How would you like it if people thousands of miles away decreed that YOU should lose your land so other people could live on it, and then those people made your neighbours refugees so they could have more land? This is not a one sided problem. I doubt there is any hope for a solution now, as there is far too much hate against israel from all over the world, and as long as the US unconditionally supports israel the conflict will continue, and lets not forget that there are a lot of Muslims out there, and many of them ( after this conflict ) hate israelis and are starting to hate Americans as well. Massive demonstrations against israel and america in many Arab countries, as well as demonstrations in support of Palestinians in western countries, including Jews doing a sit down protest in the US congress building. The conflict is already spilling over with attacks from Lebanon and also apparently from Yemen. It's not going to get settled any time soon, so expect the nightly news to be full of pictures of dead in the future. Also, if OPEC nations turn off the oil like they did in the 1970s, things will get really dire for the west.

If they ain't trying to bomb civilians they ain't doing a very good job with those precision bombs- over 1,000 dead children say so. Outside the fence might be safe, but israel won't let them leave.

Given that most if not all Gazans by now probably support Hamas, that will be a tough call to prove the aid is not going to "Hamas". Perhaps aid will only be allowed for children under 6 years old. Will it be OK if medical supplies are used to treat wounded Hamas fighters, or are they to be barred from hospitals?

and how many will die before any aid gets anywhere in Gaza? Be interesting to see if israel bombs the convoys, though even they may realise that would not be a good idea. Of course they could, and then claim that Hamas blew them up.

I doubt they want any aid going through, but need to look as though they care, and biden needed something to "prove" his trip wasn't just a waste of jet fuel ( it was IMO ). If I could vote in the US and the dems actually opposed israel, I'd vote for them just on that, but they are cosy with the israelis as the GOP is, so it doesn't matter which party one votes for on the Palestinian issue- they get screwed whichever party wins.

It is surely a sad state of affairs that either party is so bereft of up and coming talent that they have to put up 2 geriatrics, one of whom has too much baggage and the other that can barely speak coherently. Something has gone very, very wrong in US politics, as evidenced by their inability to find a speaker acceptable to both sides ( plus the Dems as I believe they get to vote on the speaker as well ). I grew up naively believing that humans were mostly good, but have come to realise that most, IMO, are bad, and in some cases vile. Seems to me that the bad guys are winning. Had I died of cancer 15 years ago instead of choosing to be mutilated, I'd have died with my illusions intact.

As I said before, it doesn't matter now who fired the rocket, as it has been the excuse many countries needed to condemn israel for the conflict, and they are condemning israel. The hospital catastrophe has been a catalyst for opposition to israel world wide.
