  1. I have to say "no", I have never encountered this situation.

But if I had said "yes", so what? Is there something you want me to say? Would my actions be relevant to your situation?? Personally I would have told the Monk to catch his wallet as I threw it in the opposite direction. Do I care what you would have done?? Not the least bit.

I see somebody is fitting to there username......

Do i care thst there really are idiots in the world like you..no

Does the OP... i doubt it..

Do you have to duck your massife head when you go through doors...definately

  2. something fishy going on here....

You have known the owner for 7 years yet when you ask him about it he kicks up a right stink, some friend.

Your are in a bar with beautiful women buying them 10 beers and you wife doesnt mind

It had already happended 2 days previous yet you decide to go back for a 3rd day even though you know you have been scammed

If this was your mate of 7 years wouldnt it have been better if you had a private word the 1st time it happened so it didnt escalate not wait for a 3rd day. it seems it should be you that cant be trusted..

  3. I can only speak from a english perspective but what i did was go to the embassy get a afirmation to marry which cost 3500 baht, then went to the nearest translating place who translated it and got it stampped by the thai goverment department(cant remeber which one) at 800 baht which took 1 day , then went to the local amphur and signed the marrige papers which i did in 20 mins and cost me 500 baht..

It will be the same for you but the aussie embassy..good luck

  4. It isn't possible to open one with a Thai bank account.

You must have an overseas account, use your overseas address, and state that your business is in your home country. Have a friend or relative FedEx you the card.

You can not transfer funds into the PayPal account from Thailand.

This option is good for people with accounts back home that are tired of the high fees involved with transfers, withdrawals and currency conversion fees. It also isolates your bank accounts from your card helping to prevent fraud.

    Aloha

So you obviously arnt familiar with Paypal are you..

Yes you can use a thai bank account to withdraw funds

  5. I opened a joint one with SCB with no problems...but i will say..it is much easier if you just open your own bank in your own name..i was havin headaches galore things like..they wanted checks to be in both names to pay in, not being able to pay money in unless they have both names..much easier to open your own bank , K bank is best and the only one that will give you a virtual card to use on the net!!

  6. now there's a good business opportunity....................selling portable ashtrays!

Yeah very good idea a ashtray that youo can take with you........make a killing

What i want to know is why smokers think that even though it is illegal to smoke in a bar its there right to do so.....you wouldnt sit in a restraunt and do a line would you....

SMOKERS ITS ILLEGAL TO SMOKE IN A BAR SO STOP DOING YA FILTHY DISGUSTING HABIT WHILE ME AND MY BABY ARE TRYIN TO EAT

  7. Sorry to barge into the thread but I too am a rank amateur when it comes connecting to the internet by cellphone and laptop. Just to really show my ignorance, how do I go about connecting the cellphone to the laptop? Use the USB cable? Also, Monty, as you sound quite knowledgeable on these things, is my phone likely to be compatible, it's a Nokia 5310, has bluetooth, and connects to the internet by mistake when I push the wrong button, although I have never used it for internet intentionally. As the wifi connection at my condo is extremely unreliable I wondered if connecting using AIS and the laptop might be a better option.

Download Nokia Pc suite http://europe.nokia.com/pcsuite and follow the instructions for connection either by bluetooth or by USB cable if you have anymore problems post back

  8. Arr the old corned beef sarniee..what a thread..

This has got me missing home reading this thread as a corned beef is what i miss about home as you just cant get the ingreidents here...

Back home i would go with a thick crust warburtons bread with 2 rounds of red and 2 rounds of daddies brown sauce, couple of packets of prawn cocktail crisps and a nice mug of tead just to round it off....hmm
