Why would I be concerned about something that will happen long after I'm dead and burnt? I did my bit for the future of humanity by not having children to exploit and pollute the planet, and I see no reason to do anything more. After all, I'm not flying around in a private jet to talk talk conferences about climate change, and I drive a minimal distance given the cost of petrol these days. Personally, if talking about carbon footprint, I must be almost at the level of insignificant output. My electricity comes from hydro, and my travel amounts to average 20 km a week.

Given that neither you nor any other poster on the side of MMCC are able to give me any example of what is being done I can only assume that you don't know of anything either. I know that sea level rise where I live is measured in millimeters per year, and I can see for myself that the rise is insignificant in 60 years. Is it your contention that sea level rises higher in certain parts of the planet from other parts of the planet?

There was a 3M store in Central Airport last time I was there.

Lamphun is only 1/2 hour from C M, and the most interesting route is along the big trees. Can catch a songtheaw from the market. Used to be a small bus too, perhaps still going. Otherwise big bus from bus station down the expressway. Not noted for 5 star hotels and there is one ancient temple to look at. Not a place to see by walking, so rented car perhaps. If having a rental, can go to see temple that was in the Rambo movie. High on a hill with great views. Temple of the footprint is below. Best combined with a trip around the MHS loop. Don't know if buses are available the entire loop, and not at all from MHS along the northern route. That was by van only. I know a songtheaw from C M passes by the Doi Inthanon turn off. Frankly, I can't see any benefit from trying to use buses, as most of the sights are off the main roads.

Rubbish. There are plenty of things individuals can do without Big Brother making them. The best thing any individual can do is not have kids to pollute the world more. If the world's population was about 3 billion instead of 8 and rising the problem likely would not have been blamed on human activity.

I don't have kids, but if they murdered someone with a car I probably would tell the cops. I would also consider that I had failed to bring them up properly if they were stealing cars.

Given that the human race depends on industrialization to survive, what is the alternative? Given that most of the human race depends on diesel power to grow and transport food, what is the alternative? Given that millions depend on tourism to survive, what is the alternative to planes? Given that most of our products are transported on oil burning ships, what is the alternative?

As a % of the youth how many did that? I'm not saying that none are doing anything, only that I haven't seen any doing so.
