  1. It's good to see a sensible post. Just be prepared for the attacks for not supporting israel.
  2. Yes, that would be stupid, but he may decide that NATO doesn't want WW3 over a few planes and do it anyway.
  3. Great. Bring it on. While you and I agree on many things, Trump is where we part ways. I just can't stand the idea that Harris may be POTUS by this time next year, and it looks like Trump is going to be the only candidate for the GOP, so it'll be on him to stop her. ( obviously I don't have much faith that Biden will last much longer than the ceremony if he wins ).
  4. Hmmmmm, wonder who is going to be maintaining them. Norway can donate all the F16s it wants if they can't be fixed, and it probably takes longer to train the guys that keep them flying than it does to cross train pilots to fly them. I wonder if they'll try and sneak some Norwegian mechanics in. Plus, they require lots of spares, so is Norway donating them as well? Can't fly if a part is broken. Computer systems? I have no doubt F16s have lots of computerisation, so do they have the specialists for them, also such as communications, weapons, protection systems. Are the runways fit for purpose? It's never as simple as just handing over the keys and waving the planes goodbye. BTW, all Russia has to do is send a missile or 50 to damage the runways before they land. Can't land one if there are a few potholes. It's not like they can build dozens of runways and they can't be disguised under a couple of cammo nets. I could be wrong, but IMO this may turn out to be Leopard tanks version 2. Never mind, just keep taking the pills and it'll all be over soon enough.
  5. I can only assume you are baiting me and so I will not continue this silly exchange. Bye.
  6. This isn't a war, which is between two sides capable of attacking and defending themselves. This is just a slaughter of a captive population that is trapped and helpless.
  7. Fight to the death implies all the enemy have died. A winner is normally decided when one side surrenders or negotiates, but Hamas is unlikely to surrender. Paradise awaits the martyrs and all that. So, if Hamas does not surrender or negotiate, and it's likely they will not, at what point will israel "win"? It's highly unlikely all would be killed, as they have about a million probably willing to join them.
  8. You said "fight to the death". That has never to my knowledge happened. An example of that is what I want you to provide.
  9. If either Biden or Trump win in November, I doubt either will try to force israel to remove itself from the West Bank. Perhaps in the future, a couple of generations on, there will be a POTUS that is not afraid of the Jewish establishment in the USA and will end illegal israeli settlements, but not in my lifetime I fear.
  10. Israel is busily creating at least 2 million people that want revenge on israel. The wind has been well and truly sown and the whirlwind is coming for israelis. IMO israelis will never know peace for generations to come. Welcome to the forever war. Perhaps in the future, a new generation of israelis will ask their parents why they have to become soldiers, when it was possible once upon a time to live in peace. I wonder what their parents will say- will they think it was worth it to massacre Palestinians in Gaza?
  11. UN forces between israel and Lebanon have not stopped that conflict. I think their role is to ask the sides to stop fighting and be nice, and when that doesn't work they go and have a cup of tea.
  12. I know of no such situation, ever. Can you provide an example of that?
  13. Man, that has to be one of the biggest scams in history, LOL! Did no one think to change a computer's clock to 23:59:59 31 Dec 1999, and see what happened a second later?
  14. Get back to me when I need to travel by canoe instead of my car. Till then it's irrelevant to the average person. It's not like anyone can actually do anything about it.
  15. Soooooo, I'm going to lose ( or gain ) a few seconds before I die. Should I be building a survival shelter?
  16. Laura Paddison and Rachel Ramirez need to learn to write in plain English.
  17. You are obviously far better off in Oz than I am across the ditch. By the time I pay my rent and buy food, pay full price for Dr visits, expensive dentists, car costs etc, the idea that I could afford a trip to LOS is just a dream.
  18. In NZ it was different. There the saying was Q How do you know if a plane has arrived from Pommyland? A it keeps whining when the engines stop.
  19. Actually it's brilliant at providing societal support. The NHS, tax free threshold for income, free transport in London over 60, free prescriptions over 60, flats for the poor. I had it sweet once I turned 60, though I never understood why the largess started at 60 and not the retiring age. If I had liked living in the UK I'd be there now, but they have a pension linked to payments ( I only had 10 years contribution ), while NZ gives the full amount even if never worked a day in the life. Try living in NZ on a pension- tax from dollar 1, pay full price for GP visits and prescriptions, hugely expensive dentists, and social housing is a very bad joke, even if can get anything at all. Old people do have a card that gives us free travel on buses between 9 am and 3 pm ( at least that is what it was last time I went on a bus ), but the bus service ain't that great so a car is pretty essential, with all the expense of that. If people in the UK woke up they might realise that they ain't as badly off as they might be.
  20. I might agree with that as long as you included "or Biden" at the end of your sentence.
  21. I do like your posts. It's good to read a poster with common sense, something apparently lacking in city councils and governments of western countries. I have to pay taxes, but it irks me that our taxes are wasted on social idiocy and policies that do nothing for society in general, but get the woke vote.
  22. I'm puzzled about the "rights" that refers to. If a gender has "rights" what "rights" do I as a male person have that are different from the "rights" of a female person? Are not the "rights" of humans applicable to both genders? Strange then that I lived so many years and never realised I had any "rights" at all, other than the "right" to pay taxes and be discriminated against in a divorce.
  23. IMO there is nothing to consider. If a person is born with male chromosomes they are of the male gender, and visa versa. The question of whether they can live like the opposite gender is a different matter and so far that is accepted by most, in western countries. I doubt they'd try it in Afghanistan though.
  24. In what alternate universe would it be appropriate for an obviously biased judge to be part of that debate?
  25. Excellent move. Kids that age should be out playing, not hiding in their bedrooms talking to fake friends on line.
