So a person who was once an illegal immigrant to the USA, who has never stood for an election to ANY public office has decided to ignore the public who voted the senators and congressmen into their position, snip from the OP "They will lose their primary next year if it is the last thing I do on this Earth." Who voted him to be the Grand Poo Bah to decide what other people should think and do?

Bread in US is actually poisoning you...
billd766 replied to Red Phoenix's topic in Off the beaten track
If you make your own bread, you can choose what kind of flour, oil etc you want to put into it. You may have to search around to find what you need. It will most probably e more expensive than the stuff that you can normally buy in shops and supermarkets, but it will depend on how mush bread you eat daily and and much money and time you are willing to spend making your own bread. Generally speaking the last lot of bread I made took about 4 hours and was only white bread. Organic, stone ground, whole wheat flour from Australia was close on 300 thb per 1kg. I used a small stand mixer, a table top oven, a plastic 5 litre mixing bowl (for the bread to rise twice) and 2 small loaf tins and that made about 1.2kg of bread dough. Recipes are freely available on the internet. The cost may be higher if you use imported flours from the internet. -
Politics Thai Opposition Slams Rally Figures for Encouraging Military Coup

The voters in the UK for example don't vote for a PM either, They vote for a political party, and the party that gains the most seats overall, then selects the PM from its own ranks, just as happens in Thailand. -

Which were NOT enough votes to form a government, majority or coalition. BTW do you own the PP? -

In a democracy you vote for a political party. The party that forms the government then chooses the PM. The voters ONLY vote for a political party. Yes, you must have been sleeping. -

Prayuth was far worse. He stoke the entire country at gun point. That is NOT democracy. -

But the Peoples Party did NOT have a majority of the seats, so they could NOT form a government, and no other party wanted to join a coalition with them. Don;t you have ANY idea of how democracy works? -
Each registered voter in NYC has one vote, and is entitled to vote for who THEY wish to vote for. Trump also has one vote. but not in NYC, so therefore he has no right to complain, whine or moan, just as you are doing. The voters of NYC decided who THEY wanted, not you or Trump either. It was their choice and they will have to live with it until the next mayoral election. snip from your post. "A total and complete justifiable rant". Actually both you and Trump are 100% wrong. It was "A total and completely unjustifiable rant". It is called the freedom of expression which is something that neither you nor Trump like. AFAIAC the voters could have elected Mickey Mouse, a little green man from Mars or the Man in the Moon. It is and was their choice, and theirs alone, and their choice alone to make.

And if the PM resigns from his post or is sacked from the position without dissolving parliament, what then? -
Poll If war breaks out with Cambodia what will you do?
billd766 replied to MalcolmB's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
If you want to stop a war. Put ALL the politicians and ALL their families, unarmed, in the front line and tell them the weapons are on the other side of the border. See how many of them really want to fight, and how many only want to fight with their mouths and other people bodies. -
I make 37 transfers a year from my Wise borderless account in the UK to my BKK bank account in Thailand. When I make a transfer, Wise tell me how much it will cost, how many thb I will get, the forex rate (which will be frozen until the transfer has been completed), the time and date when I can withdraw the funds from my BKK bank account. It also shows up as a an FTT in my bank book and on the BKK bank statements. I have had my Wise and BKK account running for nearly 7 years and only 1 small problem in the first year (easily sorted out with the Wise help centre.

Although an election must be held in 4 years, IF Labour decide to call for an election then an election can be held in less than that 4 year period. IMHO they would be foolish to do so, but the choice is theirs. As an Alternative, King Charles has the authority to dissolve Parliament, though I cannot remember any monarch ever doing so. -
Military Thai Air Force Ready to Defend Nation in 5 Minutes
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Back in the 1960s the QRA alert was for 2 aircraft fully fuelled and armed, on the QRA pan 24/7/365. That meant 2 aircrew and 1 ground crew team per 8 hour shift. Highly expensive in manpower and airframe time, as most of the time they were never called out. The nearest Thai airbase to the Myanmar border is at Nakhon Sawan, and is less than 100km away. I estimate that as about 20 minutes from the scramble call out. That assumes of course that there is 24/7/365 radar cover along all the Myanmar border. 5 minutes is a tad optimistic for an alert status, especially as Thailand is not officially at war with anyone, but possible sometimes. -

I have heard is not proof of anything. I have heard many things in my life but that certainly does not mean that they were all true. BTW. This is a public forum where anybody can post, so if you don't want to read my posts, you can always put me on your ignore list. -

I only check once a year, usually in Devember and save the bank/public holidays fo the following year. It helps with Immigration as well. -

But facts or links ARE needed for proof. The onus is on you to back up your words, not me. You claim it, you own it, you provide the links and and facts. And FYI, NO, I won't shut up. -

And you know and have proof of this how exactly? Were you present at the meeting or do you have first hand verifiable information. Do tell us all where your gem of information came from? After all, anybody can write anything on the social media, but proof of the allegations is a lot harder to get. -

You make a lot of noise but never seem to be able to back it up with facts or links. Do you actually have anything that you can take to a court and be proven beyond reasonable doubt?
