  1. Open to everybody! Did work in the past and will work now

In " the old days " ,you could not only see how many there were in the chat room, but also who!!

Cannot promis to be as frequent present as I was in the past.

    I am retired now :o

  2. What's wrong with it?

    It is anonym is it?

To be very honest, many times I like to know if the so called experts or know everything'ers that are so frequently on the forum, are really that reliable in their information.

Staying a few weeks/months in Thailand and then go back to "civilization " but having a lot to say/comment about the daily business here, is not really what I am waiting for.

It ,of course ,depends completely on the subject

  3. Sorry George,I don't own a condominium.

Our house on (of course) on my wife's name.

I still do have the yellow tabien baan.

To be honest,I do think the official was not right to issue. However as long as I have it no one can take it away.

May be the small size of amphur and the fact that everybody knows everybody.

It's only 15 km's south of Korat (Nakorn Ratchasima)

  4. I am a little bit offended by the statement of Aletta ( who btw did not answer my question :D )

As`I said , there quite some foreigners in Korat with almost zero interest in internet.

I had a small chat with a american ( 71 years) who lived now for 11 years in Korat. He never heard of Thaivisa ,although he is regular on the internet.

Of course I gave him the website and hope he found his way now :D .

There are more like him and that was my point.

We are not all eithet teachers or alkies :o

  5. On what do you base this statement?

I think that there are more expats in Korat than you know and I also think that they are NOT too much involved in forum business.

  6. avantgarde.

Still did not get it but I will answer asap.

I (we) brought our belongings on my wife's name : as a returning Thai !

much easier and prefered by the moving company.

    There are however some rules.

Main rule;during the last year not more than 3 visits with a total of ..?.. days (I forgot).I let the moving companie's expert check the passport of my wife and it was OK.

I did door to door transport with a 40ft container without ANY problems

  7. I there a thai embassy in Belgium?

Otherwise you have to go to The Hague (Den Haag).Very friendly people overthere!

For use in Europe an english translation is fine but later a Thai translation is better for use in Thailand. The embassy should be able to provide you with addresses of official translators and the embassy will certify this document.

Any questions, just ask them. You have everything official so there is nothing to be afraid of.

    Good luck

  8. I was working and living in Indonesia. At that time I still did not know what to do about visa.Retirement or "marriage".I even believe that is was my first (and only ) topic I asked the forum.

    Back to your question.

I had my dutch marriage certificate translated into English. I had it certified at the Dutch embassy in Jakarta and also certified at the Thai embassy in Jakarta.

I had it translated (the English version) into Thai and had it certified by the ministry of Foreighn Affairs in Bangkok.

I made 25 copies of this all and did not use them because I went for a retirement visa :o

However I already used several copies for other purposes since than.

On the translations I have a lot of stamps in many colors.

Hope you can go the same way in Belgium

  9. We don't use the big white bottles.I don't trust the contents as the sealing is not professional and everybody seems to sell them ( and fill them ??)

For our drinking we first use the 5 ltr bottles from the shop.

(we do have 2 hot/cold dispensors and very difficult to put these "small" bottles on top.)

In the local hospital we saw the big bottles ( brand; Dee Na) and we found out where to buy.

It is local fabrication at 20 baht /bottle and has a good taste.

Only use it for cooking and drinking

  10. Suranawan Rd opposite main entrance of university (difficult parking). Also entrance of a small spa.

    Docter speaks english

    (044 271486 )

I finished a rootchannel treatment and placing a crown.

  11. Andy50

You are right about 2KVA= 1,6KW (stated in the brochure)

Ther are 2 sockets on the generator where you put your plugs , so you don't connect with the house electrical system.

    I am thinking of a 5 kva= 4 kw

    Thanks for the advice
