LOL. Scientists have got it wrong as long as there have been scientists. Science is too primitive at this stage to know much about the universe and how it works. Much is guesswork, based on unproven theories. I know the earth is curved because I can see that for myself on the ocean horizon. Don't need a scientist to tell me it's round.

We believe what seems the better over the not so convincing. I just don't believe that my car is warming the planet. I prefer the theory posited in the movie over something touted by rich people out to make money off it.

and that's what it's all about- MONEY. Using the current warming phase of climate to scare people into thinking EVs can save them, and then minting it from new industries set up to take advantage of the sheeple rushing to buy EVs.

See the movie "The great global warming swindle". The evidence they presented seems more logical to me than my car is heating up the planet.

In your opinion, given you present no proof they were wrong. Al Gore made a movie predicting all sorts of things and he was wrong too, IMO.

I never said scientists predicted cooling. There was talk of it that I remember. In the 60s a teacher told us that all the oil would run out in 20 years. People get stuff wrong all the time, and having a degree in science doesn't make them infallible. I've known stupid people that call themselves scientists.

and it will keep warming till it doesn't, or all life on the planet is exterminated. Governments have apparently known about the effects of warming ( stronger storms, drought, floods etc ) for decades, yet have done sod all to protect against such events. Shame on them all.

I never said anything about "increased solar output". If you think there is another heat source that is warming the planet, do tell us about it. The sun is the only one I know about.

I am happy to not have had any kids because they cost a lot of money and I don't need the government telling me how to bring them up. I've never accepted the usual dictat that kids are special. I was never treated as special when I was one, and would not treat any that I was in charge of as special.

My father was a terrible parent, and I probably was saved by being sent away to boarding school for most of my school years. We do as was done to us. I would have been a terrible parent in my 20s to 50s. Having learned a lot of life lessons by then, I would have been a really good parent in my 60s had I had one or two, but by then I had zero interest in being a parent.

IMO that is 100% BS. I haven't seen much activity by governments at all. I don't count the IMO fraudulant carbon credit get rich scheme as "activity". They could have used the covid lockdowns to build railways to replace domestic flights and did nothing. In fact they have welcomed the return of flights. They could be building nuclear power plants and have not done so. More like getting rid of the few that exist ( I'm not including France in that as they have a large nuclear power infrastructure, but have had it for many years ). All smoke and mirrors, IMO.

Back in the 80s, as I remember it, they were saying the planet was going to get colder, not hotter. As for MMCC, a very interesting movie came out some years ago ( The great global warming swindle ) and I prefer to believe it's viewpoint over the MMCC theory. How do you see the word "fraud" and come up with "conspiracy"? IMO it's not a conspiracy, but rather rich people using a naturally occurring climate change to get even richer. It's almost always about money when things are going wrong, as IMO they relish disasters, which make them more wealthy. BTW, oil companies do whatever makes a profit, which does not necessarily involve conspiracies.

You obviously haven't actually read any of my posts as I never said that global temperatures are not increasing- you are making that up, again. MMCC is IMO a fraud believed by millions. Humans are susceptible to frauds as proven by their lemming like behaviour. The global financial crisis was a fraud by the financial community, IMO, and affected many millions of us, but would not have happened if people had had any sense. If something is too good to be true it likely isn't. Does Bernie Madoff ring any bells. Countless such frauds throughout history.

What has a comic to do with what I said? Doesn't matter whether climate change is natural or not. It is happening and we had better prepare for it or join the dinosaurs in history. Personally, I think Gaia is using it to destroy humanity for abusing the planet, but I'll hopefully be long gone before the real destruction begins. Whatever the truth, does humanity deserve to survive given how bad a species we are?

US women already had the option of traveling to a state that does allow abortions. Anyway, good on Mexico. IMO abortion should be available on a walk in, no questions asked basis for any female of any age. Lets reduce the world's population by any means possible. Way too many of us polluting the planet already.

I saw that on Al Jazeera. He wasn't convicted because he refused to testify, but because he ignored the summons to go before the committee. He could have refused to answer their questions, and not be convicted, but he should have turned up. Apparently he made a mistake and will pay for that. When Trump wins he'll surely be pardoned. Anyway, he's probably going to appeal it up to the supreme court, so may not spend any time in jail.

Three centuries is what it took to be resolved, so you can imagine just how profound it was.

I will agree with you that climate is changing. Always has, always will. Where we part ways is if we can change it by taxes, carbon credits ( 55555555555555555 ),windmills and EVs. IMO no we can't. Suck it in and do something to prepare for it.
