The Euros should pay for their own defense, and not depend on the US. They have plenty of money given by their generous support of Ukraine, so just spend it on their own military instead.

Don't include me in that. I knew all the bad things about Trump, but for all that he was a better option than HRC, Biden and now Harris. I'm on record on here as saying I'd have preferred Bernie over Trump in 2016.

I think most of us knew that the Afghan government was too corrupt and too ineffective to be considered as relevant. I also think some of us knew that the allied forces should never have been there after the Taliban was bombed to bits anyway, but that's water under the bridge now. Just a waste of western lives and treasure and giving false hope to the women of Afghanistan.

The rest of the world has had enough of America consuming more than many other countries put together, and trying to make them give up their dreams of a better life. It may have eluded Hamish de Bretton-Gordon that Guterres is representing ALL the UN members, and not just the ones acceptable to him.

Boo hoo. Guterres is secretary general for all UN members, not just the ones Zelensky approves of. Despite Zelensky thinking himself important he's just one leader of all the countries in the world.

I don't know that I agree with b. HRC almost won simply because she was the Democrat candidate, so I expect similar for Harris. The only question is whether enough in the swing states want a Democrat in the W H or hate Trump enough to vote for her. I'd have b/ as Harris. It's hard to believe they don't have anyone better than she.

If I thought the deity listened to mere humans I'd be on my knees praying for a Harris defeat. Hopefully it's a 2016 repeat. If Harris wins I'm stocking up the supplies for WW3 ensuing, or at least a major war in the ME, which would be almost as bad for Australasia.

You missed the part where he didn't start any wars. No Americans died because he went to war on BS like a few other presidents have done. Biden/ Harris may not have actually started one, yet, but they are up to their eyeballs in the 2 wars they are prolonging ( I'm classing Gaza/ the West Bank/ Lebanon as one conflict ).
