  1. And the Bangkok Post had this story yesterday, with the government furiously back pedalling and saying that the water splashing is for 3 DAYS only, and NOT for the much vaunted 3 WEEKS of the festival.
  2. Once again you pick out words but don't refute the text I wrote.
  3. But the investigation of the IDF by the IDF has already begun. I could probably write the result now but you would only call it BS. As for investigations by an external party. That will never be allowed by either the Israeli government or the IDF. They NEED to be able to control what they call information, but many other people call propaganda, which they can ONLY do, IF they have complete control. That is one reason that they are trying to remove Al Jazeera reporters from Gaza. https://rsf.org/en/103-journalists-killed-150-days-gaza-tragedy-palestinian-journalism#:~:text=The figure of 103 journalists, this continuing tragedy's appalling toll. At least 103 journalists have been killed by Israeli strikes in Gaza in the past five months, according to the tally of one of the deadliest ever wars for the media compiled by Reporters Without Borders (RSF). At least 22 of these journalists were killed in the course of their work, RSF has so far established. The figure of 103 journalists killed by the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) in five months of war in Gaza is a chilling one. Since 7 October, the day the war began, the names of the victims have been steadily added to this continuing tragedy’s appalling toll. Journalists working for TV, radio, print media and multimedia, photographers and camera operators, 91 men and 12 women journalists of all ages, all Palestinians, are among this war’s victims. They were killed in different places in Gaza, from the north to the south and including Khan Yunis, showing how no part of the Gaza Strip offers a refuge for journalists. At least 22 of these journalists were killed in the course of their work or because of their work, according to the information so far collected by RSF. Many of them were reporting in the field and were clearly identifiable as journalists. Others were killed by strikes that specifically targeted their homes. RSF has twice referred the crimes committed against journalists by Israel to the International Criminal Court. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_journalists_in_the_Israel–Hamas_war#:~:text=Casualties,-See also%3A List&text=As of 5 March 2024,over 136 UNRWA aid workers. As of 5 March 2024, over 31,000 people (30,228 Palestinian[10] and 1,410 Israeli[18]) have been reported as killed in the Israel–Hamas war, including 94 journalists (89 Palestinian, 2 Israeli and 3 Lebanese) and over 136 UNRWA aid workers.[19][20] On 7 October 2023, 1,139 Israelis and foreign nationals, including 764 civilians, were killed, and 248 persons taken hostage during the initial attack on Israel from the Gaza Strip.[11][21][22] Since then, over 30,228 Palestinians (the majority of whom were women and children) in the Gaza Strip have been killed according to the Gaza Health Ministry. The total death toll in Gaza is presumed to be higher than reported,[23][24] with thousands remaining unaccounted for, including those trapped under rubble. Yet only two Israeli journalists have been killed
  4. This Songkran is the same as all the other Songkran's. It is simply a way of making money, wasting billions of litres of water down the drain and bears no resemblance to the real Songkran. It appeals to stupid people, I know, I was one years ago in Bangkok and my early days in rural Thailand, and to children. I don't mind the children playing as it is fun for them.
  5. More unbelievable IDF BS, but only to be expected. One question I have is WHY was the drone operator tracking those 3 clearly marked as WCF cars in the first place?
  6. Is there something in the air or water in Phuket, that only affects certain farangs, irrespective of their nationality or age?
  7. Who, BTW was threatening police with a hatchet and a knife. Did you deliberately and "conveniently" forget that part?
  8. According to the OP the 2 sources came from Jane Prinsley and were published by "the JC" Having done an internet search for "the JC" or "JC", and getting no useful information, I then did a search for Jane Prinsley. I found her, and what a surprise, it seems as though she is a reporter for "the JC", which is actually "the Jewish Chronicle".
  9. Well if it wasn't the IDF it must have been Hamas in IDF uniform. That is what some posters here may want us heretic, unbelieving, terrorist supporters to believe.
  10. (Just another "regrettable incident') from the IDF I expect. I have no doubt that there will be an enquiry by the IDF, about the IDF, and nobody will be punished as usual. After all he was only a Palestinian, and nobody important. (Sarcasm mode off). The IDF who murdered him probably "thought" he was a Hamas terrorist or a Hamas supporter.
  11. Up here in rural Kamphaeng Phet, in the 'big' village 6 km away, diesel is 30.45 baht and we are about 350 km from Bangkok. I only buy 95 gasoline for my weed whacker in 200 baht lots. I will look tomorrow if I remember, and if I go into the village.
  12. Neither am I, at your so called response.
  13. And that is your best response. Nothing about 7 murdered people? Nothing about how they were targeted by the IDF? Nothing about the drone operators "thought'? Nothing about "I call BS'? Nothing about the chain of command not being followed? Just about one word that I wrote that YOU don't agree with. It is lucky that you could not read my first draft, nor could anybody else, or I would have been banned from ANN for life.
  14. You can call it what you like. but whatever you wish to call it, it is the truth. The WCK workers WERE targeted, even if the Israeli drone operator "thought" there was a Hamas terrorist in a car. A small convoy of 3 vehicles has given your military all the details and it has been approved at a far higher level than the drone operator. 1 They should NOT have been tracked in the first place. 2 They vehicles were clearly marked as WCF. 3 Just because the drone operator "thought" he saw a terrorist is NOT a reason to fire at an approved convoy. 4 At the very least. he should have called his supervisors, SNCO's and Officers to verify what was happening, and they in turn should have called in THEIR supervisors to verify what was happening, and if the 'thought' was genuine or not. 5 This was NOT a mistake, or an accident, or even to use the expression, a regrettable incident. It was a deliberately targeted murder of 7 innocent people. NO amount of words such as quote "I call BS" can excuse murder. Nor is the excuse "I was just following orders" valid either. The 7 people who were murdered in cold blood did NOT represent any threat to any Israeli forces anywhere.
  15. Israel had a lot of the worlds sympathy and understanding after the October 7th massacre. Their government has squandered it by what they have done since and are now becoming a pariah state across the world. Even President Biden has seemingly given them a stern warning/rebuke in the last day or so. https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-middle-east-68738452?src_origin=BBCS_BBC When you pizz off you largest supporter, either you are on a course to self destruction (which IMHO, Israel is on under Netanyahu) or your leadership is certifiably crazy and needs replacing now. When your leadership sanctions political assassinations such as killing an Iranian general in a 3rd country. you have to understand that there will be a payback coming sooner or later. When your leadership authorises assassinations of innocent civilians such as the 7 staff of the of the WCK you know that your country is in deep trouble. When fewer and fewer people worldwide don't believe any propaganda put out by your government or its military, you know your country is in big trouble. When hundreds of thousands of protestors in countries world wide including Israel itself, go on the streets to protest, you know your country is in big trouble.
  16. Having sprayed everything in sight with cypermethrin, who cares what it does to the fish people eat, the honey that comes from the bees etc? https://www.google.com/search?q=cypermethrin&rlz=1C1CHBF_enTH1087TH1088&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 Cypermethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid used as an insecticide on a large scale. Cypermethrin is highly toxic to fish, bees, and aquatic insects, according to the National Pesticides Telecommunications Network. It is found in many household ants and cockroach killers, including Raid and ant chalk.
  17. Thank you. I know we disagree on a lot of topics, but we also agree on many other topics.
  18. How was it a mistake? The IDF was informed about the vehicle and they even APPROVED the trip. So WHY was the IDF drone tracking that particular vehicle in the first place?
  19. IMO the drone operator and ALL his superiors right up to the murderous PM Netanyahu and all his murderous war cabinet should ALL be charged with premeditated murder, which is what it was, despite all the predictable denials from the IDF and the Israeli government. It is not as if the IDF had no idea of what was going on. They were informed and APPROVED every step of the way, and STILL the vehicle was deliberately targeted.
  20. "Concerned netizen" posters jumping the gun, AGAIN, and instantly blaming foreigners when they didn't have a clue WHO was driving the car. To quote Benny Hill, for a polite version. Sirry Iriots
  21. Of course he is entitled to his opinion. However I don't have to prove that he is wrong. He has claimed this and it is up to him to prove that he is right, with links and data, in exactly the same way that you, I or anyone else who makes a claim has to do. If he claims that this is his opinion only, that is what it is, simply his opinion, and needs no backup.
  22. Putin's official spokesman are you? Do you have a seat behind Putin at every meeting that he attends? Or is it simply your opinion and words with no facts to back it up? Why would he want something that is in another country that does not belong to Russia?
  23. Thank you. I have found over the years that it is easier to be polite and pleasant to all people. The more you understand that they have a job to do and let them get on with it. the easier it is for them and the more helpful they will be with, and for you. If somebody and or their trolley is in the way, make a joke of it and they will move themselves and their trolley out of the way. If something you want is in an aisle where they are restocking, ask politely if you can get to it yourself. Most of the time, for me at least, either they will bring it to me, or let me in and move the stuff out of the way. And always smile and say thank you. It cost nothing and they realise that somebody does notice and appreciate the work that they do. Perhaps it is just me but probably it is the way that my parents brought me up.
  24. I am not able bodied either. I have con arthritis in my left kneecap and use a walking stick. I also have a Zimmer frame with a seat. I suppose I can manage to walk about 100 metres before I need to stop and hold on to, or sit on the trolley. If I need something that I can't get to, I simply ask one of the staff and they get it for me. I always say thank you, and I always get a genuine smile in return. If what I want is not on the shelf/out of stock/awaiting a shelf refill, I just move on to the next item. It is so easy for everybody that way. However I live in rural Kamphaeng Phet, and not a tourist area. At most of the shops in the village the staff help me up and down steps and ramps, they also open doors for me and take the stuff out to the truck for me, all without asking.
