  1. a move against income inequality Early this year, Srettha stepped down as CEO and president of his family’s company, Sansiri, one of Thailand’s largest property developers with assets worth over 100 billion baht ($2.9 billion). He also transferred all of his shares, reportedly valued at more than 1.2 billion baht ($35 million), in the company to his daughter. The recipient of an MBA from Claremont Graduate University in the U.S., Srettha led Sansiri to a record profit of over 4 billion baht ($117 million) in 2022. Early Life Name Srettha Thavisin Net Worth $1.3 billion Occupation Politician, Businessman Maybe he first would have a look at him self and then all other wealthy people, as "Red Bull"family, CP and so on and so on.
  2. He had an angel on his shoulder, up to lottery to buy winning ticket.
  3. Is there someone who is already involved with Wise account? I red, you can put your money on an account, even getting 3.19% interest. Everybody can send it to your Wise account, there is a card, there are apps. Red Wise isnt a bank, however doing business with Barclays and JP Morgan. And therefor protected with money guarantee of 100000 euro, instead of 25000 euro in Thailand. Then the account is international, so no codes about abroad money? Is Wise a solution?
  4. A husband asked his wife something which goes to from 0-100 in 3.8 seconds for his birthday . So she gave him a weighing scale
  5. Once i was working on it, Was busy buying a house in Sorsogon. Then the woman, I ought to know(NOT), had no intention of helping hand, fought me. So that was the end of the relation and end of house in Phil. As in Phil, you also cant own land. Have been in Manila, Palawan, Bohol , Borocay, Legaspi, Sorsogon Driving from Legaspi to Sorsogon really made me enthusiastic. Really incredible landscapes. Legaspi Sorsogon are nice little "towns". But the dream went up in flames of woman who changed her mind.. Duterte is gone now, however, president now is a Marcos family relative again. Good or bad?
  6. Thought about it what should I do. In "my" country, leaving it empty, probably unwanted people in it and/or trashed. Still have to pay local tax, insurance, road & water tax, and filling tax form which would give me some advantage (get some money back). House empty, it will go down in state. Repairs will come up. Have to find someone trustworthy, checking property and pay for it. It is all lose. If I would rent it out, all of the above is still there, though I can split local tax and road&water tax is for renter. However what kind of renter? You can have an awful renter. They can totally break down your house or just dont pay. See tv program about it of properties in UK. Or you have someone starting to grow cannabis or anything else. Or you have 20 people in the house. As I rent it out, I have to pay tax again on income and also extra on broker who takes care of renting out the house. I dont think, it would be profitable. It could work if you know someone REAL well. But also that can change. So probably, I will sell. Going back home again? I dont think so, it is getting worse here already. I have to decide if I really leave now, time until 2027. Moving to side country would already improve my status. Thailand? not sure as they are changing now real fast, negative. Philippines maybe? Beautiful country, with the (SRRV) visa you can even work (if you want). Going back for medical treatment? Makes no sense and you have to pay yourself, as you dont have an insurance anymore in home country. Maybe then would go to India. It seems even Americans from USA, go to India, as it is cheaper. Imagine they have to fly all the way and back and still cheaper. Red it once , long time ago, not knowing if it is still like that. Mostly all doctors in India did their experiences in USA or other "high class" hospitals in other parts of the world. They then go back to India being a doctor, western trainend.
  7. Amazing find! gospelbluesrock This is almost new, who needs a band today?
  8. Something different, drums but not the usual ones, Good sound and performance Some techno drumming, but again not usual instruments, nice though? Then a section with real drums, those give me real goose bumps With blower section included and then the show, jeepers
  9. See, also a lefty with a right hand guitar. Playing up side down
  10. OK other side of the world ????. I know, some Dutch language based persons are here as wel, so gave it a shot with you as the same. However Bert Kaempfert made nice music, introducing to you?! Was just looking at your profile, but jeepers you are old ???? Really born in 1907? Then you must be the oldest person in the world ???? I know you are older, but that old?
  11. Good to hear Bob, that after 4 days of not drinking, you awakened. You see your wife in a different way now. Once you wrote negative about her. Now she is your rock, hold tight on her! It is not easy coming off from an addiction and maybe never. You got to fight for your right to party (life without the alcohol) Keep on going Bob
  12. Nope, if im correct. If you read what they are planning, they tax all income of funds from abroad in Thailand. Thai elite evade tax income by having offshore accounts and they want to end that, but in the same time all other citizens are at the same level. Then banks should have a part (if not already working) in this and have to reveal all transactions from abroad to government. As you first make a model and test it and then it becomes final. Or banks even have software, where automatically the tax will be send to revenue department? If they call it "wealth tax" then maybe also pensions are charged, despite taxed already in homeland?! It will be completely separated is my guess. For instance people of "my" country cant do tax handling in Thailand anymore(or still in negotiation). Thailand made an agreement, homeland takes care and that is already bad. But with this, then all farangs have again to deal with revenue department Thailand? All back in Thai system with tax id's? You tell me, no clue at all. They say, no tourists will be taxed. But it is money from abroad, if you use ATM. So they make a special code for tourist, depending on your visum? Some AI has to check that? I woudlnt be surprised if they had some guidelines from other, western countries. Global it looks like countries are closing, the global system wants you to stay where you are and all because of the money. Changes in visa, changes in money handling. And all for the real rich ones.
  13. My bad, if you are an Aussie, then you probably dont know. Maybe as wel any other non Dutch land, as series were Dutch language. The music was used in "cpt. Zeppos" , Dutch language based, so older folks, merely in Belgium, Holland would know. On tv in the time, same with "Ivanhoe" with Roger Moore, "Axl North" and "Floris". Mostly in conflict with other channel, as my father needs to see football, 555. Saturday was "Rawhide" time.
  14. Back in time? When you were watching tv?
  15. Chlorination is not nice, but they use(d) it longtime. Can also cause health problems. "My"country replaced the Cl and use now UV light. Also we replaced lead pipes, first house(8 ties) i lived in, still had lead pipes. So what did it do to me? Im still alive. For that matter, at that time we still used lead in petrol. It changed and now other additives are in petrol. Lead could lead to negative effects on brain. Plastics can have chemicals (additives), which solve in water and you drink it. See for PVC wikipedia. Some additives are forbidden in EU, what about Thailand and PVC additives? Thailand still has pesticides, which are forbidden in western world for long time. Was it 2 years ago Thailand wanted to forbid several as wel? Never heard about it again. Micro plastic found even in beer, you drink it and then it is in your body. All cans have a plastic coating, so ...? That plastic is also in shampoos and many other cosmetic products, to make your hair shiny. Then you flush it away and it is in open water system, coming back to you some time, somehow. Also the PE, PET bottles have the same issue of solving additives. Then you have PFAS, used in pans and pots for non sticking, but also in water system, also not good, but still there. In "my" country they have court cases now against 3M and Dupont. Coffee is made on 96 degrees, the best temperature Ok this was water, so what about food? You know what they put in there?
  16. Just one of those cases in this "wonderful" world. SO what about: People leaving their child to die in a heated car, as they "forget" their child? Yemen, babies are born and die in war time as there is no food? Same as in Philippines, as dad wants some f*** and then again a child is born, having no food? Then they ask, if you can take over a child. India, little girls (from age 7) are sold and kidnapped, forced to work in prostitution? Vietnam, how many innocent kids died, were abused in that war time? Yup, there are/were quite some wacko's in the world and always will be. As Louis Armstrong song "what a wonderful world, o yeaaahhhhh"
