  1. Tug, I saw just now on twitter he's already back in Poland.
  2. The usual cheerleaders on here seem to be completely flat-footed on this. They are reduced to loudly trumpeting things which have repeatedly been shown to be untrue.
  3. If I remember correctly they have refused him before. He tried to come here after getting out of jail in Cambodia.
  4. https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1603609466301059073
  5. You refer to a very common problem with minor criminals. To commit a crime you must be in control of most (if not all) factors, else you will be consigned to the slammer.
  6. Thank you. That perfectly explains why the rest of us refer to you jolly rascals as scallys. It makes sense it is derived from scallywag, but interesting that the language use has defined the users in this case,
  7. But wait- a 'scally' is a scouser, meaning no offence on your name of course. Other than that I think the OP was being a bit liberal with his language in order express his utter abhorrence of these dreadful louts.
  8. Fair enough, that too. I don't understand why elon decided to set himself up as an "evil bond villain" other than hubris and vanity, but let's hope he enjoys the full consequences.
  9. It's probably a bit figurative for you, but I believe he is referring to the habit of our least tolerant fellows refusing to serve minorities whose lifestyles they don't like.
  10. It's only a matter of time before space karen ends up in the slammer imo. Good.
  11. Thanks for that info Dr Joy. While not something I knew about, I'm not surprised by our hosts being a bit behind the curve on this or anything else. That was kind of my point too about exactly who is asking. The OP may think that he has to get this, but when it comes down to it, perhaps he has already been misguided. Both the Dept of Education and TCT have wanted me to show proof of degree, but I have never been asked for this in all my dealings as a teacher over 20 years.
  12. The encouraging thing to note about the EU is they take this corruption seriously and attempt to tackle it. Our lot in the UK just let that crook Mone slope off overseas to hide with her stolen 29 mill.
  13. A pertinent question I think: Exactly who will not accept your degree without notorisation?
  14. I'm not sure it's fun- it makes me feel bad. One fanboi here has made a particular fool of himself today, but I can't take much joy in that. The ones like Musk out in the real world have a real danger of getting innocent people hurt and killed though, which is much much worse.
  15. Really? I find that most surprising. They like you are "unbiased". Elon has shown himself to be a hypocrite of note and so horribly fragile it hurts. That 'only 10% were booing' followed up some time later on by blaming it on a fight breaking out in the audience was particularly cringe inducing.
  16. You are referring to that well known meme? You are considering that someone should be assassinated? What a strange duck you are.
  17. The tories have broken the NHS so they can sell it for pennies to enrich their own. It seems like a general strike may be needed to force these grifters out of power.
  18. No doubt one of our maga friends will be along soon to tell us all how this is a tiny technical book-keeping issue being abused by the deep state to persecute innocent gop lawmakers.
  19. The Mail doing what it does so well, raking muck, flinging faeces and no doubt as usual lying to its readers. What a dreadful rag. There was a time when it was not an approved source here. Wiki won't even accept it anymore.
  20. I have been quite surprised at the hot-headed and quite vitriolic responses this topic has been getting from our gammonati friends. I can't get that excited about it at all, though it seems like there is plenty of bad feeling to go round in the House of Windsor these days.
  21. Yes. I manage a maximum of thirty (relatively) motivated upper M kids per class, and have been doing for twenty years. Fifty young adults many of whom had zero interest would be daunting to me though.
  22. 50% for participation and the rest is gravy, TO ADD: Try and get a job at a better school.
  23. I did. I didn't say anything about you. I'm not letting you drag me into another ridiculous off topic waste of time. All the best.
  24. The list of people in the world you would trust to put a chip in your head does not include Elon Musk.
