Thailand’s bio-circular economy and the problem of imported trash
xtrnuno41 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Also China imported plastic waste, not only Thailand. Also Malaysia, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia They mentioned once to stop this, already long time ago. They get paid for it , otherwise why would you import? An easy way to get rit of it then is dumping it in the oceans, 8000000 MILLION TONS/year. Dumping is even more profitable then, it seems. -
People reminded not to smoke at Hua Hin markets
xtrnuno41 replied to webfact's topic in Hua Hin and Cha-Am News
And then a Thai pops up with a diesel, totally not right set, fuming big black smoke out. -
I see they are looking at a fan. So that one would have caused the fire? I dont think sockets in a class room are fused for lower Amps. As what should you put on a socket in a classroom? So having a B5 instead of C20 would be wise. And of course with a RCBO. But Thai dont want a fuse to work. Ill bet they have C20 A fuse. Yes, the power went up, when on the partial shortcut in the fan, but before a C20 shuts of you need higher Amps and/or longer time and here it is was lower, not switching the fuse. If you have a hard shortcut then power goes up in jiffy time and C20 will reach switching point. This shortcut in the fan was to create more heat and not yet switching the fuse, too high. The power could have been 15 A , just creating more heat, until it sets plastic housing on fire. This fan would normally do 300 W tops, 1.3 A. Or the fan wasnt running anymore, dirt in fan, no more spinning and then motor will be heated up, no motor cooling anymore and reach critical temperature to ignite housing. Motors have their own cooling fans. The motor becomes a heating element.

Legal Help to Dispute a will left by my Father in Law
xtrnuno41 replied to BAKABAS's topic in Family and Children
First thing is, is the will legal, is it not a fake? Which lawyer made up the will? Find that lawyer to check. A will is a will, if it is registert. But what are Thai rules/law? Your wife and her brother are the first in line to inherit, as nothing is mentioned about a mother. You need to find out, what are the Thai rules/law about that. Thailand’s free and accessible Women’s health care
xtrnuno41 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Of course one point first, how in rules, culture or otherwise Thailand is thinking about that? I know Thai are donating blood, but organs after dying? Maybe they do, but you ll have to inquire. I see you need a Universal Health Care card, she has? If the doctor is not active in kidney transplant, resolving, as he should be, find another one then. Or Thailand has no such a thing as organ donor system, then all holds. It is or nr 1 or 2. 12 years is a long time and indeed with the death of so many people in traffic, there could easily be the right donor. I just did a little check and it seems Red Cross in Thailand is active in organ donation. So maybe inform there. Contact information Organs Donation Center, Thai Red Cross Therdprakiet Somdej Phrayanasungworn (Charoen Suwattano) Bld., 5th Floor Henry Dunant Road, Pathumwan, Bangkok 10330 Tel: 1666 To me it looks like the doctor is somehow holding things back. -
When the brain pops for some reason at all, it can cause devastating events. Addiction is one of it. Some years ago, Thailand, father had argue with son in law, killed him AND his daughter. Putin thinks he has to make war. Ping as well, wait for it. You could call it power addiction. A whole country is manipulated and dominated by one guy, Kim and the ones before him. Myanmar, Belarus, Syria and many others. When the brain pops.

Foreigner Apologises For Catching Parrotfish Off Southern Island
xtrnuno41 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
IN the mean time, there are 100-dreds of professional fishing boats from China, catching ALL kinds of fish, all over the world. Not by 4 or 5, but TONS. Little boats fishing and then one big mother ship collecting all and bring it to China. Or having sharks, cut of their vin and throw back the still living sharks. Not just one or 2 but in the 100-dreds, 1000-sands of them. In the mean time EVERY year we, humans, donate 8000000 TONS of plastic to the oceans. Criminals, not being punished and getting rich. As this amount is really abnormal, but no almost no one cares. But then there are people, who care and trying to catch this again and bring it back. Fact is, too many people on this planet. -
Property (house?) in UK, get rit of it already. One less worry. OK, if you are and need going back, when wife dies, it could be handy to keep. The niece raised as daughter has a special loving place? Then your wife MUST do something with a will. All is in her name, so she decides. I assume you were the father figure in nieces life and maybe feel the same way? If she doesnt do a will, then parents, brothers or whatever family in line are claiming. They sure will ! It must be set in a will for that (niece) daughter. Maybe to avoid hassle with the retirement bank. register your mariage in Thailand, although after 40 years. But could smoothen. Congratulations with that, you found your soulmate. I envy you. I assume, your UK executor will take care of all when you die. Selling property and shifting money. as your wife will stay in Thailand.

So then finally we all agree, the government is guilty. As they should inspect, do recommendations and approve. Let them pay then. Invest time to search for brown envelopes. Still no one knows about the explosion which occurred. I think you can shut down all Thai bars, restaurants, even cosy wooden resorts completely. Too dangerous. You remember some years ago student house? Or UK, where they used flammable panels on the outside of a flat? If you really want to avoid, then all should be a concrete building, all of it. Chairs, tables all concrete. Anything what can burn, forbidden. You are visiting? You have to take of your clothes, as many cloths are flammable due to plastic. Or put on cotton overalls with a hair net. You drink a whisky or something like that? It has to be fire proof and vapors of alcohol cant come out. You want to go there? Yes this is tragic, i wouldnt be one of the victims. In Chiang Mai i was staying in a big hotel. In their garage, on one of the upper floors, they keep old mainly wood furniture and other stuff. All piled together, very flammable. The garage is ... connected to the hotel. Dont know if it is still there, but probably.

Minor collision: Who's in the wrong?
xtrnuno41 replied to 2long's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Technically, i think, you are to blame. You make the turn, but still any traffic going straight you have to let them pass. She was "overtaking" in wrong way, but you had to let her pass. I learned, if a car or anything else stops, you approach while taking speed back, an unusual situation, keeping your eyes open to see what is happening. Im still doing that ever since. However the Thai woman did not and you didnt either. Luckily "happy ending" -
As long as Thailand dont enforce their own laws to Thai, you have the "mai pen rai" system working. In Songkhla for instance, four people died on gas in a sewer. And it could have been way more. Traffic, no enforcement Thai law by police. Broken down vehicles on the road, people arent trainend and ignore. Every day an average of 40 people die in traffic in Thailand. So who can we blame all that, Prayuth? I can go on with the listing but makes no sense. Thailand is another world.

Cant come up with a technical reason to control in- or out let. In Thailand it is not like western way, where we have separate cold and hot connections. In the tap, we mix the streams and quantity. Thailand has pipe coming out of wall, easy to solid connect a tap on it then and then lead to device. Easy way to connect then the shower right on it and ready for shower. Cheap way. Control quantity with one solid tap and temperature with electronic control. Im assuming you are going the western way with tap? To make 2 connections cold and hot, so you can choose and mix with the handles?

Both are heating up water. I just would simply use the shower heating device , common in Thailand, and the 3.3 kW is more then sufficient to get hot water, as they are used in showers for hot water. With a 6 kW you increase power, the 4 mm2 is still capable enough. You ll have I=P/U , 6000/230= 26-ish A. Your spare RCBO ( i red ) is C20 A, you will have to replace it then (C30), when using a 6 kW device. And that is just when it is in stable condition working. The current is even bigger in a spike when you turn it on. But ok that would be short time, but if you operate hot water several times in a row, it all could add up. Every time a spike. That is with a shower heater. With a boiler only when temperature water is below setpoint. With a boiler you also have coming cold water in instantly, also mixing with the hot water. It s constructed the cold water is pressing out the warm water, but also then starts mixing, simply it is in contact with the hot water. Is this device a boiler (?) then only switches when temperature gets below setpoint. I guess it is. The tempcontoler is in the bottom, some away from the heating element. You have several household of them from just 10 ltr up to 120 ltr, but you cant install them all in a cabinet, only the little ones. But see my former remarks about boilers, cq multipoint heaters. I even said there should be a relieve valve on it, but maybe that is a safety demand in my country. I have a 15 ltr with that. Kitchen was way of from my gas multipoint (heater) and it took too long for me having warm water, so spilling cold water, also leaving warm water pipe filled with warm water for nothing. There for i built in cabinet, as they call it here, close in boiler. Now my gas multipoint is singel point. I see the situation changed and you had someone coming. Also as somewhere is a 4 mm2 cable going from fuse box C20 to a joint for airco where 4 mm2 goes into 2.5 for airco. As you said , you could use it as well for the heater. Good. Making a box with 2 switch(es)? Or airco or heater? The cable to the heater should still be 4 mm2 and the switch must be able to handle the current. Probably as they do in Thailand use a fuse capable in current. But then you and others have to be aware, just ONE of the switches is on and thats tricky. Not really desirable. If they put in a real "or switch", meaning or airco or heater is on, not both at the same time. That is THE way, safest. Just one switch standing or left or right, choosing desired device. Of course the switch must be able to handle the highest current. Of course you can make it remote control, but then you need to do way more things. Or "auto switch" with a built in priority handling. As if both on the same line are on and working at full capacity, you ll have 26 + 5 (Crossy reference airco) =31 A., in case of the 6 kW heater. Up till limit cable. Fuse can be C32, but is also on working "limit". With some switching the fuse could be blown out. Not a shortcut then, but the fuse is heated up and breaks. Thermal trip.

You just demand on having at least 4 mm2 wiring, direct from RCBO in fuse box to your heater. I would say forget about plugs and sockets and connect direct on device. Also again demand a RCBO, with a 30 mA switch off value. The older fuse on which you have connected the socket, will be replaced by the new one. The wiring has to be taken off, so switch off main power. You are powerless for that in your whole house, takes tops 10 minutes. Always measure first on fuse if power is indeed gone, well "the guys" should know, not. I dont know if more sockets are on that same group and what devices are on it. In that case: Better make a new group only for heater with new drawn wiring. See if you have the space in your fusebox and what is used or not. I know Thai are easy in connecting and placing, but done well? A RCBO is a fuse included with a differential measuring device between the live and neutral wire. In Amp , what goes in the device "also goes out" by the 2 wires. if there is a difference between them, then it shuts down at 30 mA difference. It means then the power finds another way of going round and you have problems with device or wiring. At least you are protected from electrocution. Those have a test button extra on the device. So you know, can see, it is a RCBO You demand a B20 A fuse on the RCBO, if you are having a 3.3 kW device. Thailand has mostly C20 but there are B20 as well, find it. They are safer. Switch action is faster at shortcut. You are the customer, you pay, demand. Electricity kills in a jiffy. Example RCBO: You see the notations, this one is a B10 and you see 30mA which is differential protecting. You see, with this one, the yellow testbutton. It can be any color. Also this one is for a DIN rail mounting, so your fuse box MUST have that. This is a dinrail:

Sattahip fire could have been avoided for an extra ฿200 a panel
xtrnuno41 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
In the UK you had a flat burning down, due to decorative panels on the outside. In 2000 a bar here was burned down on old years eve. They made it very nice inside with all kind of decorations, it's a party, however all with highly flammable items. Christmas branches were hanging and were totally dry. They didnt expect many people(80), but were wrong(300). Further blocked escape routes, also blocked by people passing out. At that point we had the song alive form Deep Purple. "Some stupid with a flair gun, burned the place to the ground" Even the title was right, "Smoke on the water" Eventually 14 people died and 200 sever wounded. All within 3 MINUTES. Ta ta taaaaaa, tata tataaaa. Smoke on the water, a fire in the sky. -
Why don't Makro make this small change?

It is simple, every business is like "all for me" A businessman is not human, but only a pain in the a** -
In his speech "get those foreigners and let them pay more and more" I know also Thailand is low on medicines and a young pharmacist is complaining about the lack of those medicines and probably there will be more pharmacists complaining about absence of medicines. But of course you are not allowed to say to a minister, as they all kept quitte? Keep on dreaming, man. Right out, have some marihuana.

A boiler is nice, but with it, you have to install a pressure safety relief valve. The boiler can handle only a certain amount of pressure. Maybe nowadays it could be included in the boiler?, but doubt it. It is fitted in the water inlet of the boiler. When heating water up, also pressure will go up. and you need to exhaust it. It is for the first time i ever see a boiler in Thailand (for sale) Have no clue on what is Ph of the city water in Thailand. If the Ph is sour then with heating you can have more problems with corrosion as the water will stand with higher temperature. Also the watertank is kept on temp setpoint, meaning it will switch on/off to keep the amount of water in the boiler to setpoint. So it cost more power and therefor money. But you have instantly warm water at first. The Thai shower items only starts to use power when you use the water. I can buy boiler but cant even buy such a thing here, only by internet then. I have a stand in boiler 15 ltr can go to 80 degrees C, 2200 W. With a pressure relieve valve. Ph here is 7-7.1 neutral to slightly base. Acid, Ph less then 7 and with higher temperature can give you more problems in (pit)corrosion, also with what is more in the water. Could result to leakages in time then. Yes the boiler at least should be copper, as well as the pipes and the space for the heating element and temperature sensor. And maybe it is even an alloy copper, all though it makes it more expensive then. I dont see them mentioning anywhere on which Ph it could run. You can now have an installation, called Quooker. It can give you normal water, cold water, warm water, hot water and STEAM. And if you want, even bubbly water could be produced. OK there is a big price tag on those. You need to use the Thai way heaters 3.5 kW? Replace the wiring with 4mm2 to a RCBO only for that heater. Metal is used in the tap and metal sink, but with the RCBO you are protected. Note the RCBO has a 30 mA switch off. If you want you can ground it, but you need a proper working ground. Find another socket and plug , which can stand 15 A gracefully, if you really need to connect it like that, otherwise just put the wiring direct on the heater. That would be my choice.

Medical tourism? Right, double-charging foreigners!
xtrnuno41 replied to unblocktheplanet's topic in Health and Medicine
See the word "unjust" and then how they interpreted it. You can bend it any which way you like. Dutch expat to appeal after Thai court sides with higher hospital fees for foreigners: In its judgment, the court said that it did not see that as discriminatory – because the higher rates charged of foreigners, who it presumes earn more than Thais, is good for the nation. "my" government did the same. They were looking for police men, but they had to be from another race. other then standard Dutch.(white cheese heads). They called it "positive discrimination", yha right. It is the same with the word "work" in Thailand, they can interpret it anyway they want.
