  1. To reform the RTP needs a complete overhaul of Thai society, because there in lies the problem, the general mindset that corruption is not necessarily a bad thing. There have been polls for many years with questions about corruption, and they always show that at least 65 to 70% of the Thai people are not opposed to corruption: as long as they can profit from it!
  2. Ukrainian officials say that at least 180 bodies, including "whole families" with young children, have been discovered in a mass grave in Lyman less than one week after troops reclaimed the formerly Russian-occupied city. As the Ukrainian army liberates more towns and villages, we can probably expect many more of these horrible finds. https://www.newsweek.com/whole-families-among-180-bodies-found-mass-grave-lyman-ukraine-1750064
  3. Did drugs since high school, violent history, got his drugs from another cop, not doing his job. So all the necessary requirements to become or be a cop, then. Jeez, how can someone like that even enter the TGP? Don’t they have some kind of screening process? Or are the ‘qualifications’ that this guy had actually viewed as positive and contributing to the RTP?
  4. That guy has got a sense of humor on him! I mean, really? Then why are we not all driving Russian cars, and using Russian iphones? The only thing that Russia excels at right now is subhuman behavior in their war against Ukraine, and in the parts of Ukraine they occupy. They’re also getting very good at oppressing their own people in ‘mother Russia’.
  5. Královes (formerly known as Kaliningrad) belongs to the Czech Republic now. After the successful referendum it turns out that 97,7% of the people want to be part of the Czech Republic.
  6. In my country there are plenty of right-wingers saying how convenient this war is for the ‘liberals’ to achieve their energy transition goals, seeing as how prices of gas and electricity are going through the roof.
  7. What other solution would you propose, then? Just let Russia take Ukraine and keep committing their daily war crimes?
  8. Here’s another reminder that if the West can provide Ukraine with enough advanced weapons, they are able to kick the Russian nazis out.
  9. Here’s hoping many Russian soldiers will see the light and follow their example!
  10. A very sobering view of the war. Besides killing, murdering, raping and torturing, the only purpose of the Russian army being there seems to be to pillage, loot and steal everything they can get their hands on. And then after a few months, and losing (tens of) thousands of men, they retreat. The complete madness of Putin’s senseless war exposed.
  11. Kadyrov says he’s sending his three sons (14, 15 and 16 years old) to the front in Ukraine. If that is true, he’s an even bigger a-hole than I thought and his sons will be so grateful! Not. But somehow I suspect they won’t see any action and will be kept far from any danger. Can’t have any sons of the great Chechen leader go home in a body bag, or missing an arm or a leg, now can we? https://www.kyivpost.com/russias-war/chechnyas-kadyrov-says-sending-teenage-sons-to-ukraine-front.html
  12. This is gross negligence, at the very least. Their defense that it was ‘not intentional’ is completely ludicrous. The owners should sue that bank for as much as they possibly can.
  13. They will discuss, and then discuss some more, and then maybe a committee will be formed, but in the end nothing will happen.
  14. They caused damage, didn’t they? So the outcome is the same.
  15. Unbelievable! They claim the ‘error’ was not intentional. So what? If I rear-end a car in front of me, do I not have to pay for the damage when I claim it was not my intention to ram them from behind? That’s ridiculous. And destroying people’s property is unforgivable. Why not just give back the books and pictures and such that have no value to others, but great sentimental value to the owners? I would sue the pants off that bank and ask for a lot more in compensation than 2 million baht. Talk about stupid, rude and utterly disrespectful behavior, they should be made to pay through their nose!
  16. On a more serious note: this map shows very nicely the progress that the Ukrainian army has been making.
  17. Ramzan Kadyrov says Russia should use low-yield nuclear weapon in Ukraine. He also criticized the Russian generals and the decision to withdraw from Lyman. This from the man whose army got their @sses handed to them when they tried to take part in the war in Ukraine. https://www.business-standard.com/article/international/putin-ally-kadyrov-calls-for-using-low-yield-nuclear-weapons-in-ukraine-122100200051_1.html
  18. The director general of Ukraine's Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant was detained by a Russian patrol, Energoatom, the state-owned company in charge of the plant, said on Saturday. Ihor Murashov was detained on his way from Europe's largest nuclear plant to the town of Enerhodar around 4 p.m. (1300 GMT) on Friday, company chief Petro Kotin said in a statement. "He was taken out of the car, and with his eyes blindfolded he was driven in an unknown direction," Kotin wrote on the Telegram messaging app, adding there was no immediate word on Murashov's fate. https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/zaporizhzhia-nuclear-plant-director-general-detained-by-russian-patrol-2022-10-01/
  19. Hungary is already pushing to have all sanctions against Russia lifted by the end of this year at the latest. Orban is proving himself to be the perfect Putin lapdog, right in the heart of NATO and the EU. But the most important reason why Ukraine can’t join NATO (not yet, anyway) is because it is at war with Russia. Russia can call it a “special military operation” until they’re blue in the face, but this is war, no matter how you slice it. So if Ukraine were to join NATO, all the countries in NATO would automatically be at war with Russia as well.
  20. On the day that Putin announces the annexation of the occupied territories in Ukraine, a little chunk of that is being taken away from him already, as the town of Lyman is about to be recaptured (or better yet, liberated) by the Ukrainian army and thousands of Russian troops face being trapped. What a nice kick in the teeth to Putin on this “glorious” day. Hope there will be many more to follow. https://czechia.postsen.com/news/51609/The-Ukrainians-apparently-almost-surrounded-the-city-of-Lyman-Russia-denies-the-impending-debacle.html
  21. Well, not quite: maybe install a democracy this time around, instead of a totalitarian communist regime?
  22. Here's full translation of his address. "Hi everyone, the first tank regiment is here. We were officially told that there would be no training before we will be sent to the war zone. The regiment’s commanders confirmed this. On September 29 we’re will be sent to Kherson. Think for yourself, decide for yourself what to do with it in the future. There was no shooting training, no theoretical training, nothing".
  23. I wish it was just ‘some’ idiots. There are millions in the USA alone who believe every deranged, treasonous and demented thing he says, they just eat it up and love it.
