  1. It would be better if the coup generals and the UNELECTED senators pack up and leave. I think that Myanmar, North Korea and perhaps Cambodia would take them in, no questions asked as long as they have plenty of money, and they do.
  2. Of course they can. Have you forgotten who wrote the rules and who regularly ignore the rules?
  3. If the caretaker government does not change they can re-appoint the existing senators once again
  4. It is already here in Thailand.
  5. I have an 18 year old son who has just started uni. Like you quote " I don't have a vote, but I certainly have a dog in this fight!"
  6. Thus speaks a typical ANN anonymous keyboard warrior. Would you be willing to literally put your life on the line?
  7. Life is worth living every day when you open your eyes and you know you are not dead. Life is worth living every day when you take your first breath and you know you are not dead. The best thing that you can do in life is simply take it 1 day at a time. I am 79 and I have a breathing and a balance problem. I also have a Thai wife and an 18 year old son who has just started Uni. They alone give me a good reason to live every day. I am also working to my 100th birthday and looking forward to an email of congratulations from King William V in 2044.
  8. I used to do most of my own cooking and down in the house I still have a table top oven and a microwave. I can do roasts, grilled food, bread etc and my wife will bring veggies down if I ask. In the last couple of months I have lost a bit of interest as I have a breathing and a balance problem.
  9. For me, tonight's evening meal is a burger with lettuce, onion and mustard mayo in a toasted bun, tastily cooked by 'er indoors. Nothing else.
  10. I doubt if eating one of those cheesies every so often will cause most people a problem. Eating 2 or 3 at a session, 2 or 3 times a day for weeks on end probably will.
  11. Of course Thailand is more than ready. What Thailand does NOT need and NEVER did is military coups, nor did it ever need generals believing that they know best.
  12. When I was in the RAF in the 1960s to the 80s baked beans came in 10 lb tins and they weren't Heinz or Branston. They just got dumped into a 5 gallon bain marie to get heated. I used to prefer cold mushy peas straight from a tin in the fridge.
  13. I used to make them but I have a breathing and a balance problem nowadays. They tasted great but really need Coleman's mustard.
  14. Do you really believe that the other guy speaks for 3 hours no help. Does that mean to you, that everything he says he actually writes himself on his own. , he believes is true despite the fact that most of it is lies?
  15. I am old enough to remember the Mk1 Fiesta being released back in 1976. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Fiesta_(first_generation) The Ford Fiesta Mk1 is the first generation of the Ford Fiesta supermini. Originally introduced in 1976, it was Ford Europe's first multi-national front-wheel-drive automobile, and was available in both 3-door hatchback and panel van derivatives. In 1983, the Fiesta was updated, and the Fiesta Mk2 was introduced. I can even remember the Morris mini being released back in 1959. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mini The Mini is a small, two-door, four-seat car, developed as ADO15, and produced by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors, from 1959 until 2000. Minus a brief hiatus, original Minis were built for four decades and sold during six, from the last year of the 1950s into the last year of the 20th century, over a single generation, as fastbacks, estates, and convertibles. I now feel awfully old posting this.
  16. I do know better but it was specifically aimed at the poster, who BTW has not replied to my post.
  17. It depends on how many pies a day you eat and how many days a week you eat them. It also depends whether you make them yourself or buy them in. If you make your own, then you decide how much of what goes into them.
  18. Apart from ordering online the nearest pie shop is at Robinson's Tops, 65 km away.
  19. Because that is how second rate pies become first rate. If you cook for yourself you can change and improve the recipe as you go along. If you buy it in a restaurant it will be bland for everybody and perhaps second rate too.
  20. How about because you can make it exactly how you want it and not how somebody else wants to make it. More or less spicy as you like it, more of less meat and/or veg, thicker or thinner gravy. You can even make more portions and freeze the rest for later
  21. That looks tasty.
  22. The last 9 years was the best he could do?
  23. It is a Thai problem, so why are you getting upset. There is nothing that you can do about it anyway.
  24. What the Thai government can do is to enforce and clean up Thailand and then start pointing the finger at other countries. Sadly this current caretaker government didn't even bother to to that for the last 9 years. In an attempt to be unbiased none of the previous coup or civilian governments seemed to bother either.
