good" for me that I don't need to get upset.

I have a new passport (old one expired) and can not use it anyway before re-entering Thailand  (another "joke").

Will go in person or use postal mail.

    Just noticed. Overlooked.

Still not working.  This is the message I see...

    Failure of Web Server bridge:

No backend server available for connection: timed out after 10 seconds or idempotent set to OFF or method not idempotent.

So it's yet another form that isn't listed in the OP's post that my landlord has to sign as well? So now I will have pick it up drive it back to Rawai for my landlord to sign? This is getting a bit stupid... I guess they did away with the form asking you about your use of social media and were you frequent. I found the acknowledgement of conditions form online, it wasn't listed in the OP either! Here: http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/form_acknow_con2stay.pdf

I have to do my extension in the next week, I'll report back when I get it. Did you have to come back the next day to pick up your passport still or do they sign it while you wait? Then I need a re-entry permit after I get my extension. More fun at immigration every year. It used to be so easy, one trip and maybe an hour and you left with your passport.

Is this link for the STM. 2 form that has been mentioned in this thread?

The Thai Immigration Forms Download page has a TM. 2 and a TM. 2/1 available for download but I doubt they are the forms Phuket Immigration would want for a retirement extention.  And I don't see an STM. 2 form on that page.
