  1. Thank you for injecting some common sense into the thread. The only way to "eradicate" Hamas is to eradicate the Palestinian population, IMO. Meanwhile, israel has created millions of new Hamas supporters, and every day more are vowing revenge against israel. The world is watching and will not forget.
  2. The airbursts can be seen on VDO of the conflict. When I first saw that I thought they were using incendiaries ( though white phosphorus is itself an incendiary ). If it was Hamas using it I'm sure your reaction would be different.
  3. https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/human-rights-watch-says-israel-used-white-phosphorous-gaza-lebanon-2023-10-12/ Human Rights Watch said it verified videos taken in Lebanon on Oct. 10 and Gaza on Oct. 11 showing "multiple airbursts of artillery-fired white phosphorus over the Gaza City port and two rural locations along the Israel-Lebanon border". White phosphorus is considered an incendiary weapon under Protocol III of the Convention on the Prohibition of Use of Certain Conventional Weapons. The protocol prohibits using incendiary weapons against military targets located among civilians, although Israel has not signed it and is not bound by it.
  4. LOL. Do you want to walk that back now? The israeli military didn't agree, and the border remains closed.
  5. Perhaps McD's branches in Saudi will be a bit short of customers now!
  6. If there are any unexploded bombs, the israelis may find them being returned to them ( if they invade ) as anti tank IEDs.
  7. Intensive care- one to one nursing, machines, lots of IV fluids and IV drugs. Probably on TPN. Physio, etc etc etc.
  8. Good for him. From about 17 minutes. https://www.aljazeera.com/program/talk-to-al-jazeera/2023/10/14/maldives-president-elect-indian-troops-out-a-week-after-new-term
  9. Here we go again. Why do young people think insurance is not necessary when traveling, or in cases like this let it lapse or take out inadequate insurance? I thought education now was supposed to be the best ever in history. Seems not.
  10. https://www.timesofisrael.com/a-tear-in-the-tent-the-us-jews-who-are-protesting-israel-following-hamas-massacres/ Galvanized by groups including ‘IfNotNow’ and ‘Jewish Voice for Peace,’ thousands of US Jews have denounced the Jewish state almost immediately after slaughter of 1,200 Israelis NB, bolding is by the site, not myself.
  11. Yes, the conflict has expanded to the northern border, and Iran is threatening to get involved.
  12. I will not disagree with that. Arab terrorists have apparently killed more Arabs than westerners in their decades long campaign, so why would they hold back now? However, israel seems to be playing by their playbook and is alienating western once supporters, never mind the millions of Muslims around the world wanting revenge on israel.
  13. Seems biden is no longer in lockstep with netanyahu, but I wonder what Satterfield is able to do to stop the slaughter? I fear very little if anything. https://www.state.gov/appointment-of-david-satterfield-as-special-envoy-for-middle-east-humanitarian-issues/ President Biden has appointed former Ambassador David Satterfield as the Special Envoy for Middle East Humanitarian Issues. Special Envoy Satterfield will lead U.S. diplomacy to urgently address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, including work to facilitate the provision of life-saving assistance to the most vulnerable people and promote the safety of civilians, in coordination with the United Nations and U.S. partners.
  14. Biden must realise that supporting israel unconditionally may not come across well in an election cycle, as he is now walking back his support. Reportedly saying israel should not occupy Gaza, and apparently wanting a "path to a homeland" or words to that effect. Source, Al Jazeera Bit cheeky though as the US has been complicit in not achieving that in the past 30 years. Meanwhile, in New York https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20231015-shared-grief-divided-opinion-on-israel-among-jewish-new-yorkers Friday evening hundreds of New Yorkers gathered in Brooklyn in solidarity against Israel's offensive -- which has killed more than 2,200 Palestinians -- wielding a banner emblazoned with the message "Jews Say Stop Genocide Against Palestinians."
  15. I think it's great. Too many buying something with blatantly obvious problems, and then complaining about those obvious problems.
  16. Perhaps they should blame themselves for buying a vehicle with obvious problems regarding charging. 55555555555555555
  17. Indeed, against labour and all its fellow travelers, along with all the other voters that were "against" labour and wished to consign it to the dustbin of history. We won, ding dong labour is gone and good riddance to it. It's time to rid ourselves of it's vile anti farmer policies.
  18. and what connection do illegal immigrants have to the UK that they should be able to choose their safe haven? The western world has gone mad, IMO.
  19. Labour got the boot, labour was humiliated, good riddance to labour. What more do you need to know?
  20. Has israel made a mistake with a ground invasion? https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/oct/14/israeli-ground-offensive-in-gaza-faces-physical-and-political-risks-hamas Hasan Alhasan, a Middle East expert at the International Institute of Strategic Studies, went further, asking at an online seminar on Friday whether “there is any viable military strategy short of a total ethnic cleansing of Gaza that would lead to a permanent defeat of Hamas” and if “Israel is walking into a trap set by Hamas”. Alhasan’s argument is that Hamas can “regenerate in a generation or two” because it can ultimately draw strength from Gaza’s 2.3 million-strong population, with new recruits nurtured on memories of a violent past. A similar point was made earlier this week by the former MI6 chief Sir Alex Younger: “You cannot kill all the terrorists without creating more terrorists.”
  21. What is being worked, and what does that mean anyway?
  22. Is nursing face to face enough to qualify? However, the job often involved other parts of the anatomy than the face. It was a mistake to start doing it, but in the long run I saw parts of the world I'd never have visited otherwise and I only discovered Thailand when traveling to/ from Saudi.
  23. According to wikipedia that would be correct. Loved the series and I should watch it again sometime.
  24. I met many women in Thai bars and none were "broken" by any definition. Some see a BG and see exploitation, others see a BG and see a nice person that wants to have fun and make money.
