Thai wife being bullied by family
billd766 replied to thefarangteacher's topic in Marriage and Divorce
IMHO you must support your wife even at the expense of her family. Perhaps it might be an idea to gather all of her family together, along with your wife and a good lawyer of your choice, and produce a will cutting her entire family away and leaving them to survive on their own as they did before you came along. -

Legislators leave Thai parliament by boat to avoid protesters

Perhaps they were ordered to do so by the minister of defence (caretaker PM Prayuth). -
Keeping up is easy. It gets harder when there is evidence and enough proof to be taken to court and a conviction. Do you have any? I am still waiting for all the wonderful revelations (with enough proof to be taken to the courts and a successful prosecution made) you have claimed for months now to happen. All I see from the Trump supporters is allegations with no back up.

"refused to bring charges" on Hunter Biden for tax evasion

Where is your proof or is this just another straw you are frantically grabbing at? -

Naturally you have the proof of the corruption and are willing to publish it. You do have the proof, don't you, or is this just another mudslinging accusation? -
The cure lies at the GOP candidate committees feet. All they have to do is dump Trump, perhaps De Santis also, and run with a new candidate. If they do not have the guts to do so then they will reap what they have sown. The problem belongs to them alone. They may win the next election or they may lose with a different candidate, I have no idea as my crystal ball is in dire need of a service. IMHO however if they run with either Trump or De Santis they will most probably lose

My friend out here in rural Kamphaeng Phet talked to me last week about this problem. He drinks lots of milk and at the three 7/11s near us the milk well has dried up. Having read this thread it seems to be nationwide, and not just local. My wife was in BigC at Kamphaeng Phet yesterday and she saw none there either so it isn't just at the 7/11s.

Pita’s parting shot: Thailand has changed since election
billd766 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It was something that I was taught in the military decades ago and still holds true today. If you surround 1 group and another pops up, do you 1 deal with the first group and then the second group 2 split your force and try to deal with both 3 then a 3rd group pops up elsewhere and the 1st and 2nd groups fade away and become the 4th and 5th groups somewhere else 4 meanwhile the 1st and second groups appear somewhere else. 5 all the time the state forces are moving further from their bases and supplies and have to leave troops to defend them, leaving even less troops to try to put the groups down -
I have had 3 generations of cats that lived outside the house (NO animals were allowed in the house at all). I fed and watered them every day. Some left "home" and came back, some simply left, some were killed by other animals or by the traffic. They lived at my MIL old house in the ceiling or around the house. Just because you have never seen a cat running wild does not mean that they don't run wild. My cats had 15 rai of land to use and they still disappeared.

The same question could be asked of Prayuth.

Pita’s parting shot: Thailand has changed since election

IMO it would be better to have slightly smaller mobs but in far more places. A large angry mob in one city is easier to contain than smaller but equally angry mobs in many places. It would force the military and the police to cover a much larger area and have to split their numbers off to deal with many at the same time. -
Yingluck was also the minister of defence

Pita ordered to suspend doing his duties as an MP

Part of the problem is that legally the old dinosaurs are still in charge, though there is only one person with enough power and authority to be able to do that. If that person is thinking clearly enough to do that he will gain many points in his favour and very few against him. However IMHO he will not do that and when the crash/clash finally happens the Thai people will not forget his attitude. -

How easy it must be to condemn 70 million people as a keyboard warrior. I have also been living in Thailand for years and I have no intention of leaving. I have a Thai wife and an 18 year son who have helped and supported me for years. I have quite a few good Thai friends also. Why would I want to leave them just to look after my own skin? quote "Thai people are so naive. They lie blatantly, they corrupt blatantly, and no one says anything." Not ALL people are the same. The problem is NOT the Thai people, not even the majority of the military, but the generals, the HiSos, the incredibly rich who are the problem. -

I don't think it will be fun on the streets at all If I had a market business with orange helmets and face masks I would be giving them away and not BOGOF. It would be my small way of helping the protest.
