IMO you are wrong. Trump didn't cause the degradation of the institutions, he was a result of the degradation of the institutions in Washington by the professional politician class. He was elected because he was the only candidate to accuse Washington of being a "swamp", and all the other ones were part of the swamp. In the absence of no good options the least harmful option is the best. I agree, but Trump IMO is less bad than Biden. The problem for the Dems is easily solved- find a decent candidate instead of stumblin' bumblin' Joe who talks to dead people. IMO it's appalling that Biden is unopposed as Democrat candidate.

I've never worked for family or friends, as I sometimes take my own advice. I did go wrong on the "never lend money to family or friends" though and got royally screwed by a 30 year friend- definitely an ex friend now. If you want all happiness and light and singing kumbayah around the camp fire you are sure on the wrong forum.

If I could and it was a choice between Trump and Biden, I'd vote for Trump, because I think Biden has been a worse president than Trump was. I suppose those that would vote for Biden think the same though visa versa. If Bernie was the Democrat candidate, I'd vote for him, despite him being very old.

Don't let them put you in hospital then, or at least take out a Do not Resuscitate order ( I have ), or your last days might be with broken ribs ( from cardiac compressions ) and full of tubes, hooked up to machines. Nothing beautiful about dying in ICU, especially if they have to pull the plug to let your body stop working after determining that "you" has departed. Obviously death of the body is no unique experience to me ( many deaths in hospital are expected, so not in ICU ), though I was never there for the last breath- many other patients to look after as well. I don't recall any dying surrounded by loving relatives- usually called after. Might be different in a private hospital with a private room, not on a ward with many other patients in the room
