I was stopped on my wife's Click by cops in Chiang Mai at a routine stop ( Thais being stopped too ). Wife forgot to renew the rego so I had to pay 200 baht fine. The cop was polite and did not try to extort me. I made wife pay me back, which she didn't like much.

You are more likely to only meet the pleasant ones in Thailand. The unpleasant ones have no problem getting it for free in NZ, so why would they go to Thailand? They'd likely have zero interest in temples.

Just getting their visas ( were they on a visa or visa exempt ) revoked would be no punishment. They be down the pub bragging to their mates how they beat up a Thai cop if allowed to just go home.

I already said that the vdo looks like some amateur civilian hiding from possibly getting shot using their phone camera. I'll withdraw that if it is claimed by the cops that they took it. IMO if it was a cop the assailant was lucky to not be shot.

OK, but the guy attacking the cop is IMO at a minimum an idiot. Where did he think he was? Presumably back in NZ where he could get away with breaking traffic laws. Doesn't look like the other guy was involved other than handling the cop's gun, so he might not be an idiot, except for riding a m'bike for which he will likely not get insurance if if an accident.

??????????????? The vdo looks like a phone camera vdo being taken by a civilian that was hiding from possibly being attacked, or shot. Looks to me the cop was on his own, and the other cops turned up after it was over. How does discharging a weapon render it harmless? One removes the magazine and the chambered round to make a gun harmless, not firing a bullet which might ricochet and injure a bystander. Whether he threatened them or not is irrelevant. If one is a visitor in a country which isn't populated by the woke and with an ineffectual police force like back home ( where I have seen the cops laughed at because the scum thugs know that the cops are ineffectual and won't do anything about it ), one doesn't attack the cops after evading a traffic stop and breaking traffic laws, unless they want to be in strife. The guy attacking the cop was lucky not to be shot. I've seen plenty like them in Pattaya where they hire a large m'bike and speed as if they own the road. They don't impress me in the slightest. I just hope the NZ government doesn't waste any effort trying to get them off.

I bet they would. NZ seems as if it's full of scum thugs that flout the law, and think they can get away crimes, because they can, if they are in a gang. The guys in the incident are no doubt a product of the absence of consequences for behaving badly which was a hallmark of the previous government. I hope they do get a long spell in a Thai jail, which will be more justice than what they'd get in NZ. I never worried about my safety in Thailand, but in NZ it's a constant concern. Hopefully the new government will follow through on it's election promises, but before they can do so they'll have to get some real men in the police force, and give them the support they need to get rid of the scum thugs.

IMO it's all part of israeli propaganda, which tries to negate any story portraying the "heroes" of the IDF in a bad light, by deflecting away from the report about israeli atrocities and crimes, and making it about the reporters instead. Luckily such tactics are not working any more. We know the crimes carried out by the IDF from the reporting from Al Jazeera, which israel is powerless to control, and thank the deity for that, or the reality of IDF cruelty would never be exposed.

I have to assume that the woman in the photo is Benn, and if she thinks wearing a medical uniform while demonstrating against something that most of us need is a good idea, IMO she deserves to be arrested for impersonating a professional medical person.

IMO parading around in a shirt saying "just stop oil" marks one as an idiot, and if any doctors think that is a sensible thing they are suspect of being too stupid to practice. Imagine if their wish came true and oil stopped tomorrow. By Christmas most of human life would have ended, given that oil is used to grow most of the food we eat, and make the medicine they prescribe.
