  1. Possibly because rational people fairly rapidly realised that Mr Trump's immigration control policies are based on xenophobia and racial hatred. Misusing a law dating from the 1780s, (utterly discredited when last used against Americans of Japanese origins), will allow him to circumvent what feeble efforts Congress may attempt to moderate this racist zeal.
  2. Well apart from: Canada taking and sheltering your diplomats when the US Embassy was seized in Teheran, NATO invoking article 5 in the treaty when you were attacked on 9/11, Canada taking the stranded/diverted aircraft and passengers, many countries expending their blood and treasure (including Denmark and Canada) in your various foreign interventions in the Middle East when asked... More recently European acquiescence to American led sanctions on Russia, Iran, North Korea to name a few. We could go back further - Korea, most of Western Europe and the Commonwealth, Vietnam - Australia and New Zealand. Funny how the same names come up isn't it?
  3. The "infobahn"does not reach, for example, into Myanmar/Burma, and is heavily controlled in countries such as China. Intenet access is not readily available in many parts of the developing world. Transistor radios are a readily available means of receiving broadcasts.
  4. The latest video evidence I have seen confirms it is round: https://www.facebook.com/share/r/16Pqibd4gd/
  5. Are there enough Hattie Jacques and James Robertson Justices available to run our hospitals - they haven't been run effectively since the likes of them were replaced by managers!😀
  6. Manchester City Council (Labour run) currently has a funding "gap" of £20 million, projected to rise to £46 million over two years. Bristol City Council (Greens and Lib Dems) has a current shortfall of £51 million. Hardly economic power houses to make defence industries quake!
  7. All three of which are 1) small enough to not be able to fight back, 2) are English speaking so don't test his linguistic skills (doesn't that rather foxy Melanie Jolly sound good with her "French accent"), 3) and will be of interest to his billionaire backers!
  8. He is, I believe, in Poole. A couple of quid should get him a bus ticket to Bournemouth, or if he has a hankering for the exotic, Swanage. Culture - Dorchester (Hardy country and all that), or to really extend his horizons Weymouth! PS: if you go to Weymouth don't go to Portland, if you are depressed it will finish you off!
  9. It may come as a surprise, I grant you, but it is possible that every decision made away from the United States is not about Mr Trump. Mind you, the thought that the United States, under Mr Trump, is perhaps not the most reliable of allies may have weighed upon the decision.
  10. Yes, well, she does rather live up to the blonde bimbo image!
  11. Possibly you need it's (Portugal's) cash, and that of other countries, to facilitate the programme to build what is a ridiculously expensive aircraft, which has very high maintenance requirements demanding extensive and vulnerable ground facilities. It is very difficult to imagine why a small country on the edge of the Iberian Peninsula needs them anyway.
  12. Why should the Swiss, for example, pay off the USA's debt?
  13. It will certainly help Mr Trump to maintain the fiction that the USA (and by definition him, after all, it is all about him) is being victimised!
  14. Why not, they've already been receiving some very valuable free publicity - and of course they are a great American institution.
  15. Which one of you is Norman Bates and which one is "mother"?
  16. I would suggest that if you asked the same question of many in the Americas, Europe and much of Asia and Africa they would be equally dumbfounded!
  17. Well, since it purports to be the average IQ in Thailand, when "extrapolated across the population as a whole" it says that some have an IQ over 89, some below 89, and the average is 89! Lord give me strength, a particularly feeble attempt at racist trolling, which says rather a lot about your own IQ! Stick to the fantasies about foursomes with escorts mate!
  18. No, not really, I just thought it would be fun to see the "gymnastic display" it evinced!
  19. Is there actually any proof that George Soros is funding arson attacks on Tesla showrooms, or is it just a case of " everyone knows"?
  20. I know nothing about marketing, advertising and the cost of "celebrity endorsements" for cars, and specifically electric cars, in the US market. Bear in mind it is a very large market, 300 million plus people, 278 million registered vehicles Purely coincidentally, Elon Musk reportedly donated 100 million dollars to Mr Trumps political campaign funds, and purely coincidentally his electric car brand received some remarkable advertising and endorsement from the countries No1 car salesmen on the White House Lawn yesterday. Is $100 million a fair price for that exposure - let us not consider that he will likely get it back in tax breaks and personal tax cuts!
  21. 1) Doesn't he have a suit? 2) Shades of the "Kommandobefehl" of 1942. That ended well for Wilhelm Keitel, Alfred Jodl and several others
  22. The Police Station (known in Northern Ireland as Police Barracks) was attacked with a very large bomb carried in the front bucket of a digger, which breached the security fence. The expectation was that there would be policemen in the building. The remains of the building were then machine gunned with a Soviet 12.7mm machine gun ( the equivalent of a .50 Browning machine gun). The bullets from that weapon would have passed through the building and carried on for hundreds of metres with sufficient velocity to further penetrate buildings and kill. There were a number of dwellings near the Police Barracks. The 4 dead PIRA were loading the 12.7mm MG into a van to escape when they were hit. The rules for opening fire were strict, but they allowed soldiers to fire when the terrorists were clearly armed, and were preparing to fire, firing or had just fired and were carrying the weapons. The "East Tyrone Brigade" had been responsible for a number of attacks, including, regularly, the murder of off duty policemen and soldiers, and of course many civilians. They had carried out several "spectaculars", Loughgall was their last one. They were caught. There is a phrase -" big boy's rules".
  23. I will try to help, although I doubt it will do any good. First you suggested that Main Stream Media Sites should be closed down, immediately. You then said that "free speech is the antidote". There is the irony, the complete contradiction in the two statements. If you close down MSM sites, then you are, rather by definition, denying free speech. Unless of course you are suggesting that freedom of speech should only apply to certain sites?
