Given I had a few long term friendships end in enmity, so I don't believe we ever know the reality of another person, no matter how long we know them. On your last sentence I agree. I'm also very happy not to have left children to suffer. One of the puzzles of the entire situation is why those with children do so little to preserve the future for them. Perhaps they are like me and think there is nothing to be done about it, or they don't believe it at all. I don't think humans caused climate change, but I do believe it is happening and it's going to be very very bad for a really large number of people. While I think it's inevitable, there are many things we should be doing to prevent it causing as much chaos as it will if we do nothing. Those land slides are likely caused by cutting down all the trees, we should stop polluting the oceans and overfishing. They should stop burning the rain forest and planting palmoil trees or grass. Public transport should be useful, not an afterthought. People should not be building houses in fire zones or on flood plains. Etc.

It's not the moderators job to correct what the candidates say. That is up to the opposing participant to point out in response time. It's certainly biased when it's only done to one participant. It was a disgrace.

Exactly, which is why I said it was a mistake for Trump to play her game on an enemy station ( with an obviously biased moderator that was prepared to offer her support during the debate ). If he does decide to do another, the rules should require the moderators to not say anything other than ask the questions.

From my experience blame the bully culture for the nurse shortage. It was dire during my 10 years in the NHS. Couple that with the requirement for uni degree, poor pay, heavy workload, and lack of reward and it's inevitable that few want to be nurses now. Who are the bullies- nurse managers are. Would I recommend nursing to any young person choosing a future- not a chance.
