The thai law requires a affirmation of marriage which is then to be translated into Thai, that is all the foreigner needs..the thai requires her ID card and maybe her housepapers and can get married at any amphur for 500 baht

Haven't got any links but am pretty sure the Social security is for the 4 Thai Employees who have to be employed per Foreigner (per Work Permit), whether he is an Owner or Employee. The Social Security is not for the Foreigner, it is purely for the Thai's.

The Social Security is paid purely for free Hospital Treatment for Thai's, when required. I don't think there are any other benefits available.

OP it sounds most likely like your memory is on its way out...but to be definately sure and if you are a bit savvy then i suggest you strip it down to the motherboard then start adding stuff one at a time making sure you try all RAM banks until you find the problem if you dont finds the problem and you are at the point where you have rebuilt the PC then it is most likely the motherboard itself..

If i was you i woul dget on th ephone and explain this to them..i very very much doubt they will issue a emergency passport as they are for people who have lost theirs and need to get home in a hurry, the fact that you are in the country of your residence and not in a emergency apart from to go to thailand means it will be the big no no for you...

Just phone them and explain they might be sympathetic and hurry it for you..

No the 40k is combined only for extension of stay based on marriage like you had before, just get any other visa if you want to stay like a NON-O

So what is the crack with the extra pages for other employers in your WP for, cant you just go from one employer to another to another be much more handy....does having a WP before help with the next application or is it irrelative?

Cant help you on the PR bit but the tourist visa will be 60 days extended for a futher 30 days..i belive that Laos are now issuuing a double tourist visa which means (i think) that you get 60 days then do a border run then get another 60 days then extend it by 30 days which would give a total of 150 days and then repeat the process as long as you like...

I stand to be corrected on this point though!!

Looks something like this:

In my case I originally entered on a B visa (bottom left corner stamp). In his case it'll probably indicate ED.

The bigger stamp at the left top indicates your current visa status.

If he still has his original passport where he entered Thailand with, only the top stamp will be there as the original will be on one of the first pages.

In my case, I went through quite e few passport already, hence the smaller stamps referencing to my original entry...

As you can see, it's not a visa per se, but a stamp indicating your visa status.

Visas can only be given at embassies and consulates, not within Thailand, but they can change your current status.

It's simply a matter of spending the time to do something that will give no benefit over the current configuration.

If the OP has this setup for a while then i would say leave it but as its a new clean install and just for the fact then it will become more complicated later then i would highly recommend re doing it with a 1 mirror 2 partion configuration...believe me

Should it be the case that you do have to leave in 7 days..then you can get a toursit visa from Laos, penang(although i v heard Laos is better) you can do this indefinately aslong as you want the 180day rule only appl;ys to visa exempt people..ie people who come in with no other visa and get 30day stamp

Sorry Monty i beg to differ....the OP hasnt stated how he has got his NON -B visa, if it was issued outside the thailand then he is okay to stay until the end of the NON-B and if he does a visa run before it expires then he can make that visa last 15months, if he is on an extension of stay based on his work then yes he has to leave within 7 days but only if he is on an extension of stay based on work..

Sorry i am really interested in this thread for my own personal benefit aswell...just one thing will they actually give him a Non-O?? I thought a extension of stay was not actually a visa as such and just meant that he is allowed to stay in the kindom for a futher 12 months
