  1. translation AND legalization was 4 days in 2004 ( in Bangkok)(from english-to Thai)

I don't know if a translation from dutch to Thai would be so quick, but Belgium embassy can tell you that.

I suppose if you have it translated in Thai in Belgium already it would save you 2 days to have the legalization by MFA in Bkk.

Collect as many official stamps as possible. They like it.

You make 20 copies by your self and you have enough for the coming years.Keep the original.

  2. It is good news (at least for me :o )

Yesterday morning I went personally to this place.

Indeed through the main entrance and the first building on the left (even before the security)

Building is empty except fot the first floor.

One is busy to install all essential office atributes.

I spoke to the manager in charge and several others (all fluent in english !).

Ready for action by next month. ALL actions like 90 days reporting and all visa issues.

It is a big office with about 15-20 desks, fully manned.

It looked like I was the first client, the way how I was treated.

    :D:D:D

  3. from 800 till about 3000 baht for 18 holes ( sportdays 5-600)

    Caddy fee included.Caddytip between 150-300.

    Don't know about hired clubs.

Big difference in price between weekend and weekdays!!

Here in Korat from 120 (sportday) till 700 (Rooks golfclub) in weekdays.

Sikhiu and Pak Chong slightly higher but still below BKK prices and more nice courses

  4. I married 28 years ago in Holland with my Thai wife.

6 years ago we went to Indonesia ( work) and there I let my Dutch certificate translated into English. That's something you probably don't have to do ,being British (I suppose). The translation was certified by both Dutch and Thai embassies.

In my preparation for retirement in Thailand, I had my English translation , translated into Thai and this was certified by Thai ministry of foreighn affairs.(translation bureau will take care of that at total costs of about 2500 baht).

Since I use for all occuring occassions this Thai translated wedding certificate and it works fine.

  5. about 10 years ago, after walking around for more than 2 years with shoulderpain(not continiously but very frequent and increasing slowly), one morning I woke up and hardly could move my arm any more.

Doctor called it a frozen shoulder.

Although I heared before about this and one of the cures , injection in the shoulder, I never tried it.Knowing that the injection is difficult and dangerous to take more than one or two.

The pain was that heavy , I would had done almost anything....

The stuff they injected was "cortisone". I only know the word the doctor used in Holland and I could not find a translation in my English dictionairy :o

Injection only to be done by specialist/doctor ( NOT nurse).

After 24 hours I could move my arm reasonable and after a couple of days, everything was fine.

    Never had pain since :D

  6. Satu

Didn't you read all the posts of this topic?

Somebody just gave the information about changed room number and telephone number and stamp value!!

Or.. do you want to telll us that that is not true??

    Jay

I arrived on a long stay visa and not a married to a thai visa, although I am as you know.

Thai embassy as well as moving company advised for "retirement" visa.In that way I also don't need to bring my wife around extending my visa

  7. I married in Holland.

Had the dutch marriage certificate translated in English and had it certified at the Dutch and Thai embassies in Jakarta ( where I lived at that time).

I had the english version translated in Thai in Bangkok and certified by Thai Min. of Foreighn Affairs.

Many documents ,a lot of colorful stamps and everybody was ( and is ) happy.

    :o

Look at the comments of Tokyot about importing goods by Thai wife.

Customs lloking very careful at the total time of being absent from Thailand and the total of travels during the ;last 1 1/2 year should not evceed 3 times.

This was very careful inspected by the experts of my moving company B4 moving on these conditions ( returning Thai)
