  1. what a lot of shit you men are talking. Take a look on the streets of Pattaya - the gay streets - I am a journalist and I was told I would be dead if I talked the truth about it............ young, young boys......... go see for yourselves.......

If you are a responsible journalist with a conscience, why wouldn't you publish what you believe to be the truth, or if you're worried about reprisals, why not take what you know to be the truth to the appropriate authorities?

Paedophiles should be prosecuted, and innocent, defenceless children should be protected.

This will never happen if people put their heads in the sand or turn a blind eye to paedophilia.

BRAVO BRAVO...If there were more people like youself than the kids would be more safe :o

  2. I used to go out to the end of the small soi where we lived and flag down a cab. I would then get the car to go back to the apartment block so we could pick up my waiting wife and daughter.

One day the taxi I flagged down headed down the soi as instructed, but as soon as I told him to go into the apartment block, he started making these weird groaning noises and acting as if he was scared stiff of the place - he just kept going, quite slowly and refused even to stop - although I was by this time yelling at him in Thai to stop and let me out.

Eventually, about another 100 metres down the road I'd had enough and belted him over the back of the head with my open hand. He immediately stopped, and I jumped out...

I won't tell you what I said at the time...but as you can imagine, it was mai supharp mahk!

:o May be he had insight of ghost(s) in the soi and want to stay away?

"belted him on the head & mai suparp" :D I think it goes hand in hand. Becoming a bit violent areb't we? :D .....very funny though

  3. I've not had any dangerous experiences as such, but a girlfriend of mine gets cabs from the airport often.  She has had about 5 drivers doze off whilst driving on the top deck of the toll road!  She has to whack them in the shoulder to wake them up.  One of them had the gall to tell her that it was 'bpep diao' and that she shouldn't worry!

    Crazy.

    :o "Bpep diao" :D

Oh God. I've been in Thailand in Bangkok & Surathani for more than 15 years and yet to see as much as you listed. This is wonderful

Let me ask you, with this list, Can you pick the top 10 spots? I would like to use it when I get back to BKK :D

  5. You are visiting them so really you should abide by their rules, It IS a muslim Island, meaning that most people who live there are muslim, get some beers for the boats if having lunch without a beer terrifies you.

Its obviously important to them or else they would be people selling beer, you guys dont have to live there and deal with the .5% of people who probably cant take their beer and act like <deleted>, mix that with their belief system and the fact their kids, elders witnessing something forbidden to their religion.

Saying Thailand is not a muslim country means nothing, you are visiting an island (with nearly 100% muslim inhabitants) to see the sights not get pissed.  Why not just save the beer for the bars, I dont see the problem, I like a beer as much as the next guy but if I visit a community where its agianst their religion, I'm not going to begrudge them not selling it.

Also I dont get the OP's comments about the girls wearing muslim head dress, why even mention that? Alongside his comments about them taking over the country, smacks of racism to me.

I hate Political correctness as much as the next guy but still why make a song and dance because you cant buy a beer from muslim people.

I completely agree with you Ben. Its all about respect. You're visiting their village so you respect their rules.

  6. The photos of the 787E inside look really nice, so does the A380. I agree it will be a win win situation all around.

Still waiting for the teleporter though!!! :o

Photos look great yes. But you can bet your bottom dollar that upon delivery to the the airlines that buy or lease them they will not look like that. Being a flight attendant for over 20 years I laugh when I see see these mock ups with lounge areas and wide economy seating. Remember it's all about making money and squeezing as many seats as possible on to the aircraft. Sure Business will be very comfortable and First very plush but it is now. Remember the majority of you travel economy so comfort level will remain the same.

any advice on where I can see both plane inside & out?

  7. Why bother living in Thailand if you don't trust them.  How can you even be happy knowing the guy/gal next to you can screw you at any time?

For the life of me, I'm not sure how anyone can justify saying Thai people in general are dishonest when only a few pertains to this category.

Most Thai people I know are honest and caring people.  If you have not met any you need to get out of your house a bit.  There are plenty of honest Thais out there.

Calm down there dudey, expats are gonna live here regardless of whether they can trust. I know that I cannot. But why are the vast majority of expats living in Thailand? (easy question) Because of the Poon Tang you silly goose. Hot chicks are far and away more important than having to manuver around all the dishonesty. In fact, they are far and away the most important things in our lives. So what we all need to do is simply take our precautions and not enter into any legally binding agreements. No putting our John Hancock's down nowhere, Molfraire. I can dig that. Here's a chrome plated Dude shovel to all who can. :D:o:D

I can diggit soul brother number 1 . Thanks for the Chrome plated shovel cooool cat, but can't accept cuz chroming a shovel is darn expensive eh'

HOLY Bolgna, I'm starting to talk like "the dude". :D

I hear what you saying about the "Poon Tang" , but that is not an excuse to assume "Thai Girl" in generally are liars. They may want some or all of your money, but who doesn't?. If you're gullable enough to flaunt the moolah and act as if you are have alot of cash floating around than you deserve whats coming to ya.

Dig that with a small shovel coool ddady :D . o'GOD somebody stop meeee pleaseeee.

  8. Why bother living in Thailand if you don't trust them. How can you even be happy knowing the guy/gal next to you can screw you at any time?

  9. Pre-nup or not, think long and hard about what it is about her you fell in love with and chances are those qualities are unique to Thai women.

Now ask yourself do you really want to change her by taking her to live in the states?  Because I guarantee you it will.  Some changes may be positive and others not, but rest assured a move to the states will change her in many ways which you'll have absolutly no control over.

That was my experience and I'm not alone.  In my case things went from having a happy married life in Bangkok to a first-hand introduction to living hel_l in LA.

She found what she was looking for there and I found it here.

Don't mean to sound negative but I may still be with her today had we decided to stay here in BKK.  Or maybe not.

But before you uproot your new wife to live in the states, believe me when I say they will westernize faster than you can imagine and in my case it just didn't work out.

I'm having more fun now anyways!!!  :D

    Best of Luck!

    :D  :D  :D  :o

The Dude hears you, Socalbro, when it comes to this matter. The Dude would never ever bring his hot chick to live in the USA. Could you imagine it? Ever surfer dude from La Jolla to Malibu would be literally chomping at the bit to date her. She would eat that up and go into a frenzy much like expats do here for the chicks. What a nitemare scenario! Thanks for your post on an important issue, socalbrodudester. I can dig with a shovel, my man

:D hel_l, sometime I don't think you made sense at all, but for some reason, I completely understood exactly what you just post :D .

  10. Sorry you all,  I completely disagree with pre-nup.  If you truly cares for the others, Money or items shouldn't be an issue. Even if you are trying to protect yourself.  If money and things matters that much to you than you shouldn't get married. As far a i'm concern, its all about caring and wanting to take care of the other person, even for a short period of time.  Thats what life is to me.

    Yawn. Love is blind?

Good advice from Neeranam and the Dude. Keep the money out of Muang Thai

:o yup you're right, I been blind for the last 14 years, and still going strong. darn shame isn't it :D

  11. I personally enjoy walking down the street and purchased food from a ma & pa's vending cart instead of McDonald & KFC.  For some reason it taste so much better.  Probably it because it so unclean  :o .  Am I crazy or does anyone else feel the same?

I must say though, McDonald's french fries are the best but its god awful for your health

I would push down a small person for some McDonald french fries right now. They don't have fast food in the part of the world I'm stuck in now but they will one day. I'm serious, show me some McD fries and a small person and I will push him down...

We wouldn't do that to you for fear of the small person kicking your arse :D

  12. I must say though, McDonald's french fries are the best but its god awful for your health

Yep, I guess you never heard of Belgian fries, the only real ones :o

Never had Belgian Fries but had Begian Waffles. I loved it.

umm.. Belgian Fires, are those the fries with meat gravy or vinegar on it? Regardless its good either way.

Where can I get Belgian ries anyway?

Used to be a great website amigoingdown.com, punch in rt, plane type, airline, date and it gave you probability of the flight going down. Not sure what happened to it, but I liked it.

very nice. After all these years of flying I still can't seem to get used to the idea of "plane crash with me on it" :D .. wonder why :o

  14. I suppose the truth is, the men of wealth are not the ones arguing with you! :o

For sure...they don't need my advice as they already know how it works. I guess I just went on and on to hear myself talk...the bane of lawyers.

But, maybe someone who has more than a little extra cash back home might think twice about what to do before tying the knot. Silly hope on my part?

We lawyers are too cautious in many ways....perhaps we miss out on the fun that our less cautious brothers experience. That ###### law school education!

OK...where is the Nana marriage forum? Can I marry more than one?

Now thats better. Nothing like losening up your trowsers and jump in head first :D

  15. If you fly cheap airlines, that's what to expect.

As a retired airline pilot I'll stick to Thai Aw. for safety reasons, better safe than sorry. :o

Is there any particular reason you think Thai AW is safer and better than any other? just curious.

I've been flying with NW, AA & Lufthansa but think its time for a change since their services are terrible. I'm thinking may be Thai AW might be a better choice?

  16. I personally enjoy walking down the street and purchased food from a ma & pa's vending cart instead of McDonald & KFC. For some reason it taste so much better. Probably it because it so unclean :o . Am I crazy or does anyone else feel the same?

  17. Listen, I like really can dig like that you cats are all on the right trip here regarding the weight gain. The Dude's suggestion is as follows: Do the 6 cans of Chang thing for openers, and while you're doing that you can munch down the nuts. I wouldn't go for the tato chippers cause they'll fill ya up too much. Then after you slam down the beers you engage in a massively major MCD chowdown. LOL. This is a scientifically proven weight gain program that come highly recommended from The Dude himself. She's gonna need a closet full of shovels to dig all the weight she's gonna pack on. Go easy though cause you don't wanna take this thing too far. Dig?

    Thanks for the reply Dude

But why is it every time I read one of your post I feel the need to slap someone :o

:D got to admit, Dude got ways of saying alot of things without saying anything :D "DUDE you should be a politician"

  18. Sorry you all,  I completely disagree with pre-nup.  If you truly cares for the others, Money or items shouldn't be an issue. OZONE, your heart may be in the right place but it appears to me that you are VERY naive. :o

Gary, you might be right. If my wife and I ever get divorced, I think she desreved half of what "we" accumulated together. Eventhough I am the Bread winner of our family, I don't think she contribute any more or less than I; therefore, she is welcome to her share of our wealth. My theory is "we struggled together so we can reap the benefits together"
