Not sure if you are serious about that, or not. If you are though, what, in your opinion, would it take for us humans to actually change nature? We can't even cure cancer, so IMO we sure ain't going to be able to stop the current doing whatever currents do. Canute comes to mind. IMO the biggest scam ever perpetrated by "scientists" is that they can actually change natural events, if only we do whatever they say and pay a lot more tax.

Apparently the earliest inhabitants of Britain crossed from Europe by walking across a frozen channel. I guess the migration will pass in the opposite direction as the few remaining inhabitants cross back to Europe on the trek to warmer climes. Perhaps humankind will end back where it came from in Africa. Pity that EVs don't work without electricity, so they will have to walk. No problem. They can ask Thailand to send a few boats to anchor off shore with their props sending the naughty water back in the proper direction. That'll soon have us warming up again, and then the scientists can get a few more years out of it. Never let a crisis go unused to make a bit of profit.

Trump and Harris in Debate Showdown Dispute
thaibeachlovers replied to Social Media's topic in World News
If they did that the debate will be forgotten by the media as they breathlessly wait for Trump to be marched off in handcuffs to incarceration in the most inaccessible federal penitentiary to share a cell with a very large man that hates Trump. -
I hope that is a misprint. Battleships became obsolete in WW2 due to being vulnerable to air power. IMO any large warship now is just a large slow moving target for missiles. Small, fast moving, stealthy, frigate sized vessels armed with missiles might be successful, but that would depend on the situation they were used in. Have we not had on the Ukraine subforum breathless accounts of Russian warships being sunk by missiles?

Of course not, as that might expose their scheme to import millions of aliens who have not a shred of loyalty to Britain, and protect them while they fundamentally change British culture. The government, IMO, created this situation by not stopping the illegals, and by pandering to them once in Britain. Now that the entirely expected backlash has begun, turning the full force of Britain's police against British people to support NON British people, Something is rotten in the state of Britain and the smell is coming from number 10.

Did you even read the bit you actually quoted? Was I talking about OTHER debates? -

If that is representative of the Dems attack on Trump he doesn't have much to worry about. -

Which is why Trump should refuse to do the debate. IMO he will lose whatever he does. Either he is on form and is accused of insulting women, or his side will say he was too easy on her. He has more to lose by participating than to opt out. I doubt the debate would change anyone's mind about whom to vote for, short of her face mask ( think Mission Impossible ) falling off and revealing she is just Obama in drag. IMO Trump should man up and refuse outright to play her game. Let her moan and Dems say nasty things- we've heard it all before. -
Israel Hamas War the Widening Middle East Conflict
thaibeachlovers replied to Social Media's topic in The War in Israel
IMO the negotiations are a dead duck for now. If the protestors manage to get an election and the removal of netanyahu and his cabal from power they may resume. IMO it's not looking good for the survival prospects of any hostages still living. -
Israel Hamas War the Widening Middle East Conflict
thaibeachlovers replied to Social Media's topic in The War in Israel
Perhaps he was a moderate compared to those that will take over from him. If israel wants to escalate the conflict to a real war they are taking the necessary actions to do so. When it all goes wrong for israel sometime in the future, perhaps many years from now, they can look back on this conflict as the reason for that happening, IMO. -

If not wanting a ceasefire is the strategy of one side it seems logical to kill the negotiators and then they can say "we wanted to negotiate a ceasefire, but they didn't turn up at the meeting". -
LOL. You effort to manufacture a reason for Britain prolonging a war that is destroying Ukraine is noted. Britain has a much longer and historical association with India, but they didn't rush down to give them support and millions of pounds worth of weapons when they were fighting China. They also had a historical and cultural association with Hong Kong for over a hundred years, but they abandoned them to the Chinese with barely a wimper. The only "ties" Britain has with other countries are the ones Britain wants. The rest can go hang themselves for all Britain cares, IMO.

Seems we have someone on the forum that doesn't realise that Russia has nuclear weapons. If Russia were to "go down" Europe and probably large parts of the US will be reduced to ash. The Hiroshima bomb was peanuts compared to what they invented since. Look up hydrogen bomb on google.

I think if that happened locally a few husbands/ fathers would soon sort the situation. In more woke places a spare room can surely be found for persons identifying as a cat, a dog or a different gender. If they have a bathroom for disabled, just change the sign on the door. It's not as though there will be enough of them to need a larger room.

Pattaya Plans Red Line Monorail to Boost Urban Mobility
thaibeachlovers replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
When there are no accessible places for the disabled to go, it would be somewhat pointless installing such. Accessibility has to be everything or it doesn't work, and the only way to make that happen is for the government to pass laws to make all buildings accessible. Do you want to make people in wheelchairs mingle with the traffic, given the pavements in Pattaya are impassable for such? -

It is indeed and obviously time for a few more, trite, banal and unimaginative 'moaning about them' comments. -
Pattaya rebranding as family-friendly destination to boost tourism
thaibeachlovers replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
In the 70s Singapore was almost totally fun devoid, and the brothels were kept well away from the tourists. The only place that was a bit of fun was Bugis Street, and when they closed that and cracked down on all that sort of thing they found that tourists don't like fun devoid places and that shopping isn't a tourist attraction. Got so bad they had to loosen up a bit.
